Great rustic cabin right by the lake. It has all the basic things you may need while out on the lake. We really enjoyed the location, lake view/access, great small town area making it perfect for a weekend getaway.

This place was beautiful, I seen some reviews saying he needed to update certain areas of the property. I can say during our stay he was busy at work making updates to the empty cabins. He was a great friendly gentleman. Highly recommend, and will be booking again in the future

Unpretentious cabin with all the basic amenities for a relaxed time on the lake. Host lives on site and responds to any reasonable request at a moment’s notice. Looking forward to coming back here in the future.

The cabin was clean and tidy. The host was very attentive and helpful. The lake was right out the door and very beautiful. The bathroom was small and in need of a facelift.

Richie is a great host. We came very late at 12 in the midnight and he stayed till then to receive us. There were extra pillows and throws. Beds were clean. Bathroom needs an upgrade and a lock in the door. Everything else was fine, it was a safe and quiet place.

Fantastic spot right on the lake. Quiet and beautiful view. Just exactly as characterized but better as far as comfort and thoughtful touches that made for a great cabin camping experience.

Host greeted us right as we arrived and got us settled in nicely. The cabins are rustic but well maintained and clean. Every cabin has a fantastic view of the lake with nice screened in porch. We only stayed one night but this would be great for a week.

Peaceful lake

Cabins need some work(built in the 20s) but overall great little cabins! Lake is beautiful and owner is great! Beds nice Plan on another stay there!

The cabin was as advertised. It was rustic and had basic accommodations. We ventured to iconic Leggs Inn for dinner, a 20 minute drive, which we enjoyed very much. Bed was ok. Great value compared to nearby hotels in Mackinaw City & St. Ignace. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a no frills and clean place to sleep.

Born and raised in Northern Michigan, I’ve worked with the special needs community for over 30 years. By recently purchasing a little 7 cabin lakefront resort, I was able to transition my career to incorporate my love for camping, outdoor activity, and local history in a way I can share with others. I offer vacation rentals of vintage rustic lakeside cabins that were established in 1929. I welcome guests who love the camping experience while venturing to the Mackinac area historic sites, adventurers who come to enjoy outdoor activities, or those who are simply here to relax and enjoy the area’s natural beauty.

I fell in love with this property because it encompasses the style of vintage cabins from days gone by, back when times were simpler. The cabins offer the nostalgic feel of the camping experience I remember enjoying as a child.

Named after a type of pine tree found in the Northeastern United States and Canada, this cabin is similarly named to it's sister cabin. With 2 bedrooms and 449 sq ft, it's a wonderfully snug size for a small group of friends.
