Beautiful house, looks just like the pictures online.

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I walked into a freshly cleaned home (as we were entering, the cleaning team was walking out the back door), and that helped set the tone for our trip. There was more than enough room for the four of us, and the fully stocked kitchen made it super easy to cook dinner/snacks during our visit.

We didn't rent a car this trip, but getting around with uber/lyft was very convienent. Some places to visit: Red Rocks (for those wanting to hike; they sometimes have concerts there as well), the Noshery for breakfast (it's around the corner from the house and the food is delicious), the ViewHouse (about a 15 minute drive from the house; the rooftop seating + a cold beer = a chill part of your day) and the Universal (the serve brunch and have a grits of the day special everyday. The wait can be a lot but it's totally worth it).

Thanks again for hosting us Kevin! We hope to return soon!

Excellent Location, Excellent Host!

  • 5 of 5

The Rock House was a great place to stay. Located in a cozy neighborhood and an excellent location that is close to everything in Denver. Kevin was easy to deal with and everything there was as described. Fit our group of 5 perfectly fine.

House is cute and very convenient location. Worked very well for us.

  • 4 of 5

Only downside was some electrical issues that required us to locate the box which took some time since it was outside. There are signs posted around the house not to run too many things at one time (hair dryers & clothes dryer, etc), but we didn't have anything on but lights at the time. Still, once we found it, and tripped the switch back, all was well. Nice laundry set-up and overall very comfy. Kevin was very responsive and good to work with. Note that the entry does have steps coming up from the street, as well as at the porch, so not a good location for someone with difficulty negotiating steps.

Owner's Response: I appreciate your review as it gives me a forum to discuss improvements slated for end of 2016. I'd like to thank everyone who has made this house such a hit and continue to return. That being said there is a need for a new electrical panel and that is slated for November. I'm adding a 2nd bathroom in November as there is need for it from feedback I've received. Although this is the first time I've heard any feedback on the mobility of the home I'm adding a railing to the front steps this month to assist it. I always thought it needed one. Finally, I'm going to have the house painted something fun but appropriate. Thanks for your feedback as I strive to create a fun, functional, and clean space for people to stay while visiting Denver and the Mountains. Kevin.

Very convenient location

  • 4 of 5

This house looks exactly like the pictures in the ad and was well-maintained on the inside. The outside needs a sprucing up (e.g. paint is chipping). The property is convenient to the highway, and has everything in it that you may need. The old saying "don't judge a book by its cover" applies here. Overall, I was satisfied with the house.

Easy access to highway

  • 5 of 5

The Rock House is in an excellent location in Denver-it allows for quick access to the highway and is located less than 1 minute from the exit. The house is older, but is well taken care of (the quirks of an older home are always the best). We were even able to check in earlier as the cleaning crew finished early. Everything was well stocked, even some items I would not have expected to see--yoga mats, vacuum cleaner, umbrella, washing machine detergent, etc. Although I did not need to speak with the owner, he was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants or activities. The backyard is large and secluded. The mattresses are on the firmer side, but comfortable. All members of our party were very happy with the stay.

Recently renovated January 2017 adding a master bathroom, upgraded main bathroom, and new kitchen bar.

Located in the Denver Berkeley/Highlands area named for the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater that is a short distance away, the many musicians who have stayed here, and its great vibe! Large private yard with two patios, front porch for lounging, high ceilings, spacious living room and kitchen, tons of light from many windows and skylights, quiet neighborhood, walking to restaurants/Pubs/shops, and easy access to the Mnts & Downtown. Everybody loves it!

The house sits perfectly between two of the best parks in Denver - Rocky Mountain Park and Berkeley Park. Jog, fish, walk, tennis, dog park, baseball, events, etc. All this within walking distance to the house. Downtown is a short 9 minute ride to Lower Downtown which boasts Coors Field home of the Rockies, Pepsi Center home of the Avalanche and Nuggets, convention center, theater district, Union Station, Financial District, and more. The home is bordered by the Highlands neighborhood (32nd and Lowell) and the Tennyson neighborhood (44th and Tennyson) which are great neighborhoods with many restaurants, shops, and pubs if you want a more neighborhood vibe vs downtown.
