Perfect getaway

If you’re looking for more of a “glam-ping” experience, this place was perfect! The trailer was just the right size for our family of 5. The only suggestions I have for anyone visiting is to bring jugs of drinking water- the water does come out yellow from the faucets. The place provided everything we needed from garbage bags and coffee filters to linens and towels. There are cute little rocky beach areas where we were able to go in waist deep in calm water and found a ton of cool shells and beach glass! The island was quiet and friendly. I read some mixed reviews prior to our stay, but to be honest- it was exactly what we expected and will be returning next year!

Unforgetable experience

This place was in a nice community, but the house was a dump. It was difficult to find and not very clean. There was a hole in the shower surround, the bikes were rusted, and there was a window and door that were obviously almost broken, upon arrival. The owners will charge you an arm and a leg if you don't take the trash out, place the used sheets on the floor, put dishes away, etc. We will not be staying at this vrbo again, but will be returning to Middle Bass Island.

Noisy

Not at all what we expected and worst of all lots of party noise even after 2 AM. The posted neighborhood quiet time was 11 PM.

Absolutely Horrible!!

We were very disappointed in the villa, pool, and general stay. The villa was dirty (dirty dishes, nail clippings on the floor in the bathroom) and in overall rough shape. There is a hole in the vent in the floor in the kitchen where we put a chair over it so no one would step on it. There were two holes (one rather large) in the shower wall and the wall was very spongy, and a hole on the inside wall of the tub!!! We tried to go down to the pool and hot tub, however, the entire area was covered in trash (not to mention the dead rabbit floating in the pool!) The bikes there to use had flat and dry-rotted tires, the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, and the beds were broken!! We tried to go to Walleye's for dinner on Monday, however, it was a complete bust!!! We ordered our drinks then the wait staff disappeared! We sat there for 35 minutes with empty drinks, no check, not able to order food. When the bartender finally showed back up we paid for our drinks and left! (I honestly don't know that I would ever eat there, she had a hairbrush full of hair sitting on the bar drain along with her vape pens! For as much as I paid to stay for 3 nights and couldn't even make it the third night, I was very disappointed. I feel cheated and should have really paid better attention to the reviews that we read.

Good place to stay

The contact person I dealt with was fantastic!!! His name is Chris. One of the mattresses totally needs to be replaced!!! It was horrible! It would have been nice to have some cleaning supplies in the rental to keep it clean during our stay. The place was tidy but didn’t appear to have been really cleaned prior to our arrival. Great location and everyone at Hazard’s was super friendly!!

Amazing time MBI

The place we stayed #38 was exactly what we expected. PERFECT. Clean,plenty of room, we had 5 guests. Two 6’ 17 year old boys slept in the loft with no problem. Thank you.

So cute! But....

Four adults stayed in this little 'villa' nestled together with other similar, bright color villas. It is very cute, as is the setting including pool, lagoon, tiki bar, and restaurant. I would stay again. However, 4 or 6 adults need a full size coffee pot. And, older adults need a better mattress. The mattresses were very old and broken down. I bet a bed-in-a-box mattress would pay for itself in no time and last several seasons. Also, "linens not provided" includes blankets. We made do with our beach blankets.

Very cute! I'd update 2 things...

The St. Hazards resort is very cool. This 'villa' is a very cute tiny house. There was enough room for the four of us. The only thing we would change is to have a full size coffee pot and better mattresses. Suggestion: get mattress in a box. They would pay for themselves with a few rentals and be much more comfortable. We 4 older women were very sore from the mattresses. That said, we would stay here again.

Save your money and go somewhere else.

This was the worst trip I’ve ever taken. In my life. To start off, when we arrived to Middle Bass, NO employees were following COVID-19 guidelines. In the 48 hours we stayed (left early because of how horrible it all was), I saw 1 employee wear a face covering. No social distancing occurred on the whole island and it made us so uncomfortable. Every bar was also serving alcohol WELL past 10pm, which is currently illegal. All staff were extremely rude as well, as at times we waited over 1.5 hours for food and when we asked about it, we were told by an employee “I’m pregnant, tired, and don’t care” and “that’s not my job” by another. There were bugs all over our rental, especially ants. The beds were so uncomfortable. There is no wifi near this rental unless you want a 15 minute walk and absolutely no service. To top it off, we lost water at our rental 3 times in 1 day. Out of the 3 places to eat and 1 store on the whole island, everything was so expensive. And to top that off, I got food poisoning from the pizza place. Seriously, save your $$ and book anywhere else in America. I couldn’t wait to get off this island and just go home.

Great stay for a quaint get a way with kids

We really enjoy staying here. Kitchen is well stocked with what you need if you plan to make some of your meals. 3 days is a perfect stay. Pool is great! Our travel was on the two days the island staff have off , which would have been nice to know prior, so restaurants were closed and no bartenders at JF Walleyes. At our pool side the same thing came in to play. It would have been nice for the inside 1 person crew to see if possibly guests needed something every now and then since guests couldn’t be inside without masks due to Covid. Strange times however we adjusted well. Bring extra beverages and food in case you have to cook🙃😉 the staff at JF walleyes were fabulous in the day we did get to indulge. Check in was also great and our lady made sure to have the air on since it was sweltering outside. We enjoyed our stay just remember it’s a casual environment and easy to relax.

Worst beds ever!

This place needs some love! Beds are horrible, couch is just as bad. Was close to pool, so kids enjoyed that. Bunch of guys stayed in the rental next door and partied half the night the whole weekend long. Very loud. Lots of obscenities. One of them was carrying a half gallon bottle of vodka and chugging it in the yard. Then he passed out and fell down in the yard. Not what I wanted my kids to see in this “family friendly” setting. Will not stay here again! The island was great and the rest of the trip was great. Accommodations...not so much.
