THE RIVER RETREAT IS CALLING YOU! IT”S TIME TO RELAX!
Our “River Retreat” is the most relaxing river property in Whitefish, Montana. It has a perfect location. Being located right on the Whitefish River, you are able to walk just 3 blocks to all of the shopping, restaurants, pubs, and the Amtrak train station. In the winter ski season are also able to pick up the SNOW bus just three block away. This quaint true “Four Season Resort Town” has many things to offer.. We have remodeled this 1750 square foot 3 level, two bedroom, 2 ½ bath, with a loft bedroom “Condo” on the Whitefish River. Our home has all the amenities you could ask for, including a full size washer/dryer, large wall mounted 46' screen smart TV with cable & high speed Wi-Fi. The kitchen is upgraded with granite counter tops, full stainless steel deep sink and a large open views in many directions. The dining room/living room overlooks the river, while the living room has leather furniture and a wood burning stove. Our property has 4 individual decks, (one faces east, one faces North, and two face the river. You can select from where you want to chill out. Cook your meals on the large deck w/ BBQ off the dining room overlooking the river. The newly remolded shower/bath and laundry room are located on the main level. As you work your way downstairs, you will experience a large master bath with heated floor and Jacuzzi tub for those tiring ski days. The very large master bedroom also has a couch with queen sized sofa sleeper. It is not until you open the double French doors upon deck, you realize your only feet from the beautiful and peaceful river! Travel back up past the main level and you will see both the second bedroom and the attached loft room with bathroom, large closet space and TV. The river retreat will comfortably sleep 6 adults, or 4 adults and up to 3 children when using the sofa sleeper.
Our property is located less than a mile from the famous Whitefish Lake Golf Club, an easy 15 minute drive to Whitefish Mountain (Big Mountain) for skiing, or a 30 minute drive to our nations “Gem”, Glacier National Park. Grab the mountain bikes under the deck, or walk out the front, across the grassy field and stroll Whitefish's bike path along the river to Whitefish Lake and city beach for a day of fun! The “River Retreat” really makes for a great central location while visiting many fun adventures during the day in northwest Montana.
We have worked hard to make “Our home, your home.” Come, bring your family and relax as much as possible, while you are on vacation here in Whitefish. Maybe grab our canoe, or Kayaks for an adventure down the river to jump off the bridge into the river, or up river to spend the afternoon on Whitefish Lake . Our home really makes for a great central location for just relaxing, or plan some great memories while visiting many fun adventures during your stay in northwest Montana.

About Scott and Leigh Ann
After first visiting Whitefish, Montana in the late 90’s, I knew this was the place to be! With a career in the airline industry, and traveling all over the world, I soon discovered there was no place like Northwest Montana, and I knew I had to buy a home here. We come as a family 3-4 times a year, and spend some very memorable times here in this home. From river rafting the Flathead River, and skiing Big Mountain and hiking in Glacier National Park, my children will have lifetime memories in which I am grateful. Every year during the off season, or when time permits, we constantly are upgrading our property. So come and enjoy as we do! Take with you some great memories………

Please read the reviews of our guests. We are the end unit of only 9 townhouses (furthest from the road) on the Whitefish River, you will experience peace and quite, while having the ability to only walk just several short blocks into town to the grocery store, Amtrak Depot, restaurants, pubs, shopping that is located throughout Central Ave. Across the side field is the walking/bike path that will take you to Whitefish Lake & City Beach. Our locality is really centered around all of the valleys awesome activities. Being located on the river, grab our canoe or kayak and enjoy your time on the water!
What makes this Townhome unique
As soon as you walk through the front door, you will feel at home. Lay by the wood stove in the winter or fall asleep out on the deck, and be lazy on a summer afternoon, as you watch the kayaks paddle by. In the evening, light the fire pit on the deck, and enjoy the warm long summer nights. We also provide bicycles, a canoe and kayaks to cruise the river and lake. ***If you are traveling with more than one family or a group, our family has another property close by! Makes for a perfect large family get together!!

an outstanding rental in every regard
This is a casual, unpretentious, roomy, immaculate, well kept, and very comfortable rental in the heart of downtown Whitefish. It is near but not next to restaurants, bars, and craft shops. We enjoyed dinner out at Loula's, Pescado Blanco, and Last Chair Kitchen. We appreciated the coffee and wine that Scott and Leigh Ann left for us.
The photos and descriptions online are accurate. All rooms are well furnished and the kitchen is very well stocked. The rental is on the river and has 4 decks - a small one at the front door, larger ones off the living/dining room and master bed room, and a medium sized one, with lots of outdoor furniture to relax on, off the living room. The amount of privacy, indoors and on the decks, is good. There is lots of storage space for clothing and gear, as well as one sheltered and one outdoor parking spot (each off-street).
We visited for a week in late September. Temperatures (outdoors) were 20 degrees below normal, the western 2/3 of Glacier National Park were closed because of forest fires, and the east side of Logan Pass was closed for several days due to heavy snow. As a result we had to drive 4 to 6 hours round trip each day just to get into the eastern part of Glacier. It was worth it! Consequently we spent less time in the rental condo than we anticipated but it provided a very comfortable and complete home away from home for the time that we were there. We could easily see how access to the various decks and the river would be amazing during the summer and how the jacuzzi would be inviting apres ski in the winter.
This rental is just about as close to perfect as possible, and we would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it highly. As we write this review, we are hard pressed to think of where there might be room for improvement, but there are a few small things. Mainly, we would have appreciated more and better reading light in the dining and living rooms and in the bed area of the master bed room. Written instructions for the TV set up would be helpful and a reliable wifi network would also be a plus.
But regardless, this is a great 5 star rental. We really enjoyed our visit and you will too. Thanks, Scott and Leigh Ann, for sharing.
The hosts were great, and the place was awesome as well. Location is perfect as is super close to the town. Within walking distance to bars and restaurants. Took the canoe out on the river and took in some beautiful views. Strongly recommend staying here.
Riverfront Condo by downtown Whitefish
Condo exactly as described with clean, updated interiors. Owners were directly involved in the rental and assisted us with all inquiries on the home and local destinations. Would definitely recommend this to all that want access to Glacier NP and skiing!

Couldn't be a better location. Very short walk to shops restaurants and bars. Property is very spacious and liked having access to bikes and canoes being right on the water. Exceeded expectations by far. The owners were wonderful to work with, very caring people. Unreservedly would recommend this property to anyone.
We had a wonderful stay. Scott and Leigh Ann's town home is wonderful, convenient to Whitefish and Glacier National Park and very comfortable. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
Great location on the river and a short walk to downtown Whitefish. The canoe was
great and its an easy paddle all the way into Whitefish Lake. Patio areas were nice.
There were some issues, the firepit didnt work, only on TV worked, the air conditioner
up stairstairs didnt work. Would still strongly recommend it.
We are so sorry for the fire pit issue. We realized we had a faulty propane tank that we had just purchased and replaced it as quickly as we could after your stay. We have had no issues with the upstairs A/C and just used it while we were there for 2 weeks. We wish you would have called us so we could have walked you through getting it started. While we rarely have guests wanting more than one TV, we have just brought up a Firestick that will allow more than one TV to access the wifi and television channels if wanted.
We are glad the majority of your stay was pleasant and we hope you will think of us if you are in Whitefish again.

Cancelled bookings 30-59 days = 50% refund. Cancelled bookings 0-29 days = no refund unless re-booked.
