Ski directly from your front door to the ‘Rocky Mountain’ and ‘Colorado’ Superchairs for a quick ride up the mountain; then ski back in for lunch before finishing your day in our luxurious slope side hot tubs and sauna. Or take a day off and ride the BreckConnect Gondola into town where you’ll find charming shops, luxurious spas, and gourmet restaurants. Additionally, a free shuttle bus stop is within 100 yards of the building, with access to all 4 Breckenridge ski areas and connections to Vail, Copper Mountain, Keystone and A-Basin. A modern 40” LCD TV with cable and DVR lets you record any shows or games you don't want to miss while you're on the slopes, and the Play Station 3 with complementary Netflix (bring your own games) provides plenty of entertainment options for you and your kids as you relax and unwind. Adjoining the great room is a large balcony that has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains overlooking ‘Dukes Run’, and you can even see the ‘Freeway’ half-pipe through the bedroom windows. The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and dishwasher is a chef’s dream and will enable you to prepare delicious meals to be savored at the 8 person seating table. If you need some extra space, the building’s common area is right next door, providing you with a quiet and comfortable setting with which to catch up on work while you’re away. The building also features 2 slopeside hot tubs, a Finnish sauna, and an exercise room that will help you stay fit for your next day’s adventures.

The loft space has 4 additional single beds, providing you with a variety of sleeping arrangements to accommodate up to 12 guests. Each of the two bathrooms have deep soaking tubs with fully tiled showers, affording everyone with the ability to get ready quickly in the mornings or relax in privacy after a long day.

Although this may be the perfect winter rental, it’s also a great place to enjoy all year round. Being on the mountain affords you easy access to hiking, biking, horseback riding, 4 wheeling and fishing. The Peak 8 base also has a summer adventure space for kids, including a gold run coaster, alpine slide, rock climbing wall, zip-line, walkthrough maze and bungee jumping trampoline. About Alex

We live in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Flagstaff

Alex purchased this condo in 1991

Why Alex chose Breckenridge

We love to ski but got tired of the walk from the parking lot in Vail to the lifts

What makes this condo unique

Loved being able to get up in the morning and ski the fresh powder to the lifts. You can look out the window from bed to see snow conditions, lift lines and watch the slopes.

SkiWatch 422 Is Exactly As Advertised!

  • 5 of 5

My 15-year old son, his friend, and I stayed at SkiWatch 422 in April 2017 for a week during Spring break. The condo is absolutely as advertised, and it was perfect for the 3 of us.

THE GOOD:

- Located on Peak 8, 422 truly is a ski-in, ski-out property. The photos you see from the balcony are spot-on

- Price was great, especially as we were there a week before the slopes closed

- The boys loved the loft, and the black-out mechanical blinds were essential because you do get the sunrise in the window each morning

- Grill on the patio. Perfect

- Beds were quite comfortable

- AMR Ski Rental, N. Park Ave. Alex recommended them. Use them.

- Kitchen is well-stocked with cooking utensils and many cooking staples as well

- Slope-side lockers are very convenient. Take elevator to 2nd floor (condo is on the 4th floor), walk down a hallway, arrive at lockers. Take skis outside, glide on down to the Rocky Mountain or Colorado SuperChair lifts for blue and black runs, or to the 5 Chair lift for some green runs. (The lockers are not heated, so bring your boots up to the condo overnight.)

- Location again. Great starting point to get to all the other peaks

- Sauna and hot tubs were a great way to relax after skiing

- Being on the 4th floor, you don't hear anyone walking around above you

THE BAD (there is no bad, just a few head's ups):

- Parking can be tight if you've got a big vehicle. We had an Infiniti QX80 and it was tricky getting in and out of the garage

- Having made the previous point, a vehicle is still highly desirable. The gondola, which you can catch at the base of Peak 8 and takes your into town, stops running after about 6pm. Breck does have "Free Ride Breckenridge", a free shuttle service, but it's still a little hike to get to the bus top on Ski Hill Road

- While the condo is nicely maintained, this is not new construction. If you're looking for solid and comfortable, this is it. If you want shiny and new, you may want to look elsewhere

- For 3 of us SkiWatch 422 felt palatial. I think you could fit 6-8 comfortably. 12 would be a tight fit

- Again, these are not "Bad" things; nothing in the previous points would keep us from coming back, just some nuggets I hope will help others

THE UGLY:

- There is no ugly. Just look at the photos! (Had to stay with the Sergio Leone theme...)

FINAL THOUGHT:

This is a superb condo! Alex answered questions quickly and was easy to work with. We had a spectacular Spring break, and I look forward to our next stay.

Breckenridge 2017

  • 5 of 5

Condo was very nice and well equipped! However the corners of the bed frames were killers on the knees.

We appreciated the fact that SkiWatch was a non smoking facility but someone on a floor below us smoked cigarettes and pot each evening and the smoke came right up and in our windows! Very annoying!

Comfortable in Breckenridge

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful condo in the middle of nature and within a close distance of downtown Breckenridge. We were a party of six and enjoyed our one-week long stay a lot. The queen size beds are quite comfortable, the jacuzzi is wonderful and the barbecue on the balcony is just exquisite. In the convenience of such a place the beautiful Breckenridge and surroundings were much more welcoming for us. Dont forget to visit Fiesta Jalisco for the happy hour margarita pitchers...

Another Amazing Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is the third time in the past 2 years that I've rented this condo. The location is impossible to beat at Breck, you are literally above the Rocky Mountain Superchair lift. Grab your lift tickets online and you can just hop immediately on the lifts. You will buy yourself an additional 2+ hours everyday of potential skiing by not having to drive. Awesome to break for lunch at the same place your'e staying too.

Don't forget about the slopeside hot tubs either....so clutch after a long day of riding. We put 10 in this unit for a bachelor party and had plenty of space to spread out. INCREDIBLE TIME.

Beautiful, well kept, comfortable condo for a great vacation

  • 5 of 5

We are sadly getting ready to leave this property after a week here. We stayed here with our 4 children, ranging in age from 2-13. There were enough beds and options to make sure everyone was comfortable. The ski lockers and ski in ski out option is wonderful. The ski school and daycare was right at the bottom of the hill, so we could just ski down with our kids and head to the slopes.

The condo was well stocked with all the necessities and Alex was great to deal with. If you are crazy enough to travel with a toddler, you may want to bring a few plastic dishes/cups. We also missed having a broom and dustpan, again, with little kids, there are always crumbs falling to the floor. No big deal, we had a wonderful stay, just figured I would mention that. Thanks for a great week!!!!

Skiwatch is located 50 meters above the lifts on Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado. You would have to ski down to reach one ski hill place. You can walk down to catch the Breck Connect Gondola into town.

Peak 8 has no ski resort parking but Skiwatch guests get two parking passes per unit.

Breckenridge is an old silver mining town with a very strict zoning code. All the buildings in town maintain the same look as they did 130 years ago. There are no shopping malls but lots of shops and restaurants, including many eclectic shops and boutiques and locally owned restaurants.
