A sweet studio with all the amenities
This sweet little studio is a charming vacation hideaway. It features a queen-sized bed, bathroom, full kitchen, a private street-facing balcony, air conditioning, and convenient amenities like pool towels, linens and regular cleaning service.

Live your best villa life
The studio is located in Casa Perla — a beautiful, beachfront home that is split into three separate units (which can be rented individually or together, depending on availability). The properties share a gorgeous rooftop patio that has a large tanning/lounging area, a dipping pool, and an outdoor grill. Casa Perla is cozy, bright and offers an authentic experience of a Mexican villa with whitewashed walls, spaces that fuse the indoors with the outdoors, and bright bursts of color.

The Space:
This suite has a queen size bed, bathroom (sink, toilet and shower), full kitchen, table that seats four people. It also has a private patio where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset every evening and access to enjoy the shared roof top patio that has a very large sun tanning/lounging area and a pool. Can't beat the sun and the view from this area of the house!

* If you are interested in a 2 bedroom suite, please contact the owner. This house is split into three separate units. There are two – two bedroom suites and one bachelor style suite (as noted above, this page is for the studio suite only)

Guest Access:
Guests from all three units will have access to the roof top patio and pool area.

The Neighborhood:
We love our neighbourhood because the neighbours are all very friendly and it's on a little dead-end street off the main road but still close to everything you need.

On the days you don't feel like making your own coffee and breakfast there is a very popular place just a block away, The Mango Café. We have a large grocery store that is walking distance from our house which will have everything you need including a liquor section, bakery, deli, beach accessories and lots of import food for the days that you are craving something from home.

A quick cab ride from the famous Playa Norte. Featured in numerous reviews as being one of the top 10 beaches in the world!

NOTE : The issue with the dogs across the street has been resolved. While we still have the authentic sounds of Mexico, which could include barking dogs, the dogs referenced in past reviews have been removed.

Getting Around:
A popular way to get around the island is by renting golf carts, scooters or bicycles. You can also get around very easily by taxi.

Interaction with Guests:
The property is located to the south of the Guadalupe church. Tell the taxi drive to turn on the street next to CASA MANGO, north of Villa la Bella.

The key is in the lock box outside the door to your suite. Use the code provided to open the box and remove the key to use in the door.

Memorable trip, wonderful stay

Highly recommend this space for a solo travel, couples or families. The check in process was seamless and Marla was very helpful with guests who had never been to Isla Mujeres before. We will be back!

Great View

This property is well maintained and in great shape. The bed was comfortable and the shower did not run out of hot water. The area is mostly residential yet there are some good restaurants within walking distance. I would stay there again.

Clean and Cozy

A nice clean studio apartment with a lovely view from the adjacent deck with plunge pool. Some friends were in the 2-bedroom unit on the level below, so our group had the rooftop all to ourselves. Only issue was trying to fit 2 tall people on a full bed, but that's on me for not confirming bed size.

Nice place!

Super fun! Would work wonderfully for larger families and rent out all 3 units! Check in had a little hiccup where maintenance wouldn’t let us in early even though everything was ready.

Barking dogs with a view

House is located in a tight neighborhood with a mechanic shop across the street and a house with large breed barking dogs. The dogs live on the roof across the street and barked all night, every night. They do provide a noise machine that mimics the ocean and ear plugs (We used both and still were woken by the dogs). Not quite my idea of sleeping next to the ocean this way. There is also a loud heavy banging noise from the roof that took place both day and night. But potential renters need to know this before booking. We were also offered another property that was twice the price and in the downtown area when we asked for an alternative location. Understandably there were not many options since we were already on island. No mention of exchanging for free or at a reduced rate. There was also no water one half day (property manager fixed). The pool heater was not working until our last day at the property as well. The shared roof deck is outside this units windows and there were not enough loungers to accommodate the number of people using the space. During our trip there were 10 people using the 3 units and 4 loungers. Private is better described as communal pool. Otherwise the view is spectacular and the area safe. There are iguanas that comes running when you throw them fruit scraps. They were very cool. There was bottled water for our use, and paper products. The towels and maid service are a great bonus. We stay at a lot of different vacation rentals and this one was great for the view but the worst for the sleeping situation. Understandably there is nothing that can be done with the barking dogs. Just being aware this is a serious problem for any potential renter.

This place was really amazing!!! Very convenient on the island. I only have 1 disappointment the roof top pool was cold. The other item that needs to be mentioned is the dogs barking at night. The neighbors to the north have 3 dogs that like to bark at everything at night and are loud dogs. The home across the street has 5 or 6 dogs that come up to the roof of their building and bark at night a lot as well. So if you choose Casa Perla ( which I do recommend) bring ear plugs for sleeping.

Terrible sleep - noisy Barking dogs right in front of the house

This property itself was fantastic, although no beach to swim the Location was great - walkable and a quick drive to many eating places close by. The one problem which ruined our nights of sleep were the dogs that lived in the house right in front of the property. They would sleep all day not a peep - but all night - literally til 4 or 6am at least one if not all 5 barking incessantly!! Sure there’s ear plugs, or tv and turn up the volume to drown the sound out…but who wants to do that on vacation when you can hear the sounds of the ocean waves?? And when I contacted the owner there is no response !! This needs to be corrected or warned of before someone books this location! It’s literally the only reason I would give it 3stars and that’s more than I think it deserves only for that reason!

Great Location

The unit has a fantastic view from the rooftop and is close to the Capilla de Guadalupe (it's at the end of the street). Great local restaurants are within walking distance and we felt very safe in the neighborhood. The cleaning service was offered to us almost daily! We had a small issue with the water pressure and linens when we checked in, but the property manager and team were quick to respond. We had a great time and made so many memories on Isla Mujeres. Casa Perla was a great value for the price and had everything we needed. Only thing I would suggest is maybe stocking the kitchen with salt, pepper, and sugar!

Sweet spot away from crowd

We truly loved our short stay at Casa Perla. We really loved the roof deck and spent our mornings out there watching the sun rise with coffee and breakfast. fun to walk around the neighborhood and explore the non-touristy side of the island. Only 4 stars and not 5 since the bed was way to soft for me and I didn't sleep well.

Amazing spot on isla mujeres

We had a great time here everything you need is all at this condo. The location was perfect the view was unforgettable. We could not say enough good things about this place. We however will not be returning only becouse the house across the street has 8 dogs who bark all night long and peed on our cart every night. The condo was amazing otherwise thank you for a beautiful vacation.

Such a clean, beautiful place. Amazing rooftop. Monica, the house manager, was very helpful and took great care of us. Highly recommend renting a golf cart. Also small restaurant around the corner has the best fish tacos on the island! Will recommend to all!

Very nice property in a neighborhood but close to restaurants and grocery store.

Outdoor areas are spectacular but this rental is very small and the bed is a full not a queen as described. We also were never able to get wifi our whole trip. This was frustrating but several restaurants had it so we made due.

Casa Perla was very beautiful and accommodating. A beautiful view of the Carribean. The bed was soft which was a plus. We were able to walk everywhere we went. The maid was wonderful and did a great job. The kitchen was very handy as we like to take advantage of the fresh fruits, vegetables, and seafood. The Catholic Church was right down the block. Restaurants in area with great food. And the island people are the best.

Amazing Stay at Casa Perla!

We loved this place! My husband and I normally stay downtown on Isla but we decided to try something new this trip. What a lovely location, so nice to be away from the downtown area. We found nice restaurants a block away and our favorite was this tiny little place that sold turkey and chicken burgers and tacos. Not sure the name but it was beside Bahama Mama restaurant, so worth going to if you stay at this house. The condo was so clean and tidy and had all the stuff we needed to cook at home, which is what we wanted to do this trip (except for dinners). The roof top was so nice with such a gorgeous view. Can't wait to return with friends and hopefully rent the whole place.

Great week in Isla Mujeres

This was a fantastic place to stay on Isla Mujeres. The property was centrally located on the island with a gorgeous view of the Caribbean. It was clean, well maintained, quiet and safe. There was quite a bit of construction in the neighborhood but it was not bothersome. There are several great places to dine within walking distance and a lovely deck on every level if you want to watch the gorgeous view and just relax. We would highly recommend Casa Perla and look forward to our return in the near future.
