It was a beautiful, well appointed cottage for two people. It was very close to downtown Carmel, but located in a quiet secluded neighborhood. We loved our three days there.

Great spot for visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea. Very quiet and peaceful but close to all the activities. We enjoyed the outdoor seating areas and indoor fireplaces. Super helpful host who met us and showed us how everything worked, as well as, recommendations for the area. we would definitely stay there again when coming back to Monterey area.

Truly a Zen-like stay at this beautiful cottage, lovingly appointed with high end furnishings and appliances. Kitchen was fully stocked so we could cook and enjoy the home. Every nook and cranny of the gorgeous landscape was filled with flowers, serene chimes and water features. The host gave helpful and specific guidance about the home and the activities, deli, restaurants for our enjoyment.

We had a great few days at Atherton Cottage. It was cozy and well-appointed, and we enjoyed walking the nearby trails over to downtown Carmel, though also just staying in for a cup of coffee or a take-out dinner. Bill was a helpful and gracious host -- thank you!

We loved this cozy hideaway as a base to explore Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula. Atherton Cottage is well appointed, with lovely outdoor nooks and panoramic views. Our host Bill was welcoming and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
