What makes this Apartment unique
Read what David said May 31, 2019 We stayed here for a Manhattan experience for 10 days in February. Apartment is in the heart of Tribeca with multiple subway lines within a few blocks. Access to all of the city is excellent. Brooklyn bridge is within easy walking distance. Whole Foods is an easy walk as well. Location couldn’t be better and it is in a very safe area on a quiet street with no traffic noise. The apartment is easily accessible on the second floor up a wide stairwell. Apartment is quite spacious and open with a high ceiling, tastefully decorated with artwork and functional furniture. The pictures accurately reflect the space. Ktchen was well stocked with utensils and dishware. It was the middle of winter and we were quite warm and comfy. The two bedrooms sit towards the rear of the apartment and each offers a modicum of privacy. The bed was quite comfortable. The hosts were quite attentive. I would recommend this Tribeca apartment whole heartedly. I think one would be hard pressed to find such a spacious and tastefully appointed space in this area at such a reasonable rate.

Stay During NYC Marathon
I had never been to NYC before. Finding this place on VRBO just before our trip was such a blessing. We had no trouble traveling from the airport via public transit to getting to the property and checking-in. I traveled with my wife and 2 kids (ages 11 and 8). The access to the subways was perfect for us. We never felt like the neighborhood was unsafe in any way. The place was clean and had plenty of amenities that we needed. We were able to do a couple quick loads of laundry with the shared laundry appliances in the hallway just outside. It was quiet and conveniently located. There are plenty of coffee shops within walking distance also. The hosts were very responsive which is reassuring when you are traveling across the country with your family. To the hosts - thank you for having us! To future guests - you won't regret your stay here.
We had a great time in TriBeCa. Lots of room plus handy to multiple subway lines. Convenient grocery and liquor stores less than a block away. Owner was very accessible - provided detailed communication prior to our arrival and responded promptly to any questions we had during our stay. Bonus - really interesting art hanging in the apartment.
The property location is fantastic. The owner was easy to get a hold of. The decor is dated.
New York Experience
I was with my two grandchildren (12 and 14 years) in New York for 5 days. We enjoyed the apartment a lot. All the amenities were there, the location was great with easy access to the subway. An additional bonus was that a basketball court and skate park in nearby Hudson Park were within a 5 - 10 minute walk. After all the sightseeing, the three of us could go there and relax.
This is the kind of vacation everyone hopes to take at some point with their grandkids, so it was great to hear that your family visit went so well. Hope you got to see everything you wanted and that you all made wonderful memories.
The owners were very accommodating and checked up on our stay a couple of times throughout the week, making sure we are enjoying our vacation and that we have everything we need at the apartment.
It was so nice to have a place to retreat to after hours of sight-seeing. We enjoyed hanging out in the living room, grabbing a snack and glass of wine from the fridge. Facilities were clean, Wifi worked great, and apartment was very quiet, which was a bonus.
Lovely to hear that your family visit was great and that you had everything you needed. We are very fortunate to have so many guests that return year after year and leave such lovely comments. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Apartment in need of some work!
My review on the loft apartment in Tribeca. It was the most dated apartment I have ever stayed in. The price I paid, I expected a place a little more updated than what it was. The information sent to me had the most “do not’s” that made you feel very uncomfortable from the start.
On first arrival and opening the front door you were greeted with a good number of stairs. The hallway, quite grubby, I might add. Once up the stairs and going into the actual loft apartment, we were greeted with a pungent smell of mothballs. Inside the apartment that was advertised as a two bedroom, you found just a flimsy partition that divided the bedrooms. No privacy, one bedroom had a double bed and the other bunk-beds. Not ideal for two couples – as it states it sleeps 4 people.
The shower was very temperamental, hot water scolded us a few times, then ran cold, minor I understand, but not when you would like to shower without trying your best not to get burned. The pipes throughout the apartment are exposed, making way for lots of pipe noises when the heating came on. The one in the main bedroom was very hot, so be careful if you bring children in there.
It was quite stuffy inside the apartment and the “do not’s” continued with not to open the large windows and put the A/C on - there was no A/C (not that we found). So, you just have to wrap up in the morning and strip down in the evening, when it became stuffy.
Would I return to this apartment, absolutely not, would I recommend this apartment, absolutely not, unless you don’t mind what I have written about it.
The positive I can review about the apartment – good location, that's why I have given it two stars!
Our review average is 436 out of 6,293 with well over 100 lovely 5* reviews. We always suggest that guests read our other reviews. This person cleverly booked for 2 singles and was in fact 2 couples, which our listing clearly states we do not accept, as it is not a traditional 2 bedroom but a loft apt with 2 separate sleeping areas. We do however accommodate a couple with younger children. They broke some things and never contacted us other than to say everything was fine! We did not even charge them. They arrived in April and AC goes on in May. Heat is controlled by law in NYC which can get cold in winter and spring..
Apt is 3 blocks from the wonderful Hudson River Promenade, where there are miles of uninterrupted biking, jogging and pedestrian paths along the water, that go all the way uptown, as well as several other lovely waterfront parks, with childrens only playgrounds in a wide traffic free zone. There are tennis courts and splash pools for children, picnicing, movies in summer at night, sand volleyball courts, mini golf, rollerblading, ping pong, batting cages, bike rentals and an incredible trapeze park, where you can take lessons or just watch the fun. There is very good boutique shopping nearby as well as several nearby nice gyms. Wonderful new spa right nearby.
All NYC has to offer is at your fingertips, with express subway one block away. Midtown shopping (10 min.) Javits Center(10 min.), Linclon Center, Metropolitan Museum, Broadway theatres are all easy to get to.
