Perfect Condo for Our Family of 6

  • 5 of 5

We loved our place and were impressed by the cleanliness and prompt response when we had a question or needed something. One of the ceiling fan blades broke, so I called to report it, not to ask for repair. A service man came right away and told us new blades would have to be ordered, then he returned with a very nice floor fan for us to use. The air conditioning works well, but we like fans. The location of the unit is perfect for walking to the beach, the shops, pool, and restaurants nearby. There are steps, no elevator and it's not wheelchair accessible. You should know that the beach is on a bay, so you don't have waves. If you want the ocean, you can take a trolly, drive, or bike if you're in good shape. We have little ones, so we drove to the Sea Pines beach club where you can rent chairs and umbrellas.

Hop, Skip and a Jump

  • 4 of 5

A hop, skip and a jump from just about anything you could need! Steps away from the inlet beach where we watched boats, swam, walked and sunned. There were so many dolphins it was amazing. They often came within 10 feet of the shoreline - even with swimmers in the water. Location was perfect as we ate at the Salty Dog, Parasailed and went Jet Skiing at the marina next door, used the walking paths, running and community pool. Plenty of parking, easy unload & reload. The condo itself was beautifully decorated, clean and well appointed. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for meals we prepared. Beds were super comfy! We went to Pine Bluff Beach one day which was awesome. Restrooms, showers, restaurant with patio dining, & plenty of beach for everyone. Chairs & umbrellas for rent if you need. We also left the Bluff almost daily for various restaurants, beach, shopping etc. This was a perfect mix for us of close enough to get to high activity areas but far enough to have real peace and relaxation and family environment. I would definitely go again and recommend the condo to others.

Fantastic location and a well-kept property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property for a long weekend with our two young children. The location couldn't be beat! It is located in easy walking distance to the beach and the South Beach Marina and it's amenities (Salty Dog, shops, small playground, boat tours, bike rentals, trolley stop). This was invaluable for us since it meant we didn't have to constantly pack up our kids and gear to go to the beach. The beach was very nice and we saw dolphins every time we went. As for the unit itself, we found it to be quite spacious and it is probably the cleanest we've ever stayed in. The open concept living area was great and gave us lots of room to spread out. The porch is a good size too. The view is of a grove of trees which provides screening from the road. Although a water view would be nice, this was peaceful and felt private. Since we were traveling with a two-year old and newborn I do need to share two comments for parents with young children: 1) As mentioned in other reviews there are stairs to access the unit, that in and of itself wasn't an issue for us, but what was troublesome is that the railings on the stairs have horizontal rails instead of vertical spindles so a young child could easily slip under the rail and fall down the center of the stairwell, for that reason we had to carry our two year old up and down instead of letting him walk; 2) the second bathroom has a bathtub but there is one of those sliding glass doors on it so it can be a little difficult to bathe young children. These are small things and did not significantly impact our experience, I just share them so parents can be aware. Overall, we would highly recommend this unit and location, and hope to return. Thank you!

Had a great stay in Bluff Villas!

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleasantly surprised with this unit! We were worried about it being 3 flights up- well it's really just 1.5 (3 sets of 8 or so steps) so that was no big deal. Great kitchen, really well stocked, and an enormous bar. Was much closer to Salty Dog than I expected, was a 60 second walk- but we slept with windows open and never heard it- perfect. Shortest walk to the beach we've had in all of our South Beach stays. Only complaints are that it was not obvious that the pool didn't open until 2 weeks later, the internet was really slow, and a few light bulbs were out. We plan on staying there again!
