What a wonderful place to stay! I enjoyed a three generation girls' weekend away, and it had everything we needed for 11- 70 year olds. Beautiful decor, lots of beds and break-out spaces, easy walk to the beach, two fridges, and our host was both accommodating and super helpful. Thank you so much!

The property suited our family well. The house was clean and had plenty of crockery/cutlery for the 18 people who were there. The children enjoyed the flat grass area and how close the property was to the beach.

Family getaway!

We had a brilliant 4 night stay at the Waihi Beach Hive. The facilities are perfect for large groups and there was plenty of space to feel like we were not in each others way. The other families on the street were friendly and our kids all played together! Super handy to the beach. Will definitely be booking again in future!

A brilliant place in Bowentown

This is the second we've stayed here, and have just booked to come back next year! It's a lovely, comfy but classy house, with loads of bathrooms, and everything you need to cater to a whole heap of people, of all different ages. And they allow dogs! And it's fully fenced so you never have to worry about kids or pets. Lynley was fantastic to deal with. Very highly recommend.

Great for big families

I stayed here with my siblings who all have young kids, and my parents. It just felt very easy and comfortable. The bedrooms are good size, and enough bathrooms for everyone. Good grass space outside for parking / playing games. We really enjoyed our stay

Long weekend retreat with extended family, Children 1 - 7, years , had a large lawn to run around on , scooters to ride on the drive and toys in a cupboard. Dogs are fully fenced and accepted a real bonus. Several areas for chilling out , and as we rented to upstairs room the Big Kids could set up board games and play with out being in the way or too noisy. A very easy 4 minute walk to the beach . The best hottest showers ive had in a beach house. Dishwasher , fully equipped kitchen , and a few staples in the pantry , salt oil etc. Weve had the best family weekend together in years .. Location Location Location . Well be back

Birthday Celebration

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating my birthday with friends & family. The Hive was a fabulous place to stay, sooo spacious & with four families staying it was perfect. Thank you to Lynley for being such a thoughtful host & making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back. The weather was pretty good too.

Our insinkerator unexpectedly started to die and the boys even volunteered to take a look at it - we have a new one, thanks to their investigations! It was very timely and being plumbers, they knew just the one to recommend. Thanks guys!! They left the house clean and tidy and were just lovely to deal with. Expectations were high ..

Brilliant family holiday base

The Beach Hive was the perfect location for our multi-family getaway. With heaps of space for us all to spread out and a lovely atmosphere we were super comfortable. The garden is safely fenced so the kids could roam around freely while we relaxed, and the house is very close to the important things: beach, playground, and reserve all just right there. We had a fabulous stay, and highly recommended the Hive to anyone looking for a beach holiday in the area (we really enjoyed the local walks and activities too). Oh and just so great to be able to bring the dogs! Thank you for our lovely stay.

Family Gathering

Great opportunity to bring four generations under one roof, we enjoyed our event at nearby Athenree Homestead was impressed with the provisions, kitchen facilities and platters at the Beach Hive and local Fish and Chip Shop great. Beds comfortable and all we needed and wanted. Need to be clearer that no linen is provided. Many thanks lovely 4 night stay

Fabulous

A large well appointed home with plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen while small is very well equippd to cater for larger groups. The house has a lovely comfortabe atmosphere and we loved the art. The toddlers enjoyd the toys, the teenagers the Netflix, the grandparents loved the lovely quiet upstairs unit and everyone appreciated the very comfortable beds. This house was a pleasure to stay in and is ideal for large family groups.
