The house has several areas (stairs, lofts, and balconies) which could be dangerous for small children and we encourage parents to keep an eye on them at all times.
The house has surveillance cameras monitoring the common areas. There is 1 camera in the main downstairs living room, 1 in the fountain/patio areas, 1 in the upstairs/outside hallways, 1 in the kitchen, 1 in the service quarters hallway, and 1 in the garage. These do not record sound and have been used by the owners to monitor the house while away. There are no cameras in any of the bedrooms or bathrooms.
A little known fact.... Gonzalo Escudero, one of Ecuador's most famous poets, grew up in this house. His poetry is beautiful, you can find some of his literature in the bookshelves in the main sitting room.
