2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom in Zone 5 of Son Bou
Beautiful Little Apartment!!!
We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in this lovely little Apartment. Upon arrival we were instantly impressed with all we could see.
We visited the beach on our first day and we're somewhat surprised at how far walk it was to be honest. We have 5yr old and a 3yr old so it wasn't so much the 5min walk that the apartment advertisement had implied. It was more 20mins. Having said that, we did visit several times but probably not as much as we'd like as it was a bit far when carrying all our beach stuff (and kids) in the heat.
All the amenities in the apartment and around were spot on. Pools, supermarket, patisserie, restaurants and evening entertainment. The kids loved the DVD selection!!!
Also what was slightly misleading is there was no washing machine which the advertisement had also implied. I have given it 5 stars as the beach walk and washing machine weren't really things I feel spoilt the holiday in anyway. We would love to visit again!! Highly recommended.
Thank you for your comments and I will bring the lack of washing machine up to the owner as we were not aware that it was no longer there, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you think of us again for any future trips
The Balearic Islands region
Menorca has a corner for everyone, be they a lover of remote beaches, bustling city life, lively resorts, charming restaurants or sporting activity. Less than two hours away by plane from Britain, this jewel of the Balearic islands has been a magnet for visitors since the earliest days of tourism. Yet it retains an unspoiled, typically Spanish charm and continues to welcome holidaymakers of all nationalities and temperament. There's nowhere quite like it anywhere in the world...
The resort of Son Bou in the municipality of Alaior, on the south coast of Menorca, it is renowned for having the biggest and probably best beach on the island. The resort is located around 20 kilometres from the international airport at Mahon.
Son Bou is a relatively new modern resort, with a brand new villas and apartments dominating the area.
The resort has good amenities, including supermarkets, tourist shops, restaurants, bars and even a disco. However, for more bigger shopping centres you should head to the nearby town of Ciutadella, or into the capital Mahon.
Far removed from Menorca's typical 'calas' (coves), the beach at Son Bou stretches out for 2.5 kilometres; dunes and freshwater beds fringe the back of the beach. Towards the Santo Tomas
end, there is a nudist beach.
There are options for pedalos, canoes, waterskiing and jet skiing.
There are a range of bars and restaurants in Son Bou; in fact the resort features one of the islands few discos. The majority of nightlife is relatively low key, being based around the restaurants, bars and hotels that offer scheduled entertainment.
