Welcome to this beautifully appointed 3 bedroom Semi-Oceanfront beach cottage with additional den and sitting room and an ELEVATOR, just steps to the beach. Home has 5 decks including a 35 foot 4th level deck with great ocean views. This wonderful home is located on quaint and peaceful Ocean Front Avenue, the most desirable street in the North End section of Virginia Beach, an area known as the Gold Coast of Va. Beach and known for great strolling, joggjng. biking and, of course, beach-going.
The North End boasts the widest beaches in Virginia Beach. This area is unique because it is peaceful yet close enough for walking or biking to the famous Virginia Beach Boardwalk -- the center of free summer nightly family entertainment, year round festivals and events, restaurants and nightlife.

This cottage has a 4 stop ELEVATOR with windows. Elevator has barrier-free access from the driveway with views as you ride (does not go to roof deck); 3 gas fireplaces (winter only); a MASTER SUITE with luxurious handicapped accessible bathroom; 7 flat screen HD TVs w/DVD (3 w/theater surround sound); gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar. It is steps to a wide Atlantic Coast beach with a lifeguard a half block away making it a perfect summer vacation spot for families and a great getaway place for all seasons.
Beach access includes barrier free ADA compliant ramp.

Let your stress fade away with the warm glow of classic natural maple floors and cabinetry and relaxing beach furnishings and decor. Relax, nap, read, sun bathe on one of the 5 decks. Have your morning coffee watching the sunrise over the ocean from the 35 foot 4th floor deck or enjoy the peacefulness of the breathtaking sunsets over the trees of the distant State Park. Stay in and play games with the kids, watch a movie or pull the rugs back, turn up the music and teach the kids (or grandkids) how to Shag or “twist again like you did last summer.”

COUPLES can enjoy the PERSONAL PRIVACY OF TWO MASTER SUITES PLUS DEN SUITE, each unique and special, making this a perfect vacation home for 2 or 3 couples and children or a wonderful place for a romantic getaway:

*FIRST FLOOR DEN with queen bed and sitting area/theater with full fold out sofa, fireplace, large flat screen HD TV w/Theater Surround Sound and natural maple cabinetry. Adjacent to full bath.

Also on the first floor is a laundry room and a large Garage with extra refrigerator, utility sink, and half bath. Outside there is a deck with an enclosed hot & cold shower.

*SECOND FLOOR SITTING ROOM is cozy with twin size daybed and trundle, flat screen HD TV /DVD and private deck. Adjacent is a beautiful half bath with a dolphin faucet, translucent blue tile, and sparkling blue Silestone counter.

The 2nd floor has an open floor plan perfect for entertaining and family gatherings with a Living Room with a large flat screen TV w/Theater Surround Sound and gas fireplace and large deck; Dining area and gourmet Kitchen with breakfast bar flat screen HD TV/DVD/CD, stainless steel appliances, natural maple cabinetry, and sparkling blue Silestone counters.

*THIRD FLOOR MASTER SUITE has king bed, large windows, large flat screen HD TV w/Theater Surround Sound, gas fireplace, walk in closet, luxurious handicapped accessible bath with large bubble jet tub, “blue wave” granite and beautiful mosaic wave design tile.

ALSO ON THE THIRD FLOOR:

*BUNK ROOM has a single over double bed with safety rail ladder to top bunk, Flat screen TV w/DVD and is decorated in surfing theme. The kids love this room.

*NORTH BEDROOM SUITE has a king bed, vaulted wood tongue in groove ceiling, plantation shutters, large flat screen HD TV/DVD, private deck, and spiral stairs to 35 foot 4th level deck.

Adjacent is a full bath w/bubble jet tub, beautiful aqua glass wave tile and classic “penny round” tile floor.

The North End beach is wide, the surf is great and because of the sand bars we often have some of the best riding waves on the coast. If you don’t surf grab a Boogie Board or just body surf the waves. Build a sandcastle, walk the beach, throw a Frisbee, fly a kite, play volley ball or just relax A life guarded area is just half a block away.

Watch your child catch her first fish. Surf fish, pier fish or take a half day “head boat” (pay per person and everything supplied).

For entertainment go down to the famous Boardwalk a short distance away. Hop the VB Wave Trolley running on Atlantic Ave in the Boardwalk area. In summer see free concerts and entertainment every night, fire works 2 nights a week and street performers. From the spring through the fall there are special events and festivals at the Boardwalk almost every weekend. Even in winter you can ride horses on the beach, see the extraordinary Holiday Lights with a special marine theme, and ice skate at Neptune Park.

Property is simply outstanding!! Attention to detail by the owners, who are very responsive and accessible, is incredible!! We had an amazing time! The rental is beautiful and so spacious and comfortable with a huge kitchen. What I loved most was the easy access to the beach and umbrellas, towels, chairs, etc were all provided for us, so easy! The neighborhood is really nice and the beach is so clean and pleasant!

We had a wonderful stay here. The property surpassed our expectations. I've never stayed at a rental property that was so thoughtfully curated for our comfort and enjoyment. David and Sheila demonstrate remarkable hospitality with their property: kitchen fully stocked with many dishes, cookware, and appliances; tons of clean towels, toilet paper, paper towels. We had a wonderful stay. Very responsive and welcoming hosts met us for check in. Despite the many options to dine out, we made all of our meals in the home and there were ample cookware and utensils to facilitate meal preparation. The location and access to the beach was great. My family rented this gorgeous property for 5 weeks in Jan and Feb of 2011. The home includes every amenity imaginable: a chef’s kitchen, very private comfortable bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, an elevator, roof top deck with great views, one car garage (with a full size refrigerator/freezer and a half bath), plenty of additional parking, wired and wireless internet in every room, cable TV in every room, DVD’s, books, board games, beach chairs, and much more. The location is perfect as you are steps away from the beach, a short walk to the boardwalk, and close to conveniences and first landing state park. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe. The owner’s did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our stay – they are pleasure to rent from. We have enjoyed many vacation homes – this one tops our list.

Perfect location in a property with everything you need!

The owners have gone out of their way to ensure guests feel at home right away. Fantastic communication leading up to and throughout our stay. Beach carts, chairs, umbrellas, garage fridge, baby gates, sheets & towels, every kitchen item you could need, as well lots of labels on switches, appliances, and remotes. Everything combined to let us settle in immediately. The home’s layout is perfect. We had our group of four every night, and a total of eight a few nights (including some small children). Local friends and family dropped by during the days (steps from the beach!), and we enjoyed the rooftop deck stargazing and breeze. Short drives to Lynnhaven Inlet or Rudee Inlet. First Landing State Park is almost across the street. Great week made easy by perfect hosts! We hope to stay again.

We Love Our Stay!

It is unlike any of the VRBOs or other sites where we have stayed. I travel as part of my job to rent long-term furnished places, and this home has all the perks you need to access the beach area. My elderly household enjoyed the elevators that allowed us to access different levels of the well-organized home. It's hard for us to gather, but this home is the perfect place for us to catch up. Before our arrival, we saw that the forecast predicted rain, but there are other ways to utilize your time at this place. There is an organized list of DVDs and a wide variety of books to read. There is adequate parking for four cars, and I felt safe walking in the neighborhood. Another plus is that David & Sheila are very thoughtful about staying in touch with you and reaching out for any difficulties (which we found nothing of) during our stay.

The Perfect VA Beach Retreat!!

I came down for a conference and brought my family along to enjoy Virginia Beach and this beach house was the PERFECT choice! We absolutely loved the North End—it’s a quieter neighborhood and just steps from the beach. If we could have stayed longer, we definitely would have! The peaceful location was ideal for unwinding after busy days. We enjoyed the rooftop deck, which offered breathtaking views of both sunrises and sunsets. It quickly became our favorite spot to gather and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. The house itself was fantastic—immaculately clean and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The thoughtful touches made it feel like a true home away from home, and the indoor grill, multiple decks, AND the elevator added even more to our enjoyment. David and Sheila were exceptional hosts. Their communication was prompt, always ensuring our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their attention to detail truly stood out. Very convenient & comfortable with beautiful hosts

Our family (8 adults plus infant) stayed here to be close to a weekend wedding at the nearby Windham Hotel. The house was very accommodating for our party and was both spectacular as well as comfortable. There were so many extraordinary features: the elevator made move-in and move-out easier than we’ve ever had; the roof-top deck was relaxing and spectacular; the rooms were quiet, private and very comfortable; the kitchen had every imaginable appliance and the family/dining room/kitchen continuity made it easy for family to gather during food preparation and meals; the numerous works of art were an added visual joy and interest; the baby and children’s items made it much easier to include or monitor our 1-year old. We only were able to make one extended trip to the beach (due to weather) but there was an ample supply of beach chairs, towels, carts and umbrellas as well as a convenient outdoor shower. Parking was simple especially for this area of beach houses, condos and narrow streets. The only difficulty we encountered was operation of the numerous light switches, whose combination of off/on and dimming capacity challenged even some of the PhDs in our group. Even though the house was everything we wanted, the hosts were an even better part of the visit: Dave and Sheila were so friendly, accommodating, responsive and engaging that we felt more like invited guests than lodgers. We definitely plan to return here again when we can.

Beautiful Well Appointed Home

This home is well taken care of and extremely clean! It has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishes, glassware, baking supplies, cookware and gadgets. They provide more than enough towels/ beach towels. The garage is full of boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, 2 beach carts, coolers for the beach and loads of beach toys. The owners of this home are a pleasure to deal with! This was our second stay and we will be back!

Our family had an awesome time in Virginia Beach! The house was everything that the listing said it was and more! David and Sheila were excellent hosts, very accommodating and always available to answer questions. The house was exceptionally clean and was well stocked with everything we needed. Beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, beach carts, as well as beach towels, bath towels and all bed linens were provided. The kitchen was well stocked including kitchen linens, garbage bags, dish and dishwasher detergents. All these extras are a Hugh help when packing for vacation. The house is just a few feet away from the beach access… no busy road to cross.. an easy walk. I can’t say enough good things about our hosts and their attention to detail. You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing beach house in super location

We had a wonderful vacation at this lovely beach house! It was perfectly appointed, spotless and the location was just perfect. The home is beautiful - spacious, clean as a whistle and well furnished. The owners have literally thought of every last little detail that a renter could need! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc., the host provided beach chairs, umbrellas, boogey boards, and the bathrooms have plenty of clean towels, soap, etc. We all slept amazing on the comfy beds with super soft sheets! It is just a quick 1 minute walk to the beach and the little neighborhood was so cute - perfect for morning stroll and close enough to walk to a few restaurants. All of us had such a fun time! We can't wait to go back next year!

Extraordinary Home, Extraordinary Hosts

This home in Virginia Beach is steps away from the beautiful North End. It is just north of the more commercial area. Some days we walked, some days we drove, and some days took the trolley to go parasailing, visit the aquarium or play in the many beach actovities. The home is remarkable. All the rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. There ismore than enough places to stow your belongings. It is beautifully decorated and clean. The elevator was great for bringing in supplies and luggage. Our group was adults from 30 to 65 and children from 4 to 10. What was amazing is that the house is equipped with activities, toys games and dvds that suited everyone. The house also has everything you need for the beach - toys, carts, coolers and chairs. There was literally nothing we needed. Best of all are the hosts, who have thought of every question you might have, and have the answers literally exactly where you need them. These lovely people give you their cell number, and text a check in to be sure all is well. They could not be nicer or more accommodating. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay here. Wonderful for kids, adults and any combination.

All the kitchen supplies you could possibly need. Plenty of dishes/silverware for a large group and well stocked with cookware/bakeware and kitchen gadgets. Tons of items for the beach- Chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and kids toys. Gorgeous ocean views from 4th floor deck. Will definitely be returning!
