About Kathleen Morrone

We have spent a lot of our lives traveling. After many years of living out of our backpacks, we finally crossed paths and formed a lifelong partnership. We got married the same year we purchased this property, at a remote ski-in backcountry cabin, on a full moon winter night, in our ski boots!

Kathleen Morrone purchased this chalet in 2015

Why Kathleen Morrone chose Kalispell

We have finally settled down in the beautiful Flathead Valley because of its beauty, friendly community, and the incredible access to mountain adventures. We both fell in love with this property immediately because of the amazing views of the mountains! It sits in such a gorgeous part of the valley, we knew right away that this was the perfect place for us.

What makes this chalet unique

The views from this property, the peaceful setting, and the proximity to outdoor recreation are second to none!

The house was clean and neat, there were lovely touches throughout. Everything available you could need. Comfortable beds and an amazing tub for soaking after long hikes! Kathleen was a superb hostess and we hope to be able to return some day.

Convenient and beautiful home with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

This home welcomes you with open arms as soon as you pull into the driveway. The lavender bushes and stone walkway compliment the mountain views beautifully. The home itself is beautifully decorated with warm vibes throughout. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals during our stay. The grill on the front porch was perfect. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us, but the home could fit up to 8 people. Laundry room was spacious (great for storage of suitcases and such) and the washer/dryer looked brand new. Came in handy after a couple weeks of hiking, she even provided detergent! Plenty of extra towels and linens. The house gets pretty warm on a hot summer day but the AC in the living room was powerful enough to cool down the entire first floor. Another AC in the room upstairs so we never felt uncomfortable. Great location to experience some quiet time near the mountains and stargaze at night, but close enough to Glacier NP to do some exploring in one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Would definitely stay again!

Quiet with pretty views

  • 5 of 5

Felt like home when we walked in - Kathleen had a vase of flowers waiting for us and a welcome message on the chalkboard. Best thing: Kathleen was so helpful and available before and during the trip. Favorite part - the quiet. There are a few neighboring houses you can see from the porch, down the road, but never really saw the neighbors. Very safe and lots of places to just walk along the country roads, if you want to hike more (after Glacier).
