When I was between jobs and our children were very young, my mother convinced us to get away for a few days and suggested the Poconos. 'The Poconos???!!!' I said...immediately heart shaped beds, champagne glass hot tubs and all that is tacky is what came to mind! Lake Naomi could not be further from that vision! We visited with friends in Lake Naomi and quickly became hooked! We are avid tennis players and the facilities were extremely attractive! Courts are super well maintained, a separate clubhouse and pro shop, high level competition, not to mention the gorgeous lake and pools - we loved our time there! We own places at the beach and this is the place we relax the best, year round! You can choose to be solitary or find a pick-up game if one feels like venturing out, find a desolate beach with idyllic views of the lake or eat with friends poolside or lakeside and have a delightful and satisfying culinary experience.
We fell in love with LaMaison when we pulled up to the house! Steps from the Lake Naomi pool, we were instantaneously struck with the open floor plan and the two story stone fireplace as soon as we opened the front door! We loved the fact that if you are in the kitchen you are still a part of what may be unfolding elsewhere, enjoying a roaring fire or just hanging out after dinner either sitting around the large DR table or outside on the screened in porch.
When we need to get away, this is where we come, year round and so close to home! Rarely is traffic an issue and if we want to shop the outlets, hike, ski, antique shop, eat at a fine dining establishment, walk the boutiques at Kalahari (my kids are bummed it wasn't built sooner!) ski or check out Camel Beach, Jack Frost or Big Boulder or even venture north to Elk, the opportunity exists within Lake Naomi or nearby.
