About Cyndie Cornelius
I have been selling Smoky Mountain Real Estate since 2007 and managing Smoky Mountain Rental Properties since 2014. As the Owner and Principal Broker of a Townsend based Real Estate Firm, I have been in and out of hundreds of rental cabins. Feeling strongly that people want to be treated to a clean and well stocked cabin in a private surrounding, my husband and I decided to see if our theory was correct. We purchased our first cabin in 2014 and put it in service. The demand was overwhelming, and we soon purchased our second and third. The owners of Laurel Mist purchased this cabin from us and we agreed to manage the rental of this cabin as well, since it has the same private setting and warm interior decor that our guests enjoy. We felt Laurel Mist was a perfect match for our clients.

Why Cyndie Cornelius chose Townsend
The atmosphere and location of this cabin provide the perfect getaway for the owners. Nestled into the trees and well off the roadway, the privacy abounds. Townsend is a small town that is a gateway community to the National Park. To visit the area opens up the entire park to visitors. This cabin has a warm interior with a huge main living space and stacked stone fireplace. The french doors that lead to the screened in back porch add a bright and inviting outdoor living area to the already spacious interior. It was for the owners, a perfect choice to enjoy themselves, and to share with other guests to the area. With strong ties to UT, this home away from home was a no brainer!

Great cabin very clean and quite.
We loved the loacation. Very peaceful and beautiful area. Cabin was clean and we'll equipped.
Best vacation we've spent in the Smokies
We had a great time at Laurel Mist. Cabin was clean and well supplied for our needs. Biggest surprise was where it was located in the Laurel Valley Resort. We had planned to vacation in the Smokies and spend most of our time in the park in Cades Cove; what we found was the resort was even better adapt for our walks than the park would have been. A walk around the resort can be as little as 4-5 miles for a complete circuit (about 2-hours), or you can add some of the high roads and stretch it to closer to 10 miles (about a 4 hour walk). We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin, the resort, and the town. We returned home and to work more recharged from this vacation than any in the past. One last word, Cyndie was very accommodating and very responsive. We will definitely return to her properties in the future.
A Home during transition
My Son, who grew up here, along with his wife and daughter of 3, were transitioning from NY to TX and needed a place to stay while visiting home here in the Smokies. Their stay at Laurel Mist turned at least a week of their move into a vacation retreat and gave them a respite from the stress of moving. From the first moment they walked through the door, the cabin was more like a home than a rental. And the logistical process of getting the cabin, from first seeing it online till it was time to leave, was seamlessly easy and hiccup-free. Overall a wonderful and memorable experience that turned a time of transition into one of the most memorable and happy weeks ever. Laurel Mist will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we hope to return for many reunions in days to come.
This is the reason we do what we do. Thank you so much for this wonderful, heartfelt, review.

Clean & Cozy
Second time booking with Cyndie, just a different cabin and had the same experience both times. The cabins are the cleanest we have stayed in, in the Townsend area and are very convenient to many different places that are desirable for visiting. They are warm, inviting, stocked with anything and everything you would need, except your own food. They are nicely decorated and cozy. Booking with Cyndie is thorough and her response time is excellent!
Great location ....Quaint and relaxing
This is our second stay with one of the properties managed by Cyndie and as always, she is a fantastic hostess! This cabin offers quite a bit of space to spread out! We decided to stay for an extended vacation to enjoy Christmas near the Smoky Mountains and do our hikes and of course, eat out! We cooked the Christmas meal in the cabin and had everything we needed for our feast. We had to leave early (sniff sniff) because the Arctic Blast was bringing historical lows to our home state and we had to get back to deal with that, but wish we could have stayed longer!!
The cabin was well appointed, clean and just what we needed for a relaxing long weekend.
