Our historically restored 1912 home is located in the Stilliguamish Valley 2 minutes outside the quaint Scandinavian town of Stanwood and in the heart of farming and snow goose country. Flocks of snow geese abound from early October to late April.

The Historic Lady Florence private apartment is located on the 3rd floor of the house. This 1500 sq. ft. space is perfect for families, medium event groups, group retreats, or someone looking for short-term rental. There are two large rooms in the apartment that fit up to 8 people comfortably. One room contains a King bed and sitting area, and the second room includes four built-in bunkbeds and a double bed. Besides the spacious bedrooms theres also a private kitchenette, sitting area, dining area, and full bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. For large parties there are two bathrooms available.

About Elizabeth Christianson

We are a long time Stillaguamish River Valley farming family. The Northwest is famous for its beet, cabbage, and spinach seed production. Our family is in its fourth generation of farming these crops. My husband and I purchased and remodeled our house from the ground up starting in 1990. Our house has had quite an evolution helping to raise four children and run a farming business. Life changed drastically for us a couple of years ago when the love of my life passed away. We sold the farming business but kept the land and the house. We are opening this wonderful property up to the public so many others can enjoy it also.

Guests are able to access the apartment by the Front door of the house and go straight up the stairs to the 2nd floor and continue up to the apartment. Shared Inside space: The 1st floor music room, dining room, and living room are open for visitors to relax and explore. Shared Outside Space: The front and back yard are available for guests. The landscaping around the house, pond feature, and green house in the back yard offer plenty of space for guests to rest and relax. There are two brick fireplaces in the back, for an extra fee they can be lit upon request in the evening hours to enjoy the starry wide open skies.

Enjoyable Stay In Eccentric Florence!

Had a great with family here at the Florence property. Loved the tranquil gardens and relaxing in the hammock, the look and feel of our rooms, and the friendly hosts! Would definitely come back some time when travelling to and from BC! ♡

-Only booked and confirmed guests may stay overnight.
-Washer and dryer are available for those staying a minimum of 2 nights.
-Please be respectfully quiet between 10 PM-7AM. If you would like to enjoy a TV show or movie, you may do so on an
electronic in your room with headphones on.
-Feel free to park your car anywhere that there is an open space in our driveway.
-If you run into any of our neighbors, please say you are a house guest of ours,
and NOT an Airbnb guest. :)
-There is No Food Policy in the bedrooms. In order to ensure the historic presence and bedding of the rooms remains intact we appreciate if you please refrain from eating in the rooms. The dining area in your kitchenette provides ample room to enjoy your meals, as well as, the outdoor kitchen area.
