The Farmhouse at Pelletiere Estate is the quintessential wine country hideaway!
The property has a rich local history dating back to the late 1890's. The original Farmhouse has been lovingly updated, and sits proudly on our estate. The Pelletiere Estate vineyard was planted in 1993-1996, and is family owned & operated with a commitment to the traditions of fine winemaking and responsible stewardship of its vineyard land for future generations to savor and uphold.
Its south facing sloped terrain, rocky limestone soils, cool coastal breezes and diurnal fluctuation in temperature create, above all an estate ideal for wine growing. Here we produce exceptional Italian varietals that honor our Italian heritage and those of our predecessor. Today, 100 percent of Pelletiere Estate wines are sourced from its sustainably-farmed estate grown Italian varieties which include; Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Montepulciano, Lagrein, and Zinfandel, as well as, our Syrah and Viognier. We are dedicated to meticulous vineyard care, picking at optimum ripeness, and creating elegant Italian style wines which express the balance and pure flavors of our vineyard terrior.
The Farmhouse has a chi,c rustic- refined vibe. The house is comfortable and cozy, yet lavish and luxurious. The views from every angle are breath-taking and yours to savor. A large deck was added to the front of the house to further enjoy the views while sipping our delicious estate wines.
The Farmhouse is Secluded and Private Yet Very Close to Hwy 46 West, Just a Few Miles to Downtown. Right Outside Our Gates is the Premier Cycling Area Along With Paso's West Side Famed Willow Creek District Wineries. My husband and I, and two adult sons, spent several days at this very comfortable farmhouse. It is tastefully decorated and well equipped and perfect for adults. The location is peaceful with beautiful scenery--a bit of Tuscany with a cowboy influence! Because the house is so nice we were reluctant to leave--after wine tasting/sight seeing we were happy to stay "at home" and barbecue out on the large deck, listening to music, star gazing, just being together and relaxing in a peaceful, comfortable environment. We loved walking to the top of the hill just before sunset, standing in the midst of the vines, watching the shadows change as the sun sank below the horizon.
We did have a fabulous meal out at the restaurant 'Il Cortile' in downtown Paso. Excellent service, excellent food, important to make a reservation in advance. We also visited 'We Olive' in Paso--great experience--and left there with several bottles of fresh olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We loved the Blackberry balsamic and the Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but it's a tough decision! We visited three vineyards--Law, Justin and, of course, Pelletiere. Law requires a reservation and is a very special experience. Justin is rather commercial but some in our group have a few favorites there. Tasting at Justin is free if you have lunch or dinner, which I recommend--the food, service and location are really nice. Our last tasting was at Pellitierre Estate with Janis as our pourer. Janis is the owner of the vineyard and extremely knowledgeable about wine and wine making and is completely involved in the process. 100% of her wine is sustainably sourced from the vineyard. Also, they are Italian varieties, which is rather rare in Paso. We came home with bottles of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Zinfandel, and we couldn't help but join the wine club. Looking forward to receiving our first shipment, and all the wonderful memories along with it!
This is a great vacation house. The location couldn't be better, close to wineries, surrounded by vineyards yet close to town and easy to find. The house itself is so comfortable, and stylish....We didn't want to leave!! Thank you Janis for the hospitality and the WINE...it was the best of our trip!!!
Our four night stay was great. Wonderful house for 2 couples to share for wine tasting adventures. Location is great, close to the wineries and main part of town, but also "out of the way" so that it's very quiet and pretty secluded. Janis, Denise and Amy were all great and very welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit!
Janis was great, the house and location were incredible!!! Enough room for 2 couples. The bed in the smaller bedroom is pretty hard but some may like that! We tasted, we stomped and we will be back!!
This has to be one of the cutest houses I've ever stayed at! The entire place is light and bright, with large windows and french doors that open up to the most amazing views. My fiancé and I stayed at the Farmhouse the weekend that we got married and I couldn't imagine a more special fit for such a special time in our lives. It also didn't hurt that Pelletiere is one of my favorite wineries so being able to walk a few short steps to the tasting room whenever we wanted was way too convenient ;) I will absolutely stay here again and will be recommending it to everyone!
Janis did a wonderful job renovating and decorating the farmhouse. The place is charming. The deck is a comfortable place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine and take in gorgeous views.
Unique setting on a lovely vineyard. Janis is a charming, hospitable host. Accommodations were perfect for four adults. Fantastic location with several outstanding wineries within a 10 minute drive and close to fine dining in downtown Paso Robles.
The best westside cycling is right out your Door! Beautiful vineyard views from every window!
