Come stay with us in our recently renovated country house in the historic Town of Hurley! You'll fall in love with the comfortable house and the natural yard. Swim in the creek or sit by the fire pit. We and our majestic willow in the backyard welcome you! There is a full two acres that backs up to the Esopus creek, a "speakeasy" style party space on the property, and is only minutes from Woodstock, the Catskills and Kingston.

The area is full opportunities for outdoor activities for all seasons. We are 15 minutes from the Mohonk Moutain Preserve and Minnewaska State Park, part of the Shawangunk Mountains, with the best rock climbing in the Northeast. The Catskills are directly adjacent to the house and offer rafting, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, rafting, fishing opportunities and much more! It's also a great area for antiquing in the Spring and Summer especially, with many local shops and roadside estate sales to stop in and go home with a unique find. And of course there's the opportunity to just stay at the house and cook / BBQ, swim in the Esopus creek (right out the back door) and sit by the camp fire.

About the owner: We had a dream to own a house in the Hudson Valley in order to find a calm retreat to counter balance our hectic city lives in NYC. And we found more than balance in our Hurley Farm House, we found joy and abounding mother nature.

Why the Owner Chose Hurley, NY, USA:
We call this property "Hurley Heaven", as we've found so much joy here. Not only in the gorgeous scenery in the area but also in seeing our hard work transform this little piece of natural heaven into a nurturing getaway that we never want to leave. We feel it was serendipitous to find this place, as we came across after a marvelous hike in the Shawangunk Mountains ("The Gunks"). Once we saw the huge willow in the backyard, casting a magical shade on the ground where we stood, we knew this was the place for us. In the years since we purchased the property we have put love, work and our hard-earned money into making this place as comfortable as possible. We think we got there and hope you'll agree. Now, when we aren't using the house ourselves, we are sharing this little piece of heaven with our guests.

The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
The house is extremely comfortable, and we've chosen everything personally, from the floor tile to the pillow-top beds, from the marble and granite counter tops to the plush chesterfield leather sofa, and even the wallpaper and local wall decor was thoughtfully gathered from local shops and antique stores. We love it when our guests enjoy the personal touches. And still there's the marvelous backyard where we've augmented mother nature's beauty with 2 patios and a former workshop turned party room. But nothing compares to our willow, keeping watch over the house and the guests and bringing her magical presence to our property and all who stay here.
