The Guest House is a 780 sq. ft. 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condominium centrally located within a condo community in south Denver. With easy access to transit and I-25, The Guest House is perfect for relocation, house-hunting, extended business trips (e.g. traveling nurses, visiting scientists) and long vacations. We are located just north of the Denver Tech Center and just south of the University of Denver. With the Southmoor light rail station just minutes away by foot or car, The Guest House is also an excellent choice for those whose business or pleasure takes them to downtown Denver.
Established in 2015, all of the furnishings in The Guest House are new and were selected to create a comfortable but modern feel. The Guest House sleeps 1-2 comfortably in a queen size bed and the bedroom also features a large walk-in closet. All appliances are full size and include front-loading washer and dryer, dishwasher and electric glass-top range.
The living room features a 45" flat screen TV and Blueray player with a full Comcast cable TV package, high speed internet with wireless and a land line phone.
The large patio is a highlight of this property if you enjoy spending time relaxing outside. Landscaping surrounds the patio, which provides a sense of privacy even though the unit overlooks the central common space, where you'll often see residents walking their dogs. We provide patio chairs and a small table.
Off the dining area, which seats four comfortably at an extendable table, you'll find a galley kitchen that includes dinner and glassware for six, a full set of cookware, basic bakeware, a coffee maker, kettle, toaster oven and a nicely stocked spice cupboard with a range of basic spices and cooking supplies such as spray and oil. A detailed list of items available in the kitchen will be included in your welcome packet before you arrive, but if there is something specific you hope to find, please don't hesitate to ask. Being able to cook while away from home is one of our main reasons for staying in vacation properties when we travel, so we've tried to equip the kitchen as we'd hope to find it.
We are a pet-friendly property, but limit guests to one dog or cat. Dogs must be leashed at all times while on the property per Denver ordinances. Owners must, of course, pick up after their dogs and pets may not be left unattended on the patio. Noisy or otherwise disruptive animals will not be tolerated and you may be asked to leave. The community clubhouse features a large indoor pool and recently remodeled workout room with a high-end treadmill, recumbent bike, universal gym equipment and free weights. These amenities are available to our guests via a key card. Lost key cards will incur a $25 replacement fee.
Though marijuana is legal for personal, private consumption in Denver, The Guest House is a fully non-smoking property. Guests may not smoke tobacco, e-cigarettes or marijuana (or any other substance) inside or on the patio. Please choose other accommodations if you intend to smoke during your stay in Denver.
The Guest House is a ground floor unit, but the main entry is below street-level and is only accessible via a flight of stairs. On-site parking is abundant and includes a dedicated covered parking space.
We thoroughly clean the property after each guest for shorter stays and at least once per month during longer visits. However, cleaning supplies including a cyclonic vacuum, Swiffer sweeper and broom are available for touch ups should you need them.
Though we hope that guests will treat The Guest House, community property and our neighbors with the utmost respect, we will require guests to sign a contract acknowledging community/property rules & regulations, limits on liability, etc. Guests are fully responsible for any damage they, their guests or their pets cause to the property.
As we live onsite, we will either meet you or make arrangements for you to get the door key via a lock box, depending upon the time of your arrival. Check-in and check-out times are flexible.
We prefer monthly bookings to begin on the 1st and end on the 30th or 31st, but we may be flexible. Also, guests are welcome to use as little or as much of the 30-day booking as meets their needs. However, Denver laws are shifting in such a way that The Guest House cannot be rented for less than 30 days (29 nights) at a time.
