Nice, quiet place
The property is in a quiet, residential part of Brooklyn, above a row of shops, so the area is fairly busy during the day but very quiet at night. It's about a 5 minute walk to 7th Avenue subway station (North) and about 10 minutes to 7th Avenue Subway (South). Between the two you have good connections to all of Brooklyn and Manhatten, and can even get to Queens fairly easily, so good location for travelling around if you're happy to use the subway.
The apartment itself was very clean and nicely decorated, has its own bathroom and some basic facilities for making food (coffee machine and toaster, as well as plates, cups and cutlery). There is a shop directly opposite to buy essentials.
I didn't meet Rosa, but was given the key by Neelam, who works in a salon two floors below the apartment, so getting into the property was easy, and location was well explained before I arrived so I had no problem finding it.
Although some distance from the big city, the subway takes you right to the heart of Manhatten in less than half an hour, so as a tourist I didn't find the distance from Manhatten a problem.
Of an evening, some of Brooklyn's best bars, including Threes Brewing and the Strong Rope brewery, are walking distance, and plenty more are only a few subway stops away.
Overall, really happy that I stayed here, can't fault it!
Lovely, comfortable room!
I spent nearly two weeks in this lovely room when I was in Brooklyn for the birth of my grandson. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean and spacious. I loved the walk-in shower! Thank you, Rosa, for providing a great place for me to stay! I'll be back!
Perfect little room in the heart of Park Slope
We really enjoyed our 3 day stay in Park Slope. Rosa greeted us and upon arrival and the room was perfect for our purposes. I can't wait to go back and stay there again.
Thank you so much, you are great guests .
Hope to see you again.
A very pleasant stay
The bedroom and bathroom were exactly as pictured. It was quiet and had privacy. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The walk in shower was appreciated as well as having plenty of towels available for our use.
Before we arrived we were concerned about the possibility of having to wait outside until Tammy met us with the keys. Happily this concern was unfounded as she was there to meet us immediately upon our arrival and she showed us where everything was in the unit such as light switches, extra towels etc. Thanks Tammy!
The only small issue we had was with the TV. It took some figuring out on how to operate it and to get the sound. Fortunately my husband is good with electronics and quickly got it working.
We would definitely be happy to stay here again.
Clean, quiet, private, great bed, great host, great location
Stayed for five nights. Rosa is lovely to interact with. The room is quiet and the bed is very comfortable. We had total privacy. Be sure to get instructions on the TV and air conditioner if you aren't tech savvy--it took us some effort to make it all work. Bookstore to one side and wine store to the other; great commercial street with the brand new Market Hall and also BareBurgers, to name a couple of eateries. Prospect Park and the farmers' market at Army Plaza just blocks away. We will stay here again.
Thank you so much.
You were great guests, respectful of the space, quiet, neet.
I look forward to seeing you again
The apartment was spotless and nicely decorated, very pleasant
We enjoyed our stay and felt the apartment had everything we needed for two people. We stayed 3 or 4 nights, and appreciated the kitchen and the grocery store right across the street! This was my first time staying in Park Slope and it's a beautiful fun area with Prospect Park just a short walk away. Very enjoyable trip!
Thank you, I'm glad you were able to enjoy your trip, and thank you for being so respectful of the space.
Hope to see you again
