About the property

November through May 1st h special! $300 nightly for up to 4 occupants with a $25 fee for each additional person.

This is the most amazing property that you can imagine! Million dollar property sits within the city limits of Jasper, Arkansas, a beautiful Ozark Mountain town 40 miles south of Branson, Missouri. The house/property is totally private as I have 2.5 GATED acres with two decks that extend within 10 ft of the Little Buffalo River!

You cannot see the house from the road. And, Bradley Park is adjacent to this property with children's FREE play areas, bathrooms, softball field, tennis courts, basket ball courts, grills, walking area around the River, fishing, and swimming--Also put in canoe/kayak there. Step off my property into beautiful Bradley Park! However, you have your own private walk area at this house! No neighbors on this side of street facing the River. The house sits virtually 10 ft from the Little Buffalo River. Fish off the deck, walk the flagstone walk ways to swim.......Be in your own private paradise!

Jasper and the Buffalo National Park are favorites of bikers due to Scenic 7 HWY, fishermen, canoe and kayaking, tubing, hunting, mountain climbing, hiking. There is a beautiful little town square 3 blocks from this house with restaurants and place of interest. I have WIFI, Cable, 4 TV's , city utilities!

Perfect vacation paradise for family, friends, or HONEY MOONERS! If you want a vacation paradise that you want to come back to year after year........You've found it!

This house has three large bedrooms. The master has a full bath, the two bedrooms upstairs share a bath (very private) and there is a half bath on the main level. There are three King beds and a bunk bed (2 beds) in one of the guest rooms and a futon that makes into a 3/4 bed in the other guest bedroom.. There is a large couch in the living room that could be a 7th bed for a sleeping area.

The house has full windows on three sides facing the River (no curtains necessary as no neighbors) and you can view the River from everywhere! Also, across from the River is the amazing Round Mountain. So you are surrounded by mountains while you view the Little Buffalo right below. Perfect for kayaking, canoeing, of lounging on tubes in the cool river stream.

All kitchen appliances are custom/state of the art. This is luxury at its best!

*****NOTES: The red wood burning stove in the living room is now decorative only. You cannot build a fire in it.

*****This house is not handicapped accessible AND this PROPERTY is not "toddler friendly." I would not recommend bringing children under 5 as the river is very close to the house. Children must be CLOSELY SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES.

About Dr. Linda Heard

I am a professional writer that fell in love with the Buffalo River National Park and specifically the beautiful Ozark Mountain town of Jasper, Arkansas many years ago. It is my fantasy retreat and I often come here just to mediate. I've been actively looking for a place here for 15 years. But, wanted on the River, with Internet, cable, and city utilities. Impossible said the realtors. I can sit at my desk and write looking out at the River flowing by.

Dr. Linda Heard purchased this lodge in 2015

Why Dr. Linda Heard chose Jasper

This property hits all my check points in a perfect paradise retreat. No neighbors, large property, on the Little Buffalo River, Cable, Internet, City utilities, gated, 2.5 acres. Beautiful, spacious, custom home.

Can walk downtown three blocks and be in the middle of a beautiful town square with wonderful restaurants and a great bakery. This house has decks extending within 10 ft of the River, has flagstone walk ways to the River, and is just so perfect, I couldn't pass up the chance to buy it. Wish I could stay all the time. But, this is my escape. May be yours too!

What makes this lodge unique

Fish from the deck, swim, kayak, canoe, right from my property...........and just serene and beautiful with the River and the mountains surrounding it. The house looks out to some amazing mountains.

Perfect base camp for an outdoorsy vacation.

  • 5 of 5

To begin with, the home is gorgeous, clean, comfortable and has incredible views from every room. There are multiple decks/patios off the back, overlooking the river. The only sounds you will here is the rushing water and the birds singing. If you want a more active vacation, the location is a perfect base camp for paddling the can be in Ponca in less than 30 minutes. For fishing, you can just walk right outside to the Little Buffalo. There is a small rapid just upstream from the house which is shallow enough to wade. When the kids were bored, we took them to the park next door to run around and play basketball. Visit the Elk Education Center in Jasper for a list of the best hikes in the area. On a rainy day explore the little town of Jasper....Emma's Museum of Junk is a must.

The owner and property manager were incredibly easy to work with and we had an overall amazing experience. We are already thinking about returning in the fall.

Our stay was absolutely amazing.

We loved our stay and definitely will be making plans to return. The cabin was spacious and perfect for my family. Hanging out on the deck listening to the rapids from the Little Buffalo river was amazing and relaxing. It was the perfect get away...

Perfect Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Spent spring break with our 4 sons (ages 10 to 18) here. Could not ask for a better place. The location is fantastic - right on the Little Buffalo River in Jasper. The multi-tiered deck and rock pathways provide amazing views and take you to the river. The city park adjoins the property which we used daily. The owner and manager are highly responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend staying here at any time of year - fishing, hiking, good food in town and lots of relaxing!

Quiet and tranquil paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I brought our three boys (16,14 and 10) for a week of disconnecting and enjoying nature. The house was perfect. Once you drive into the drive, you think you are in the middle of nowhere but you are close to all the conveniences of town. We enjoyed hiking the area, fishing from the balcony and rocks below, hunting for and skipping rocks and just enjoying the sounds of the river. Christy was such a help and was available anytime We had a question. She even had her sweet husband come jump our car off the morning of our departure. You cannot go wrong with this little bit of paradise. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely Amazing

  • 5 of 5

We had a place booked (only because it was a closer drive) and the owner canceled on us while we were on our way to Arkansas! Messaged Dr. Heard about a last minute rental availability. She responded within a few minutes and said she could have the house ready before we arrived (3 hours later). So glad the other place canceled because this house was amazing. The views were so beautiful and the property was peaceful while being close to town. The kids loved exploring the property and playing beside the shallow parts of the river despite it being 10 degrees outside. We will definitely be planning another stay in the summertime.

Little Buffalo River
Car: necessary

This house is 50 miles from Branson Missouri and Silver Dollar City. The 2.5 acre private estate has two decks, with the lower one 10ft from the Little Buffalo River. The rapids are wonderful to listen to through the day and night. There is year round water as the Little Buffalo is an oxbow in front of my house with rapids on each side which allows for a deeper pool. Fish are plentiful. The water is so clear that I can count the fish! The property sits 1/4 mile from HWY 7 and provides quick access to Harrison and Branson (40 miles away).
