We had a small wedding and reception at the house and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The property and house got many compliments from our guests. We truly had the best time here and plan to return again. Such beautiful memories we made here!

Beautiful Home and Property . We all enjoyed our stay. It made our weekend special and something we will always remember. The property and the house were fantastic! Our group of dads and kids had a great weekend, hiking, tubing in the creek and swimming in the clean, frosty pond! Thanks to Michael and Josh for being such great hosts!

Birthday Bash a success!

The location was fantastic—secluded and perfect for a peaceful weekend escape. I would rate it 4 stars overall. The hosts were responsive and helpful, and the house was clean and well-stocked with all the necessary kitchen supplies for easy cooking and cleaning. However, I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the photos were a bit misleading. The rooms were smaller than expected, and two of the bathrooms were located inside bedrooms, making them less accessible for all guests. Additionally, while the seclusion is great for privacy, guests should be aware that outdoor activities like hiking trails are still quite far from the property. If visiting in the winter, keep in mind that the roads within five minutes of the house are not plowed or salted, making driving conditions dangerous. It would be helpful to clarify these details in future descriptions. Otherwise, the house is beautiful and I will book there again in the summertime if another opportunity arises.

Absolutely beautiful

We gathered as a family for a winter birthday weekend and couldn’t have asked for a more magical spot - the home was cozy and had everything (and more) that we needed, the hosts were gracious and extremely accessible. Plenty of dry firewood for some great fires. We hiked the many snowy trails and burned off our s’more calories. It was quiet and lovely and the kids had a great time sledding.

Perfect secluded getaway!

Our stay at Michael and Josh's place was everything we wanted it to be and more. The check-in process was very easy, the property had everything we needed, and Josh and Michael were very responsive throughout our entire stay. Everyone in our group had a great time walking around the woods, relaxing next to the fire, and playing outside. We are definitely looking forward to staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a private, spacious, cozy, nature-filled getaway.

40th birthday celebration

I took over a dozen friends to this place to celebrate my 40th birthday and spent 4 days here. My goal was to find a secluded place with generous lodging and amenities, and this place delivered! The house was spacious and equipped with modern amenities including high quality bluetooth speakers and an updated kitchen, but also filled with a panoply of charming and curious antique items. It was also well stocked with games (boardgames as well as pool, table tennis and karaoke). The lawn is vast and we utilized it for a bonfire, frisbee, and even set up a slip n slide. We also hung out by the nearby lake and some of us went swimming in it or just relaxed on an inflatable. Everyone in attendance was effusively complimentary of the house and grounds and kept asked where I found this gem. I highly recommend a stay here!

Birthday celebration

This was the best location yet and we’ve been renting properties through VRBO for years. The cabin was spotless! There was nothing that you needed. It was all there for you. This was by far our best trip and I can not wait to go back! We LOVED IF!

Mountain family reunion

My six siblings, their spouses, and I loved the property. The house had lots of room and lots of vantage points to enjoy the beautiful scenery, nearby pond, lake and rolling hills. Hiking was excellent: a short walk and we circled the lake or the more adventurous hikers took off for the woods trails. The kitchen was beautifully equipped with room for many chefs. All these features made for a great reunion!

Great place for a big group

We stayed here for a family wedding in Berlin with 6 families from all over the country and kids from 10 and up. What a find! Such an interesting and beautiful property- perfect for us. So well stocked and open floor plan was great for a large group. Very clean and great communication with property owners/managers. Thank you for sharing this treasure with us!

Incredible property

Hosts were awesome, the house has everything you need even including water toys, kayaks, fire starter, etc. The kids played in the lake and pond all day. The hiking trails are wonderful, it’s better than the listing can describe.

one of a kind property

I've stayed at this home several times with old friends as a sort of reunion for our group. The property is picturesque, peaceful, and private. You feel like you have a whole valley to yourself in a beautiful mountain setting. Hope to stay again soon.

Wonderful Place

Such an awesome property for a long weekend. Everything is super clean and spacious. Property is quiet and serene and a great escape. Hosts are very easy and pleasant to work with. We've stayed here numerous times and look forward to our next trip!

A wonderful week in the mountains!

What a great property! Very private with beautiful views. We loved exploring the trails during the day, as did the pups. We picked a rainy week, but those days were just as enjoyable spent in front of the fireplace and playing pool in the game room downstairs. The large porch was great for looking at the stars at night, nothing like what you'd see at home! You can tell the house itself has been recently updated, it was clean and had everything we needed for our large group. Would love to stay here again!
