Cute place with fantastic views of Lake Bracciano

Sunsets and wine nightly were fantastic on the balcony. Short drive to restaurants, stores and Bracciano. It was a welcome pace after several days in Rome. Host was fantastic , too and met us at the apartment at check in.

A real find!

Beautiful villa, amazing views, quaint towns, gracious host. We couldn't have asked for more. It was a perfect place to relax for a few days after flying into Rome and cruising out of Civitaveccia. You must check this place out! ❤️❤️❤️

Our stay at La maison de Sophie was not only made perfect by the picturesque town of trevigano romano and the gorgeous flat in the hills but by the wonderful hosts of Eve and luigi. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The flat itself is as lovely as the pictures (which doesnt always happen) and is perfect for a romantic trip away with a mix of countryside and city. Relaxing and eating meals on the balcony overlooking the lake was a definite highlight and will be missed!

La Maison de Sophie

We loved having an elevated view of Lake Bracciano and watching the light change on the water from the terrace. We could dine al fresco in the warm balmy weather and the breeze is most welcome on hot days and nights. The kitchen is quite small but equipped with everything one could need. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine which makes such a difference. Plus folding chairs and a lovely mat for taking to the lake. Eve is a wonderful host and went out of her way to make our stay easy and special. Highly recommended.

Little slice of heaven!

An amazing view and a wonderful apartment that made us feel at home for our 5 day stay. So much sometimes it was hard to get motivated to leave for the days adventures. Eve has done a wonderful job at achieving a stylish and comfortable space. We loved the area and felt we made a wise choice not only in our apartment choice but also in choosing Trevignano of the 3 towns around Lake Bracciano. Walking along the lake under tree lined paths, stopping for a meal or a gelato will forever be one of our fondest memories of our trip. If you are lucky enough to visit the area I highly recommend having a meal at Aqcua Delle Donne. One of the best meals we have ever had in all of our travels...a true experience.

A quiet holiday on the lake.

We enjoyed our week here with views over the lake. The apartment had everything we needed and was a great base for exploring northern Lazio. The reserved car parking was always available. Eve, our hostess, gave us a great welcome, had made us a cake and toasted our holiday with a gift of Prosecco. We recommend this apartment for a quiet holiday with restaurants and a supermarket nearby. We loved the promenade along the lake front for a good walk from the house.

We had a fantastic time at this place. It was clean, well lit and beautiful. The balcony is perfect for the quite dinner with a nice glass of wine. You cannot beat the views. The way it is displayed online is exactly the way it is. We will be back. Working with the owner was awesome, super simple to rent.

Great apartment, great place, great owner

After researching many listings in the area we decided on Trevignano and La Maison De Sophie. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will be hard pushed to find better and we definately made the right decision staying in Trevignano over Bracciano, as recomended by our Italian freinds. Finding this gem of a place was a huge bonus. We arrived late afternoon and felt so relaxed in this apartment we'd settled in like it was home by early evening. This is a great apartment that really does feel like a home, the view is amazing, it is decorated very tastfuly, is super comfortable and peaceful being set away from the main road. The owner, Eve, was a joy to meet, she keeps the apartment clean and takes pride in it, she has a wealth of information on the area, where to go and what to do, which she is happy to share and give her time doing so. Our only complaint would be that we didn't have more time to spend there, we will be seeing you again Eve, thank you for a great stay and your hospitality.

La Maison de Sophie: The Perfect Retreat!

My family and I spent the final days of our trip to Italy at La Maison de Sophie. Although I had read many outstanding reviews about this property,it still exceeded our expectations. It was easy to locate by car and the setting was absolutely gorgeous! Situated at a higher elevation than most of the other homes, allowed for the most spectacular views. When we arrived ,we received a warm welcome from Eve. Upon entering her home, we were extremely impressed with its lovely furnishings(Eve has a true flair for decorating!)and beautiful views of Lake Bracciano from every room.We experienced a heightened sense of excitement as we stepped out onto the spacious veranda which boasts even greater panoramic views of the lake, lush vegetation, and surrounding hillsides. The cool breezes and tranquil sounds of nature ,along with comfortable lounge chairs and a dining set, made it the perfect retreat ! To be able to observe the sun rise and set was truly amazing. The home was very clean, equipped with many unexpected amenities, including a delicious bottle of French wine, compliments of Luigi, who we met the next day. Both Eve and Luigi were genuine and gracious hosts, who went out of their way to accomodate our every need and offered wonderful suggestions on places to visit and restaurants to dine at. The town of Trevignano Romano is quite charming! Taking scenic drives along the lake, visiting the quaint shops ,making daily trips to the fabulous bakery and foodmarket in town,as well as dining at some of the local waterfront restaurants, were some of our most enjoyable daily rituals. The apartment's ideal location, only a 30 minute drive to Rome, enabled us to spend more time sightseeing and we even returned one night for dinner. We also planned a day trip to Florence and stopped off in Sienna on the way back. Yet, the highlight of our trip was to simply relax and unwind at the lake , which we managed to do almost every day since the weather was just as perfect as our stay! Having spent the previous week in a luxury villa overlooking the sea on the Amalfi Coast, we thought nothing could top that experience. However, our stay at La Maison de Sophie was truly comparable, if not better in some ways .Our only regret was not having more time there. We will relish the memories and hope to return in the near future! We feel very fortunate to have discovered this little piece of heaven and to have met Eve, Luigi, and their absolutely adorable daughter, Sophie!

Wonderful holiday!

The apartment is very pretty and arranged with much love for detail. We found everything we needed. The view from the balcony is very beautiful so we had most of our meals outside enjoying the italian landscape. Trevignano is a nice little village with a lovely promenade, good restaurants and a peaceful atmosphere. You can reach Rome easily by train from Bracciano. We highly recommend this apartment, communication with Eve was always very friendly and helpful.

A home from home

A perfect way to enjoy Italy. The apartment was amazing. It came with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The view was incredible and we chose to cook and eat in most nights because there was no better view in Trevignano. Luigi was a wonderful host and we really appreciated his help getting to and from Trevignano from Bracciano and for showing us around on the first day. Trevignano itself is a lovely place with pretty bars and restaurants where you can just sit, relax and enjoy the lake. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and hope to return one day soon!!!

Romantic apartment with breathtaking views

The pictures do not at all exaggerate the beauty of Maison De Charme, it is simply gorgeous. The apartment is something out of a magazine, the decor makes it both romantic and very relaxing. It was also spotlessly clean. Sitting on the balcony, sipping coffee, eating cookies and looking at the view was so enjoyable it was difficult for us to get ourselves to the lake! The lake, however, is great, and Trevignano is a lovely town with many restaurants. We were having such a great time we extended our stay, and will definitely be back soon. Eve is very sweet and helpful (and should be an interior decorator!). I would have given 5 stars if there was air conditioning.

I have travelled very much for my job, and was born in Canada but have been living in Italy now for years, .
I have been living here for 14 years , and found the town the perfect spot just 40 minutes from Rome so easy to access daily .
It is a lovely town with much character and gorgeous sunsets and sun filled lake strolls,
the perfect place for children to play and feel safe, perfect for couples , romantic and relaxing, perfect for sports with lake sports and golf nearby, perfect for travellers looking for new adventures and towns to explore in the Lazio region .

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this apartment years ago , and moved here from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome.
It slowly became my home , the town life and the gorgeous view stil remain a part of me today, as here i feel at home and so relaxed.
Every season is perfect to visit Trevignano , as the sun shines mostly all year around and the town itself has the perfect setting , and history says the Etruscans settled here because of its outstanding location and sun filled lake view...
The town is just 40 minutes from Rome and many have established homes here, being easy to commute and grab the train .
This lakeside gem has much to offer with many outstanding restaurants and wine bars, pizzeria's and great ice-cream parlours, strolls down the lake strip are very relaxing and full of sunlight , the beaches are great for summer , lake sports and sun bathing ,
nearby towns are very interesting Bracciano and Anguillara, not the least Viterbo , Manziana , Calcata etc Civita di Bagnoreggio, The Necropoli of Cevereti Unesco site, Medieval town of Sutri
Take the chance to visit , you will not regret it
