This was a nice property…especially if you’re looking for something that’s not surrounded by a ton of people. It’s nice and quiet on a great lot and is a convenient distance from town. It was the perfect size for our family and dog.

Everything was great. The property was clean and easily accessible. Only issue I had was no cell phone service but that isn’t the hosts fault. Be prepared to have no service until connecting to WiFi.

The property was described as listed. Beds were very comfy, kitchen had everything we needed. Given the remote location from town, the wifi and dish satellite have sketchy connections, especially if weather is bad. Also, we recommended to the owner to upgrade the main tv in the living room. If you want a great mountain experience with huge trees around you, this is the place. We saw a family of wild turkeys every day.

Wonderful Property with Beautiful views

We had an absolute amazing time in Glenwood at this property. It was clean, well maintained, and very easy to get to from Glenwood. The view was so beautiful from the deck and was a wonderful place to stay. We would definitely book here again!

Love this place. We’ve stayed here before for our family and friend’s fishing trip. Great location to rivers and town. Host took great care in making sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Ms. Rochowiak stayed at our house while her home was being remodeled. All was good until a bear damaged their pickup bed cover. I went the extra mile by filing a claim with our homeowners policy. Since there was no negligence by the owner they wouldn’t cover the claim. I felt she was sour grapes since she had to pay the deductible. We provided a clean well stocked home and she was mad at their loss.

Amazing property and hosts!

We stayed at Ted and Mary's property over the Christmas holiday and they were so accommodating, they even had some decorated Christmas trees up for us! The entire place was well laid out and comfortable for our entire family! Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Family Retreat

Our family enjoyed time together at this peaceful property in a beautiful setting outside Glenwood Springs. The house was very clean. Host is a pleasure to communicate with and took care of any issues promptly. The deck is really nice for sitting and listening to the creek.

This home has a major mold, must and mildew problem. The property needs a deep cleaning, including the sofas. This home is NOT air-conditioned. One standalone air conditioning unit from Home Depot does not make a home air-conditioned. It also does not have a chef's kitchen. We are still unclear what the Master Bedroom was. Bedding needs to be cleaned properly. The washing machine instructions say to use the "quick cleaning" setting because anything else "takes too long." Our entire family felt ill each time we were in the house. We ended our vacation early because of the poor cleanliness and the pungent mold smell, which gave us all headaches and made us feel ill. We did not feel this way when we were out of the home. Very small hot water heater. The owners are very friendly and have done a great job trying to decorate and update a very old home using Hobby Lobby. The decorating does not mask the home's age or its condition. There is not much creek to speak of; due to the current drought, it's dry. The creek is very overgrown. This home has several positive Reviews. A closer look makes it obvious several were written by friends, as they appear out of date order (not how VRBO reviews work), and many use similar language. This home is located 45 minutes away from Hanging Lake, and downtown is 20 minutes away. We own a mountain home and live in the mountains. Pipes are old and need to be inspected. Bugs are coming out of them. Would suggest spraying for spiders, etc., too.

I am a honest person and find your review somewhat dramatic. You started off by stating that the home has a major mold, must and mildew problem. I have a background in environmental health and remediation. There is absolutely no evidence of this condition. I personally did a complete walkthrough with flashlight (pulling up carpeting, inspecting baseboards, opening up closet's and cabinets). Most of all I never experienced this scent you described. We have experienced a very dry season that also is a non contributing factor of your statement. You continue to nitpick, such as the home does not have a chef’s kitchen. No it does not, we never stated in our home description that we had one. Most guest remark that we provide a very well stocked kitchen. Bedding needs to be cleaned properly (what is properly other than treat any spots and wash thoroughly in a commercial washer and dryer. You stated that the home the home has several reviews that were written by “friends”. This never the case since reviews are only written by guest that have stayed at our home. You again attacked us on being 45 minutes away from Hanging Lake. I entered the home address to Hanging Lake on common used GPS devices that tend to be conservative, they answered 31 minutes. Also stated we we 20 minutes from downtown, GPS 15 minutes. There were a lot of opinions but no solid facts to support her statements. My wife and I have been host for 10 years, its the people that are honest and sincere that keep us going and earned us an Exceptional 9.8 rating from 319 reviews.

Worth the short drive out of town!

My family stayed at Pete's Place for 3 nights in July and loved it. The extra space for the teens was great, the outside deck space was fantastic. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable! Highly recommend taking the short drive out of town to this private relaxing space!
