Poston / Byers Cabin-Appalachian Ski Mountain-a pie de Esquí

A pie de pistas de esquí y patinaje sobre hielo !! Esquí Noche !! Esta es una casa de alquiler de vacaciones en las hermosas montañas Blue Ridge de Carolina del Norte. Nuestro chalet de tres niveles cuenta con techos abiertos, pisos de pino, loft de arriba, amplia terraza al aire libre y aparcamiento privado. Perfecto para la familia o pareja (s). Estamos convenientemente ubicados en una calle privada en Appalachian Ski Mountain, salida de la US 321, entre Blowing Rock y Boone. Muy cerca se encuentran Grandfather Mountain, Linville, Banner Elk y Haya de la montaña. Nuestra cabina es fácilmente accesible desde la Blue Ridge Parkway y en pocos minutos de tiendas y restaurantes. La información sobre las numerosas atracciones y eventos de la zona está prevista en la cabina para nuestros huéspedes.

En invierno el esquí de nieve y patinaje sobre hielo son menos de 300 yardas (a pie)! También hay esquí nocturno. Una estufa de leña de lujo con vistas al fuego mantiene la acogedora cabaña.

En verano escapar del calor y disfrutar de las temperaturas más frías de montaña.
Follaje de otoño es espectacular, con el Blue Ridge Parkway justo

Charlotte, the owner was very thoughtful and thorough in explaining how to access the home and left thorough instructions for anything we could think of around the house. Kitchen was stocked with spices and cooking supplies. Refrigerator was spotlessly clean upon arrival ready for all your groceries. The bottom floor basement, was a great area for my adult sons to hang out,Incredibly convenient location to walk to Appalachian ski Mountain. We came back for lunch in the middle of the day easily.They even had the home decorated for Christmas upon our arrival. Very special stay.
Parking available along the main street in front of the house. One large car or two small cars.
Secondary parking location for one vehicle, weather permitting. You can see the entrance of Appalachian ski Mountain resort from the porch. That is as far as you have to walk to be there.

If you are there to ski-the location couldn’t be better! However, we will not be returning for 2 main reasons that may be fixed for future tenants. First, the air quality-the mold smell from the basement made it up into the main living areas. The second is that tenants are required to take their trash to the city site. I wouldn’t have minded that except if you leave on a Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday the site is closed. There was no I mention of what to do then so you are forced to take it home or dispose of it illegally in someone else’s dumpster. It is a cute house with lots of things to explore. I hope the mold issue is fixed and directions for trash are added.

Cute and great location

Very cute place and loved the location. Right in the middle of Boone and Blowing Rock. Loved hearing the train as well when outside.The only thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was having to mail the keys back and taking the trash to the dump instead of having the cleaners take it. The amount of beds was not as described and we were stunned that one of the beds in the listing was a day bed instead of a big enough bed for 2 people. Other than that, we did enjoy our trip.

Dated but very charming. Only complaints are trash disposal and key policy. You have to mail keys back to owner. You must dispose of all trash after check-out. Left on Sunday and trash dump sites are all closed on Sundays.

Comforts of home

Our family had a fantastic stay at this cozy ski cottage! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the slopes, which made it so easy to hit the mountain without any hassle. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the equipment we needed to cook our meals, which made it feel like home. While the house isn't extravagant, it was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The vibe was warm and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a laid-back, convenient, and comfortable base for their ski trip!

Great Mountain Property, Only Steps to the Slopes

This property is as advertised, within walking distance of App Ski Mtn. The wood stove is amazing and heats the entire living area very quickly, which is great after a day out in the snow. We came to visit my son who attends App State and this was a perfect location. We would definitely stay here again, when we vist. Only complaints would be that you have to deal with your own trash removal, not sure why this isn't part of cleaing fee, and you have to mail the key back to the owner. I have stayed in many VRBO's and have never done this before.

Cottage in the mountains

The cottage was very clean and cute. Very close to Appalachian State. We definitely would stay here again. The fall colors were perfect but would love to come back in the winter to ski.

Great location

Cabin was clean and as advertised. Third bedroom is quite small but adequate. Third bathroom is in basement so not the best option for the rooms on the main and second floor. Owner was very easy to deal with and communicated well.Great location. Old fashion key lock and only one set of keys so a bit of a hassle for a group. Would recommend a keyless entry lock.

Pick somewhere else

Worst experience we have ever had at a VRBO. Daughter’s graduation weekend, had to find another place immediately after checking in. Place was dirty, lots of ants and spiders and cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom, old and musty. There was no way we would have been able to get a peaceful sleep there. The pictures of this place do not align. The pictures of the upstairs bathroom two bedrooms share aren’t even posted on the site, that’s how bad it is. Owner started off nice with my complaints then obviously was offended and mad, then was very rude. Spent graduation dinner finding somewhere else to stay. Hate to be so negative but we were beyond disappointed. I’ve never written a bad review before. Hoping to save someone that frustration. We did end up getting a refund.

Great family ski getaway

This was SO close to App Ski Mtn front gate, absolutely adorable property. The driveway was a bit steep, but no issues for my small SUV. Conveniently located between two small cities for night activities and dinners. Would absolutely stay again! Great for the skiing trip.

Great house with wood fireplace and plenty of room. Very clean and stocked with all of the kitchen pots,pans,dishes you need. Owner very friendly and responsive.

Beautiful location but house needs some work.

The location and view were wonderful. The price per night was great. The host was easy to communicate with and responsive. However, the keys had to be mailed back and forth which was awkward and inefficient. The house is very dated and needs a deep clean with attention to details of cleanliness. The loft shower is essentially unusable because of the awkward shower curtain. Having to turn the water on and off in the basement as well as deposit our linens down there was creepy.

Great weekend

We had a great weekend at the cabin. It was easy to find, and an easy drive to Blowing Rock and Boone. Note: The beds are all twin/single beds except the one on the main floor. And the bathroom upstairs and in the basement are tiny. But it’s very nice having 3 bathrooms! The deck is lovely for enjoying coffee in the mornings
