Northern Nights

Northern Nights is a quaint and classic "up north" two bedroom, one bath cottage with a view of all sports Paradise Lake! Paradise Lake is known for excellent fishing all year long. We are located just minutes from the Mackinac Bridge, Cecil Bay, Wilderness State Park, Headlands International Dark Sky Park, and the ferry docks to Mackinac Island. US 31 Snowmobile trails are right nearby. In the summer you are a few minutes from gorgeous beaches on Lake Huron or Lake Michigan! Golf and wineries are just a short drive. It's the perfect location for enjoying beautiful Northern Michigan.

It was a great location, perfect for everything we wanted to do. Well stocked, TV available, Clean. We didn't see any public places to go by the lake. The perfect time of year to visit the colors were amazing. We will book your place again. Thank you very much! We will recommend your cabin to anyone else we know that is going to that area.

It was a cute place; outdated, but expected that as the photos showed. The issue was there were ants and earwigs in the house. We notified the owner and she said thank you for letting her know. We didn’t stay our second night because of it, so we’re disappointed to cut our trip short.

We enjoyed our stay here. I always give honest reviews and don't fluff. So here goes......We laughed in this little house, played games and had a great time. The house is only about 10 minutes to Mackinaw City. The communication was great, check-in was awesome, and it was clean. The drawbacks---the front room has a very strong mildew smell. It says it sleeps 6 but we cannot imagine more than 3 people being comfortable. It is very small. The tiny bathroom does not have a plug in it that we could find. If you have a small group and would like to save money---snag it! It is a sweet little place set back in time. It is almost like a fish camp house. We would stay here again.

Cute and quiet little cabin. The covered porch was the best place for morning coffee! I would recommend this to anyone! 10/15 mins from the Mackinaw Bridge, made it a great spot for our up north adventure!

Charming, classic cottage with views of the lake. It was very comfortable and clean, and we were provided all we needed for our stay.

Super cute and clean cottage. Plenty of linens and cookware available, and quick communication from owner. My girls loved games available. Neighborhood was quiet and family friendly. Local general stores nearby for anything you may have forgotten. Thank you for everything!

It was basic. Master was just a full size bed but husband and I split up and slept in 2 bedrooms. Bath has no electric to plug in a hair dryer but can be done in bedroom. This place appears to just get a "surface" cleaning after each guest which bothers me because you pay for a cleaning fee. Much dust on lamps. Uncomforable sitting in living room as the air conditioner blows right on you while sitting there. It fulfilled our needs but it is basic, so beware. No shampoo or hair dryer (although to be fair, they were no listed in the amenities). We have stayed in many VRBO's and this one was the most over priced for what you are getting.

Great stay!

Very clean little house for a short trip! Master double bed was very comfortable. Harbor Lights Grille was the best place to eat and super close by. Clyde’s takeout pizza amazing.

Nice location

We stayed 2 nights on a multi-state trip and the location was great. You can enjoy Paradise Lake, you can use it as a base to enjoy Mackinac Island and the Great Lakes, or both. We had a campfire one night and had a great stay. Loved being able to wash our clothes before heading to the next location!

Cozy, clean and conveniently located cottage

Lovely cottage close to Paradise Lake. Great location to serve as a base for activities in the area, including Mackinac City, Mackinac Island, Headlands Dark Sky Park and Wilderness State Park. Also close to a good restaurant, Harbor Light Grill. Great shower and a solid supply of hot water. Mattress on double bed was very comfortable. Washer and dryer were a huge bonus after an unexpected tumble in a lake. Be prepared to stream content on the TV, as the TV is only available for streaming or mirroring. Also, bring a book light if you want to read after dark, as there are no floor or reading lights.

Great place to stay

It was a very clean property ... less busy area. Easy to get to Mackinaw island and other places. Owner was easy to get a hold of and the place was very cute.

Cozy Cottage

Excellent accommodations for our weekend get away! Three adults and a 4 year-old were in our group and it fit us perfectly. We arrived on Friday to find a clean, welcoming home. We prepared all meals here and the cottage was supplied with enough pots and pans to prepare our basic meals, plus plenty of plates, cups, utensils. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom wasstocked with plenty of towels, and plenty of TP, PT, and dish soap. Not to mention laundry on site with detergent provided. We spent Saturday on Mackinac Island. The ferry was a very short drive from Northern Nights. Very convenient! The fire ring out front was perfect for evening S’mores. We were able to purchase firewood at Chubbs. The General Store just a bit further than Chubbs also offered an array of convenience items as well as fresh meats. Great customer service at both as well! Our host was quick to respond to messages when we had a couple questions. Overall, a well appointed small cottage close to many activities.

Annual get away

This little cabin worked perfect for a place for my mom and I to stay with my 3 kids for our annual summer getaway. It was a short drive to Mackinac. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed.
