Perfect little Tahoe getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at this classic A-frame, right by Sunnyside. After a grueling trip up the snowy mountain, we arrived to this warm, cozy, and clean home. The house is small, but nicely laid out to maximize space, and was the perfect spot to suit our needs. Would love to come back and visit again!

Wonderful little cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our family of four (two adults, a kid and a baby). Close to resorts, close to town, well maintained and very comfortable.

Perfection no, nice yes.

  • 4 of 5

The cabin worked out great for us. We skiied Homewood the first day then Diamond Peak the next and had a great time. The cabin was plenty comfortable for and more than enough room for the three of us. My wife and I found the bed upstairs to be comfortable as did our 8 year old [he was going to sleep in the single bed in the office just outside the bedroom but it was so hard he couldn't. So I slept down stairs in the double bed there and slept great].

The cabin is setup nicely but we were a little disappointed to find no sugar for coffee or oil for cooking; which is not a deal breaker, but every other place we have rented has had things like that left in the cupboards.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay but would probably stay in something a little smaller or bring a couple friends to help share the cost.

Great house in convienient location

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four spent 8 days over the new year at this property. We found it very comfortable and roomier than we expected from the photos. It had a well equipped and functional kitchen which we enjoyed as we like to cook. It was only a short downhill walk to Sunnyside where there is bus stop for local TART bus service and is only a couple of minutes drive toTahoe City and Homewood. Only minor issue we had was the location of the heating unit opposite the very cute downstairs bedroom. We are used to a silent heating system so it took our daughter a few nights to get use to the sound of the heating system turning on and off. Overall we thought it was a great place to stay and good value.

Clean, conveniently located, nice neighborhood. Roomy and fully equipped cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Parking is spacious on the driveway in the front of the cabin. Unloading and loading was easy using the well lit and deep front deck. The cabin had two floors for our two young kids and the grown ups to spread out and relax after snow play. The deck had a grate to stomp off snow before entering the cabin. The back of the cabin had a mud room/ laundry room with (washer and dryer) and easy access to the back yard. Keeping the inside clean was easy.

It's 30 degrees outside and really quiet. Having breakfast on the front deck was awesome! Sipping fresh brewed coffee in pajamas under pine trees covered in snow while watching the morning sunrise next to a hefty wood table on a huge wood deck just a step outside the front door is the way I like to start the day!

For the full cabin experience and to enjoy the front deck, we prefer cooking and eating in (especially breakfast and dinner) but the hand washing is the downside.

Some minor inconveniences: The cabin did not have an automatic dishwasher but there was plenty of dish soap, hot water and hand lotion.

Another "thing" : The cell signal for ATT had "no service" in and around the cabin. There's a landline phone to use if we needed.

We have stayed in other cabins and condos before. I like this charming cabin's quiet and convenient location which is about three or four blocks away from the busy highway.
