Space 1,200 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin with back porch overlooking Lassen National Forest

Step back into time when life was slower at this quaint cabin located in the shadow of Mount Lassen. Enjoy the short 1/4 mile walk to view Lake Almanor, one of Northern California's true gems. On your return from the lake stop by Carol's Cafe for a slice of true Americana fare. Pick up one of Carol's famous pies to enjoy while relaxing on the front porch as you rock your cares away. In the evening sip a cold beverage on the large back porch while enjoying Lassen National Forest and the wildlife that abounds there.

Why Claire chose Lake Almanor

This property is near and dear to our hearts. Lake Almanor has been a mainstay in my family for 40+ years. When my husband and I had the chance to purchase a lot in the historic development of Prattville we were ecstatic. In 2001 we purchased the lot and a year later my husband built us our "little cabin in the woods". We have made many memories with family and friends over the years here and are looking to make many more in years to come. Our wish is for others to have the same opportunity by staying here. Enjoy!

What makes this cabin unique

Large off street parking. Our cabin backs up to forest thus offering a great view of nature and provides some privacy.

Thanks again,

Perfect family vacation. Little cabin in the woods is super clean and in a great location for boating, hiking, and biking. Cabin is stocked with all the little extras. You can tell that Claire and family care about their renters. Thank you for letting us stay! Definitely be back again! Prattville neighbors are the best!

I've been coming to the area since 1980. Our family cabin was already being used and so we were needing to rent this trip. The cabin is absolutely lovely. The beds were all very comfortable and had nice quality linens as well. This will forever be our first choice when it comes to renting in Pratville again. The owners really do make you feel like a prized guest. We particularly enjoyed the patriotic decor touches on the property.

Relaxing cabin in the woods!

  • 4 of 5

We had lots of boat issues and stayed in the cabin more of our days than we planned! This cabin is very relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the back and watching deer walk 20 ft from us! The shade from the trees was welcoming during the hottest times of the day! The neighbors we met were friendly and helpful with the boat issues we had. The internet was definitely spotty which was not helpful while needing to search troubleshooting for the boats but it was nice that the younger people in our group were not able to ignore us the whole trip as they talked online to their friends! The kitchen was well stocked for what we brought to cook. The location is perfect for using the free launch or just taking a nice walk to the beach to watch the sunset. Definitely recommend the cabin!

This was the perfect cabin for my family vacation. The cabin had everything we needed.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is well maintained and very clean. It's easy to see that the family who owns it loves their cabin. I felt like a well taken care of guest. The cabin was in the perfect location. We had easy access to the lake for swimming and fishing. We were only a short drive to Chester and Lassen Volcanic National Park. I hope my family gets another opportunity to stay here.

The cabin was neat, clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the items to cook some fantastic meals. The weather for us was great so took advantage of both the front and back porches. Will seriously consider staying here again in the future. Thanks for everything.
