We had a crew of 5 guys up on a snowmobile trip and this worked out really well. Easy to get to and secluded. Real close to the trails. Lots of room to park trucks and trailers. The home was cozy and fit us 5 well, each with our own bed. Everything to cook some meals were there. Nice scenery out back. Certainly would go back again! Thank you
Fantastic private cabin in the woods but close to everything.
Stayed for two nights to snowmobile with a friend. Cabin was extremely clean, well kept, and fully stocked. Kim was an outstanding communicator. You can access the trails from the cabin and the view around you is beautiful. Great stay! Thank you Kim
Glad you found the trails and the snow was good!!!
Perfect for our Guys Weekend
We stayed here for a guys weekend and had a great time. Our only requirements were something within a reasonable distance of Traverse City and Sleeping Bear, affordable, and something isolated in the woods, and this cottage checked all those boxes. The place was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed; all the kitchen stuff, bath towels, even central air. There is double bed and bunk bed in one room on the main floor and a king bed and trundle bed in the loft so sleeping arrangements aren't private but no big deal for a guys weekend. It's on 75 wooded acres but also has some open spaces near the cottage and driveways which was great because we brought a portable disc golf basket and could play all over. The fire pit was perfect; they already had wood we could use and the fire pit was huge. Kim, the host, was always quick to respond to my questions and very helpful. The place is also close to several grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. We went about 30 min east to Grayling to rent kayaks but passed another place that was probably half that far. I'd recommend this cottage for others doing an outing with friends or family and will keep it in mind the next time I need to stay in the northern lower.
Very Beautiful Property In Kalkaska
A wonderful experience. The A Frame style cabin was very neat and cozy. 100% will be returning.
Nice cabin on the hill. Enjoyed out stay.
We met some friends for a getaway. The Kalkaska location got us out of the bustle of Traverse City but close enough to get to all the excitement of the city. The cabin was exactly as advertised, quiet, and we produced some of the best s'mores ever created by a campfire. An excellent view of sunsets and the stars were brilliant. All of the switches were well labeled and functional. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed some good night's sleep!
