About Tammy

Hi, we moved to New Smyrna Beach in late 2013 and remodeled our home from 2013-2016. Now, let us share it with you! I know you'll love it as we do!

Tammy purchased this house in 2013

Why Tammy chose New Smyrna Beach

New Smyrna Beaches were voted BEST BEACH in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 by readers of Orlando Sentinel.

This is a private home right on the beach and is not a condo where you'd have people above, below, and beside you.

We newly remodeled the home.

Rate details: If you only need upstairs (3 bed 2 bath), I will lower the cleaning fees by $50 plus tax. If you pay via echeck, I will lower the rate by 2%.

Downstairs and upstairs are separate, so this gives more privacy for upstairs and down.

What makes this house unique

Beautiful private home right on the ocean. This is not a townhouse or a condo. Recently remodeled.

We have totally remodeled the inside including:

1) Whole House: imported Italian porcelain tile floors, two-zone a/c, heating, 2 decks, 4 sliding glass doors, front door, entire house inside and out painted, all new double-hung windows, new curtains and window treatments.

2) Kitchen: all new stainless steel appliances, hickory cabinets, granite counter tops, breakfast peninsula. Stocked with electric skillet, blender, mixer, coffee maker, toaster, anodized aluminum large skillet, pot set, many dishes, casserole dishes, plates, glasses, wine glasses, Chicago Cutlery knife set, silverware, etc. I provide dish detergent, automatic dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, etc.

3) Baths: new imported Italian porcelain tile showers, tub/shower, granite topped vanities

4) Bedrooms: all new mattresses, beds, most ceiling fans are new

5) Downstairs: This area is separate from upstairs which gives more privacy and has new imported Italian porcelain floor, Italian porcelain double shower, new windows and doors, and freshly painted.

6) All new decks including a deck outside the bedrooms with a view of Indian River, a new deck on the beach side, and another new, expanded ocean deck with a covered gazebo (not in photos yet).

It was an amazing location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family recently had a family reunion here and thoroughly enjoyed it! The location is incredible, just steps away from the Cape Canaveral National Seashore. Each night we would walk the beach and see new turtle nests from the night before. On our last night, I ventured down the beach and actually watched a loggerhead turtle build her nest and lay her eggs! It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Note if you have small children, the only entrance to the downstairs portion of the house is by going outside. Great space down there, but best for older children or adults.

Also, with nature comes nature's beasts. The bugs are a awful! Bring lots of bug spray!

But the home delivered on all that was promised and the location can't be beat! I highly recommend Tammy's home in paradise!

Great beach house for a crowd.

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our week here. Tammy was very accommodating with our request in advance of our stay. The location was great and the house was large enough for all of us to spread out. We were glad that recent updates were just enough to freshen the house but it still had a beach feel. A great place to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our family.

BEST BEACH, PRIVATE, GREAT COMMUNICATION WITH OWNER

  • 4 of 5

Our family and friends had a great time staying at the beach for a week this summer. In my opinion this section of beach is the best. Its very private and beautiful, the river is across the street so you can fish, paddle board or just watch the manatees. The only disappointment we had was that we were not aware that the stairs to the bottom floor was located outside. I wished that the bottom of the side stairs were a paved floor so that you didn't have walk in the grass every time and have dirty feet going into the house. The owner was great we had an issue with the door and it was resolved in a timely manner. The only recommendation I would have for the owners is the paver area for the bottom section of the house and you need more hooks. With eleven people there was no where to hang bathing suits, wet towels, beach hats and so on. But all in all we loved it and love New Smyrna Beach and all the wonderful places to eat.

Owner's Response: Hi Shannon, I'm so glad that you and your family had such a great time! That's great! I agree that the Bethune Beach area of New Smyrna Beach is absolutely the best beach. It's a place for quiet, fun, and getting back to nature. Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad that you were able to see the manatees and wildlife and that I was able to help you with your questions! Yes, downstairs and upstairs are separate. I really enjoy that it's separate. That gives more privacy and quiet between the floors. I have that on the website and in my quote before people book. I'll make sure that I have it for people who book without a quote too. Many people have extended families and appreciate the extra privacy. I know I do. I also love grass. I think there isn't enough grass and nature in the world. I live in an environmentally sensitive area where we try to limit impervious surfaces. There is a sidewalk leading to the steps and a cement area outside of the downstairs door. I have a towel rack built within the shower upstairs for wet bathing suits and towels. I have other places to hang suits, but will look at adding other options. That's a great idea! Thanks! Have a great rest of your summer! You and your lovely family are welcome back any time! Tammy

Fun in the Sun!

  • 5 of 5

My family had a super vacation at Tammy's home the week of July 4th. There was plenty of room. The whole family could fit on the enormous couch-though we didn't spend much time there. We spent almost all of our time down on the sand or on the decks. The beach location was awesome- I only left to go to the grocery store. The house had plenty of supplies, dishes, towels, and beach gear - chairs, towels, boogie boards, skim boards, toys etc.). The kids enjoyed the new boogie boards that arrived while we were there! It was truly a treat to be able to watch the sun rise over the sea and the dolphins swim by each morning. Tammy was wonderful and readily available for questions. I would love to go back one day!

Well kept, plenty of room. We loved the beach, weather, house and location. Fishing was fantastic.

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great. We have been renting a beach home for the past 25 yrs, this was the 1st home we stayed in that didn't have plumbing, electric or A.C. repairs during our stay. National park is nearby and worth a visit. The tiny bugs are only an issue on the deck early am or late pm. No bug problems on the beach. Wrap around couch was so comfortable. The little nook and double head shower are on our wishlist for our home now. The electric locks were great, no need to keep up with keys. One of the best places we have been at in 25 years. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your home! Beautiful home, fantastic decks, wonderful beach and view.❤
