We grew up in Southern California got Married and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii. We built a 34' Catamaran we chartered through the Islands raising our 1 and 3 year old. When they were old enough for school we got a slip for the boat at Honokahou small boat harbor and built a house up the Mountain in Holualoa where we got into building homes. Moved back to the Mainland in 1986. Our first trip was down here for a surfing trip and we fell in love with it. We built this house and did all the furniture and cabinets in our shop downstairs. We love the Baja Lifestyle. We know you will love it too.
Johnny and Vikki Cuccia purchased this house in 1989
Fantastic view. A short walk to the beach and a nice breeze that comes up the hill
Great sunrises. Nice community. It is just a unique setting
Vicki and Johnny greeted us with a bottle of champagne, guided us to the best fish market in town and gave us valuable restaurant tips. And to top it off a wonderful dinner. Thank you for being such a gracious host.
The unit was immaculately clean and looked exactly like the photos. The view from the porch was outstanding. When we had a problem with an appliance, Johnny got a service man in that day to make a repair.
The weather was in the 70s or low 80s during the day and the sun was out every day. Getting back to Northern California where it was cool and raining. was not fun.
The beach was a good walk away down a rather steep road and then through a tunnel under the highway. Being seniors we drove which was fine. You can hear the road noise from the highway during the day but it was quite during the night.
Driving was "interesting" to say the least in Cabo. There are many speed bumps and a driver MIST slow down! The "ALTA" (stop) signs at some of the roundabouts were treated merely as suggestions. But we really had no problems and saw no accidents. But be alert.
We just got back from our trip to San Jose, relaxed, tanned, well fed and where we stayed had a lot to do with that. Our hosts, Johnny and Vikki, were delightful and we are very grateful we had the opportunity to experience their hospitality. The casita was new, clean, well appointed, had a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez. Our hosts were helpful to us finding the best local amenities, shopping, dinning and beaches. Johnny led us to Todos Santos after we got lost, he put in a pool heater while we were there, cooked us a wonderful "peasant" Italian dinner and along with his wife Vikki, hosted a wonderful dinner party. We were given privacy to enjoy our vacation, with the knowledge if we needed anything our hosts were there and happy to help. We loved this central location we were able to explore the area easily. Very close to the airport and new toll highway. We were able to visit 8 different gorgeous beaches in 11 days, what could be better than that.
We would recommend this vacation rental especially if you want to get away from the resorts.

Easy drive from the airport to Casa Terraza Azul. Located on top of a hill overlooking lines of surf and beautiful sunrises. The owners built a unique house with 2 separate rentals and live on the property. They gave us a very warm welcome, answered our questions...very helpful because they have lived there a long time. Parking is covered and close to apartment. Landscaping is colorful and well maintained. The pool was clean and just steps from the either door. The inside was beautifully decorated, super clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay (7 days). There was even a washer / dryer in the apt. We got the chance to get away-explore and come back to a beautiful ocean view, Baja breezes, a dip in the pool, a sip of an icy blender drink, and dinner on the BBQ.
When you first walk in you are mesmerized by the gorgeous view of the ocean! We could sit for hours on the patio looking out over the water. We watched the sunrises and a beautiful full moon rise out of the Sea of Cortez illuminating the ocean.
These apartments were absolutely perfect - clean, with well equipped kitchens, and were conveniently located across the street from the beach, convenient shopping and sight seeing. The building had secured parking spaces which was a bonus. Another plus……The owners are on site are very friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed how close the condo is to San Jose del. What a wonderful little town! A great place to stay and play. Loved it and can't wait to return next year. We only wished we could have stayed longer.
Muchas gracias John & Vikki!!! ... Bob & Karen
From the airport go left on to the toll road "CUOTA". It will take you to San Jose Del Cabo. When you get to San Jose Del Cabo you will merge with Hwy 1. You will see a supermarket called "La Comer" across the highway. Go right about 1.1miles or 1.7 kilometers. On the right you will see a large Terra-cotta wall with The name "Terrazas De Costa Azul" in purple letters. It has Purple globes at it's base and is at KM. 29. Go right up the hill. When you get to the Glorieta go left on Marea Alta. The road will change from Concrete to dirt. When you get on the dirt road, look up to your left and you will see a big cream colored house, that is ours. Follow the road to the downstairs garage and pull in. We are right up stairs.
