About this property

East Grand Ave Fabulous Cottage

This small cottage is at the heart of it all. It is located on the main stretch of East Grand avenue with the 7 miles beach in the back of the cottage. A walk of 7 minutes right down the road will bring you to the famous OOB Palace Playland (New Englands ONLY beachfront amusement!). Why doing circles and circles with your car trying to find parking and then paying for parking when you can just walk down so nearby. The cottage also is located near 2 local convenience stores which features your basic groceries needs or your middle of the night craving for ice cream! A newly built deck for your family enjoyment . New stainless steel appliances ( fridge and stove) have been replaced.
You have everything your family need for comfortable vacationing. Min days of rentals is 2 days . The 1 day rental is not sufficient time for the cleaning crew to turn over. We pride in getting the cottage ready and in top shape. Thank you for your understanding.

Please note: please read the enclosed contract as a signed contract . Please take care of the cottage as you would do at home. An extremely dirty conditions to the premises may incur extra cleaning fees ($50-100). Thank you for your understanding.

Cozy and Great location

It was perfect for our family of four. Close and easy walk to the beach. The place felt cozy and homey. Everyone was comfortable there. We are looking forward to staying there next year.

July OOB Vacation

The property is perfectly located next to the Walnut Street beach path. The home was exactly what we needed with two little ones (ages 2 and 6)Found that Pirates Patio had the best pizza so it’s right next door!I would recommend this home and look forward to another visit in the future.

The place is nice and met all our needs. Owner was very responsive. We had an issue that was quickly taken care of. Surface-cleaned, could use a deep cleaning. Being directly on the main road it was a bit noisy with traffic, trains and nightlife until about 1am. Also the street and neighbor lights make the front room very bright making it harder to sleep. Room darkening shades would be beneficial. Quick 2 minute walk to the beach and close to the pier.Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and spotless.

It was around the corner from the beach and within walking distance to pier, etc. The house was very clean and well stocked with dishes, etc. I would stay there again.

This place is good for family with kids. A block from on the beach. Walking distance to amusement park. Restaurants nearby although we went to Portland for most meals.

Great Cottage!

We had a great week at the cottage. You cannot beat the location! The house was clean and just what we needed for a family of 4. Lana was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend this property. Easy walk to the pier and steps to the beach.

Cute cottage in a great location

Owner was extremely friendly and responsive. We walked everywhere due to the great location. It’s about a thirty second walk to the beach and seven minute walk to the old amusement park. Cute backyard that my kids loved playing in when we weren’t at the beach.

Short birthday getaway

The property was as listed and worked very well for our stay. The owner was extremely responsive! The property was close enough to the ‘action’ that we had a short walk, but far enough away that we didn’t hear ALL the guests at OOB . It is on the main road, so you can expect to hear cars and traffic, but it wasn’t overwhelming. If we plan on coming back, I would seek out this property again.

fabulous location

The property is in need of some updating & some safety items including missing outlet covers, light fixture repair and replacement - however, the location was simply amazing - we would rent again just to be so close to everything. Thank you for sharing your beach house with us.

Love the fabulous cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the fabulous cottage. Once we arrived, we didnt use our car because everything is near of the location by walk (2 min to the beach, 8 min to the pier). The cottage was clean and pretty. It’s small but do the job for four people. The host Lanah was perfect. Good communication, very polite. We loved our experience. Thanks again for everything.

overall the stay was good. close to the beach and pretty clean. We got there with no idea how to get in, untill we called vrbo to find out we missed an email to get the code to unlock the place. Not to bad. the place looks like iit could use some work to make it look better, but all in all a decent stay.

Good experience!

It was a good fun experience Lana was welcoming and she’s very responsive and she was kind enough to give us early check in when we asked her. I only took one star from the cleaninliness because the cleaning crew forgot to clean the trays we wanted to reheat our food in it but it was greasy , other than that good place and I’d recommend it :))

Not What You Think

We were terribly disappointed in this rental! The reviews and pictures on VRBO were good, but the property was in terrible shape! It was similar to the frat houses we visited in college. Peeling paint on the walls, broken and filthy blinds, dirty ceiling and room fans, no closets or dressers, burnt out light bulbs, no covers on some outlets, futons in living room that were covered in blankets inches off the floor, yard sale decor, and the hot surface light on stove stayed on. It was embarrassing for me because I chose and booked the place for us and our good friends who were with us celebrating a milestone birthday. This was in no way, shape, or form a “Fabulous Cottage” as advertised.
