Cozy Vacation Getaway and Hunter's Paradise

Tucked in a secluded cove, our log cabin in Morgan County has privacy with a view that few others can surpass. One mile North of Chesterhill, OH, close to Athens and McConnelsville. Luxury accommodations in a peaceful setting, with 32 acres to roam. Hiking, bird watching, relaxation and fresh country air are just a few of the benefits. Private bedroom and loft bedroom, both with queen beds. Get away from the busyness and listen to the quiet, absorb the peace. Our Cottage is on the same property, but there is plenty of space for you to enjoy your privacy.

You will love Antler Ridge Cabin for a romantic weekend or a week of vacation with your family. All the amenities of home in a quiet peaceful setting will help relieve stress and give you a new appreciation for the Creator and the created.
Free wifi. Smart TV. Verizon cell service is decent. DVD player.
The kitchen is fully furnished with stove, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, crockpot, pots and pans, dishes, cups, flatware, utensils, etc. Iron and small ironing board.
Bed linens, blankets and towels provided.
Pet friendly, $50 per stay

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Wash dishes you used. Place trash in barrel on porch or take it to the box by the road.
Turn Thermostat to 64 or in summer turn the AC to 78 degrees
Make sure propane is turned off on the grill and clean the grate if you used it.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Before you leave, please wash dirty dishes and place them in cupboards. All trash and leave it in the trash can outside. Make sure the lid is locked.
Turn the thermostat to 62 degrees. AC to 76 in summer. We would be delighted if you would start a load of laundry, to speed up our cleaning time.

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a great place to play games, read and relax. After our dog got used to the deer mounted on the wall, the cabin worked well for him too. The only negatives were having to drive 15-20mins through winding roads to get to most places and having to hand wash dishes.

Cabin is cozy and warm. Decor is comfortable and attractive. Plenty of pots, pans, and utensils if you cook. The area is quiet and people are friendly in Chesterhill. There is lots of land to walk a dog. The house is always immaculate. We love the Franklin stove in the winter. It is almost like having a fireplace without the mess.

We love the outdoors and traveling and have always dreamed of having a log cabin in the woods. Lee loves to hunt and Celesta loves gardening and flowers.

Why they chose this property

The rolling hills of Morgan County are so beautiful and we found this property that has a mixture of woods and pasture. It is away from so much of the commercialized vacation areas, and yet not too far to still enjoy some of the attractions that go with having a good time. The locals are friendly and we have enjoyed getting to know the neighbors and their cultures and life perspectives.

What makes this property unique

We love to stay at the cabin just to get away from the daily grind and then in hunting season, there are lots of deer to chase!
We are pet friendly. Please let us know you are bringing pets. There is a $40 charge per pet for the duration of the stay.
