Spend your vacation or business trip steps from the beach, cafe's, strand, Main St and Abbott Kinney shops and restaurants, Santa Monica Pier and 3rd St Promenade are also just a 5-15 minute walk.

All this while you are in our newly built peaceful and relaxing Santa Monica beach home. You will love the the relaxed and modern, yet casual feel, suitable for singles, two couples or a family. The house is fully furnished with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, off-street parking, hardwood floors throughout, open kitchen and washer/dryer.

SLEEP SPACES:

MASTER BEDROOM SUITE: Nearly 1000 square feet that includes a stunning view with floor to ceiling windows (and blackout shades) and California King bed with super comfy pillow top and a zen like bathroom with a separate shower, bathtub and toilet room / wash closet. It’s on a separate floor than the other bedrooms so has great privacy.

GUEST BEDROOM 1: Queen size bed with fantastic garden view. Shared bathroom with other guest bedroom, but has a private toilet and shower area so multiple people can use it at the same time.

GUEST BEDROOM 2: This doubles as both a bedroom and office. There are 3 twin beds that can be combined into a queen bed + a twin, desk, etc. and has a great view of the garden. Shared bathroom with other guest bedroom, but has a private toilet and shower area so multiple people can use it at the same time.

COMMON AREAS:

LIVING ROOM / GREAT ROOM: Stunning 1000 square foot great room with 30 foot high vaulted ceiling with architectural wood beams, fireplace, hard wood floors, sofa and chez lounge, 60” inch TV, Blu-ray player, huge windows that allow tons of light and much more!

KITCHEN is equipped with high-end appliances and every pot, pan, platter & plate you would need for holiday cooking, baking & serving (or the grocery store or Whole Foods nearby can do the cooking for you!).

EATING AREAS: Dining room table seats 12-14 people and there is a bar with seating for 4.

OUTDOOR PATIO with sofas, seating area, full BBQ and outdoor heaters.

POWDER ROOM is conveniently located just off the living room.

--2 CAR OFF STREET PARKING and 2 on street parking passes (our street requires parking permits which keeps spaces available most of the time)

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

Located just 300 meters from beach, just 1 block off Main St., and 8-10 blocks from each of the Santa Monica Pier, 3rd St Promenade and Abbot Kinney, this perfectly located house is a truly unique and wonderful space and amazing architectural features.

MAIN STREET: Awesome shopping/restaurant district is just 1 block away, where you will find every type of cafe and cuisine imaginable in all price ranges, and an eclectic mix of boutiques, vintage clothing, surf shops, history, galleries, etc. Urth Cafe is only 2 blocks away and Stella Barra (which many say has the best pizza in the city) is only 1 block away. A wonderful Sunday morning farmer's market takes place (email hidden) corner, which includes kid-friendly activities. Gourmet food trucks are stationed here on Tuesday nights, and the street is even prettier in the evenings around the holidays.

Only 8-10 blocks away (10 minute walk) is the famous Santa Monica pier with its amusement park & restaurants, downtown Santa Monica & the 3rd St Promenade which has 100's of stores and restaurants, movie theaters, and talented street performers (this is LA, after all!).

ABBOT KINNEY VENICE: The artsy/beachy/trendy neighborhood is also only about 8-10 blocks away (15 minute walk) and is home to some of the best restaurants in the city and some of the truly must see LA spots (Venice boardwalk, canals, Muscle Beach, “White Men Can’t Jump” basketball courts, etc.).

Both Santa Monica and Venice beaches and their attractions have been seen in countless movies & TV shows over the years, and always provide great free entertainment for the whole family!

Sorry, but NO pets allowed. No smokers and no drugs either.

KIDS: Our place is not great for people with very small kids because it is multilevel and I wouldn't want the young ones falling on the stairs. Also, the house hasn't been child proofed at all and we'd worry about accidents and injuries. Use your judgment, but we recommend no younger than 7 or 8 year olds.

PARTIES: This is not a party house. Please look elsewhere if you are looking to host a party somewhere.

This is our actual home and only want to share it with responsible, mature people who will treat nicely and with respect.

On May 12, 2015, the Santa Monica City Council adopted the Home-Sharing Ordinance reiterating its ban on the rental of entire units as vacation rentals. The Home-Sharing Ordinance also legalized the short term rental of a portion of a person’s home when the host lives on-site throughout the visitor’s stay and when the host obtains a business license. Hosts are also required to collect and remit Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) if not collected and remitted by the hosting platform. Santa Monica has some unique and strict home sharing laws and the owner is in compliance with Santa Monica laws by operating under business license #220668. Also, note that Santa Monica requires that this be a shared space and that the owner will also occupy the property during all guest stays. Also, if you choose to stay here, it is critical that you are respectful of the neighbors and neighborhood and not make lots of noise or party at the house.

Stellar Stay in Santa Monica!

Our close group of friends met in LA for a holiday weekend of fun and sun. We decided on Sean's place in Santa Monica due to its proximity to the beach and the wonderful neighborhood. We loved every minute of our stay and found the house perfect for our needs. Very clean, well stocked and organized. Sean was great with communication and suggestions for our stay. 5-Star!

Great home, great location and well outfitted - Positive Experience - Recommended

This home was ideal for our family weekend gathering. The indoor and outdoor living, cooking and eating space is at one end of the house with good privacy separation from the sleeping and bathroom areas. The great room opens to a bright, well-protected outdoor patio area with good seating, BBQ and eating space.

While five members of our family actually slept in the home, we were comfortably able to prepare and serve a sit down dinner for 11 people. Because this is the owner's actual home, and the owner enjoys preparing fine meals, it is very well stocked with cooking and serving utensils as well as plentiful dishes, glasses and silverware.

The weather was ideal during our stay which highlighted the homes access to plentiful natural light and very open and airy feel in the gathering spaces.

The location is very convenient to shopping, dining and the beach.

The greeting and departure were hassle-free and the owner provides a great instruction booklet for the house, including well-marked photos for way finding and operations. The owner was also accessible and responsive if a question arose.

Awesome home in Santa Monica!!!

We recently stayed at this beautiful home in Santa Monica. I have stayed in homes in Cape Town, Rome, New Zealand, the U.S. Virgin Islands and lots of other places around the world. This home certainly ranks among the best. What makes it so special is that the owners actually live there. It is unlike some homes that are strictly for renters, so you find that some appliances and other items don't always work as intended, such as dull knives and uncomfortable beds. However, since these owners take great pride in their home, everything is in top functioning order.

The home is located in a great neighborhood; within walking distance of very popular tourist destinations such as the Santa Monica Pier and the Santa Monica Promenade. Also walking distance to the beach and the Main Street area, which is more popular with locals--also where Wolfgang Puck's Chinois restaurant is located.

The carport is great which avoids you having to search for street parking, though the owner provides street parking tags if you want to park on the street. The driveway that leads to the car port is very narrow, so be careful. However, we had a mid-size SUV during our trip, and we managed the narrow driveway just fine.

The home has a beautiful indoor/outdoor living arrangement. The photo does not show the outdoor fire pit, which is a great treat on cool nights. I love to cook, so I was in heaven in the kitchen--fully stocked with everything you will need to cook a gala meal or a simple snack. The overall house is very spacious and nicely furnished. Huge windows throughout the house allow the sun to blast into every room, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful southern California sunshine at all times. (Because this is why you are in southern California after all, right?)

The owner was very easy to deal with; he provided a house guide in advance (which I appreciated reading before we arrived), and he was available if any problems arose. We had a very minor inconvenience where we did not have hot water on our last day, and the owner was super responsive.

Overall, I would highly recommend this property. If you are visiting the LA area and want to stay in Santa Monica, this is the place to be. It gives you the convenience of being within walking distance of the prime attractions and also the comfort of being in a home. I'll definitely be back next year when the cold, wintery climate on the east coast has me yearning for warmer temps.

Amazing home in Santa Monica!

I have vacationed at homes around the globe, from Cape Town to Rome to New Zealand, and this home in Santa Monica certainly ranks high on the list. It is conveniently located near the Santa Monica Pier and Promenade (a very popular and fun tourist destination) and also close to the Main Street area which is more of a hangout for locals. Also located on Main Street is Wolfgang Puck's restaurant, Chinois. The house is also conveniently located just off Highway 10. The neighborhood is excellent; very quiet, clean streets and well-maintained homes. If you are there during the Santa Monica Farmer's Market, you should definitely check it out for fresh fruits, veggies, flowers and other fun stuff to buy. The beach is just a few blocks away, a very easy walk, and the home is supplied with beach towels.

The house is a modern style, with all of the conveniences that you would expect. Great kitchen, amazing indoor/outdoor living arrangement (with indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces), a relaxing patio that has outdoor heaters for the occasional cool evenings and a seating area for outdoor dining. Since Sean lives here, the property is very well-maintained and he provided excellent customer service. The home was very clean upon our arrival, and Sean texted us after our first day to make sure everything was going well. He was very responsive to our needs, even the minor inconvenience that occurred when we were without hot water on our last day.

The home has a carport, so you do not have to compete with the residents for street parking, although the owner does provide parking permits if you want to park on the street or if you have more than one car. The driveway that leads to the carport is very narrow, but if you drive slowly on the driveway, you should be fine. We had a mid-size SUV and we managed the narrow driveway just fine.

The home is an excellent choice for visitors who want the comforts of staying in a home, with all of the benefits of being in Santa Monica. This is an awesome home!
