Great apartment in beautiful location. Being over the bar was fine for us, not to loud when we were there. The stairs are a bit steep for us older folks, but once inside it was fun to people watch and watch the boats and seaplanes come and go. Apartment was clean and nicely decorated. Owner quick to respond when we had a question. Overall a winner!!

Location! Location!! Location!!!

Perfect location in the downtown Tavares area. Walking distance to everywhere. The place is spacious and well decorated. Will be my first call when making another stay in the area. It’s directly over a bar and that was a plus for us.

Great Weekend Get Away

This is a great place if you are looking for a beach getaway. Everything was perfect. The location is above a bar and if you want quiet this is not for you, but the location is an 11 out of 10- The manager is awesome- the place is spectacular, and we saw an alligator! This is the place

Weekend visitor.

Great Location on top of the waterfront Kalua Beach Bar. If you want to be in the middle of the fun this is the place. If your looking for a quiet weekend getaway, you may want to wait for the off season.

Great place!

Was awesome location for what we wanted. Bar noise was done by midnight. Cleaning crew left a lot undone though. Very comfortable enjoyed the balcony porch.

Great accommodations. Hostess was very welcoming and responsive to inquiries. Room itself and view were exactly what we expected - if not more. We weren't bothered by being above the bar. Yes you can hear the music but thats why we stayed there! We will definitely be staying again.

Well we came for our 28th anniversary. It was amazing great restaurants in walking distance, boats on the lake all kinds and sea planes landing plus volleyball at night plusthebar played great music and was done by 10. Thank youkinds and sea planes

Bad place

Never mentioned that it was above a bar that did not close till midnight. Would never recommend this to anyone . VRBO needs a better way to make sure these places are good to stay at.

ADULTS SWEET RETREAT

WOW! This is a little slice of heaven. Amazing views from balcony and a fantastic location. Lots of little restaurants, bars, coffee shops within walking distance. As the property states it is above a bar and there are multiple stairs to climb as well. However this did not pose a problem for us. We enjoyed the music! Property manager communicated with us promptly as well. Would stay again!

Fun lake cabin

Apartment was awesome! Plenty of cool restaurants and bars around! Beautiful lake view. We enjoyed sitting on the awesome balcony w a sweet view of the seaplanes coming in, tours close. Ferry boat close. Down town mt dora area close, $15 uber ride.isic from the bar was awesome for us as we enjoyed hanging on that balcony and listening to the music below but not for everyone im sure. Could have been a little cleaner and couldnt figure out how to turn the lights on out on the awesome balcony. Definitely will be booking here again!!! Better than the hotel in the same plaza!!!!

Not a good choice if you like sleep

This unit is in a great location in town but sets on top of a very very loud bar that plays music and has bands from 12-12pm. The late night crowds are loud and many very drunk. Our unit was literally vibrating all day and until midnight. The entrance is behind the bar and filthy with garbage and grease drippings on the stairs. The unit inside and view were great if you can get past the noise levels and want to get drunk have a short walk to your room 😂 Definitely would not stay again.

Thank you for your reply. We will address the stairs asap. The garbage cans are stored behind the fence which is inside where you enter the stairs to the unit. Unfortunately, we cannot control the noise levels from the boats and people on city property. Our listing states that the unit is above a bar. Hopefully you were satisfied with the partial credit given back to you like agreed. Thank you.

Fun spot if you’re adulting

Stayed here for a large military reunion w my wife (lots of partying). Only real issue w unit was the bar/restaurants (below unit) grease trap exhaust was located next to the stairs leading up to the entrance (think pollen except grease on stairs and hand rails). My wife was stuck in the unit for 45 min while a crew chemically sprayed/cleaned the roof. The chemicals/water poured down onto the entrance stairs which kept her stuck in unit. This is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. If you’re not prepared to be up late on the weekends, this is probably not for you. For us it was perfect. Clean and GREAT location.
