Gorgeous views, peaceful tranquility

  • 5 of 5

My dog and I loved it here! Was exactly what I was seeking - quiet, beautiful, lots of nature, water views galore. The house is a little rustic, but I found it charming and cozy. The views could not be beat and the sunrise in the main bedroom every morning was outstanding. Coffee outside while my dog frolicked around. Walks along the beach. A perfect quiet restorative weekend away from crowds and traffic! Slept with the windows open and was lulled to sleep by the sound of the water. The stairs were great exercise and nice that there were recycling bins up top. Stephanie was super responsive to all my questions - when I inquired about getting firewood down to the fire pit and if there was anything to carry it in - she said there wasn't. Then within 1/2 an hour - she had delivered a tote to carry the wood down which was super handy! The tea selection was a nice touch, also. The Maury Island Marine Park was also a pretty spot to visit. This is a beautiful relaxing little place and I would come back.

Great spot!

  • 5 of 5

Very sweet house right on the Sound. Wonderful views from every room. Exceptionally private and very cosy. Great outside space for morning coffee as the sun rises. A few things that were disappointing: we are not big fans of teflon cookware and there is nowhere to recycle. These are minor compared to the wonder of the home. As the description says, there are a lot of steps down to the house. We didn't mind this. Just remember, what is hauled down, goes back up! We would definitely rent here again. Enjoy!

Beautiful water views

  • 3 of 5

Every room has a water view however the rental is definitely in need of some TLC. It also feels as if the property has shifted and is leaning.

Great view is an understatement

  • 4 of 5

This house is all about the views, which were delivered in abundance! The house itself though is a little in need of updates. The two, East facing bedrooms don't have the right amount of curtain panels to cover the windows, meaning you sure do get the morning sun. I can't for the life if me figure out why there would not be full coverage of the bedroom windows. The whole house slopes toward the water, which is a little concerning, and I'm pretty sure the tank emerging from the ground near the fire pit is the septic tank. The steps down to the cabin are indeed steep and numerous, with a few needing replacement imminently. The views are spectacular, though!
