Welcome to Eagle Ridge
There are countless breathtaking views here in the Great Smoky Mountains but the one you will see from your new home away from home is truly something to behold.
On your first clear evening you will see a sunset you aren't likely to forget.
The pictures you'll take of it will be beautiful, but you will still feel compelled to explain to people that they just don't do it justice. Because they won't. On clear nights, without the countless lights found in cities and towns, millions of stars will emerge.
While on the deck, far below you will hear the rushing water of Hornbuckle Creek to the South and Cranberry Creek to the North. The extensive trails right outside your door lead to a beautiful waterfall near where the two creeks converge.
Eagle Ridge is an extremely comfortable log home set on 3 acres, surrounded by thousands of miles of protected forests and the Cherokee Indian Reservation.
It is the last home at the end of a well maintained gravel road and is incredibly private despite being just minutes from downtown Maggie Valley. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
The sleeping arrangements...
1 King Bed in the master suite, 1 Queen bed in the guest suite, 2 twin beds in the 3rd bedroom, and 2 twin beds in the loft area. The King and Queen mattresses are both brand new 18" thick premium pillow top mattresses from Original Mattress Company delivered in June of 2015. All sheets are brand new, high thread count Egyptian Cotton. The result is a wonderfully comfortable place to lay your head at night.
It's an Indian phrase meaning 'Beyond the village' or 'Far from the things of man'. Relaxing at Eagle Ridge it's easy to feel like you're a hundred miles from the nearest sign of civilization. It's likely you won't see or hear another person or vehicle while you are at Eagle Ridge. It's peaceful, private, perfect.

What a fantastic way to end spring break! Couldn’t have asked for a better place!
As the owner indicates, the last 2 1/2 miles are quite a “trip” but his precise directions accompanied by pictures made it easy and once we got there, it was worth every minute spent driving there. The house is wonderfully spacious but the deck alone is worth every penny for the views that it has and the peace and quiet our serene, accompanied by the birds and the rushing water of the two creeks below. We were also able to spend quality time at great Smoky Mountains National Park as well. The owner was prompt in every communication that I sent to him and couldn’t have been more helpful. HIGHLY recommend!
Beautiful home, spacious, great views and walks.
Best Christmas ever
Gorgeous house, beautiful views, awesome hiking. Already planning our next visit.
Beautiful Mountain Views
We stayed here for a week on a girls trip. Beautiful mountain scenery that cannot be put into words. Gorgeous sunset views from the huge deck that surrounds most of the house. Lots of chairs and an outdoor fireplace to enjoy on the cold nights. Many things to do. Hiking, sightseeing and so close to the cute little town of Maggie Valley. Lots of shops and restaurants around too. But, if it’s peace and quiet you want, look no further. It’s off the beaten path and surrounded by nature. The ride to the cabin from the main road is a bit tricky so I would follow the owners instructions he provides and would highly recommend having an AWD vehicle if it is raining or snowing when you are staying there. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and spending the week at Eagle Ridge.
Eagles Ridge - Great experience!
INK - (22yo) Great location with great views near the Blue Ridge Parkway with even better views! Remote getaway that begs a midlife crisis? Lol!
EAK - (22yo) Best views of probably any cabin up there. Great deck for gatherings!
Drive in is beautiful and fun (4x4 recommended)! We were able to pull a 6'x12' Uhaul trailer in and also rode with motorcycles.
Saw two bear on drive in.
Saw elk 15 min from cabin on Blue Ridge Parkway.
DAK - (54yo) Stayed 9 nights.
Owner is easy to contact, pleasant, and accommodating!
Drive in was an adventure! I was thankful for the detailed directions provided! Had I used them more often in the beginning, I would not have 'gotten lost' on the mountain multiple times!
I was unable to drive the road (in my Chevy truck) to the cabin with coffee from the Organic Beans Coffee Company (which I highly recommend) without ridiculous amounts of coffee shooting out of the small hole in the top! Lol!
Seemingly remote yet near establishments, shopping, and activities.
Abundant supply of towels, dishes, and utensils. Nice sheets and comfy beds.
I appreciated the washer/dryer and the WIFI.
BEAUTIFUL views - especially the sunsets!
Impressive, large deck even has lights built into the railings! Nice to hear the creeks while on the deck! ALL the chairs around the fire pit on the deck are rocking chairs!
I did not spend much time at the cabin as I was in the area for a convention but I would recommend staying at Eagles Ridge!
Beautiful and relaxing.
Amazing craftsmanship on the new deck and overall property. Truly inspiring experience.
A beautiful private escape central to countless local attractions. Just a few include Harrah's Cherokee Casino, The Nantahala Outdoor Center, The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, The Cataloochee Ski Area, and The Blue Ridge Parkway. You will found countless waterfalls to hike to and dozens of rushing streams teaming with trout. More than half of all renters to Eagle Ridge return in the following years and many have made it a yearly tradition! It is only fair to warn you that you probably won't want to leave at the end of your stay!
