The whole experience was highly disappointing for the cost of the stay. I should have trusted my gut over the glowing reviews. The photos are accurate in that the cabin is dated and in need of maintenance and updates throughout. It was tidy, organized, and generally uncluttered. However, it didnât feel clean: dirt on the floors we could see and feel, there were cobwebs, dust, and visible water stains, and the porch and yard were unkempt.The furnishings, beds and bedding, lighting, and other fixtures are very old and should be replaced. The toilet felt like it might break, and the door lock didnât feel fully secure. Guests are expected to take their trash with them, which is highly inconvenient for anyone traveling a long distance or arriving by air.The brook was pleasant, but overall, this property did not provide an experience that matched its cost. Significant improvements are needed before it could be considered a good value. I wouldnât recommend this property until meaningful updates and maintenance are completed.
