The things we appreciate most are the house itself, how clean it is when we arrive, how close it is to the beach, Laura’s responsiveness and all the nice updates!!My mom (87 years) came this year and drinks espresso several times a day. We reached out to Laura when her Bialetti espresso maker wouldn’t work on the induction stove top and she saved the week by dropping off a nespresso maker WITH pods within a few hours. I can’t imagine ANY other management company being so responsive! We really appreciate you!!The house itself is fabulous, up to date, kitchen has everything you could need, pack n plays, great beach games, we could go on and on. Thank you and we look forward to returning!!

Kitchen was fully stocked, the extra fridges were very helpful, kids loved the hammock and hammock chairs, amazing views from the deck and horses visited us a 5 mornings. Laura at Carova Cottages was very responsive before and during our stay. We will definitely be back to Bikinis and Bellinis in the future!

What an amazing house! The attention for detail, all the little amenities!!! Anything that could possibly be needed, is there. (We actually made a game out of it to see if someone could name something!lol) Felt like family and staying at home from the very 1st (crazy) incident I had booking and Laura took care of it so incredibly fast, to the checking out procedures. Everything was perdect!!!!

Loved Every Minute of Our OBX Vacation

This property is amazing. The homeowners have thought of everything. My only complaint was having to leave after our week was up! I HIGHLY suggest reaching out to Laura at Corova Cottages before you book so she can tell you about this amazing property. She was amazing with our group!

It has everything you could need, well stocked kitchen, two dishwashers great for large groups, the pool and hot tub are clean and have lots of seating, nice beach chairs available, and is the first house in Carova I have visited where the water didn’t smell like sulfur thanks to the filtration system at the house. Thanks for making our stay amazing!

Perfect Family Vacation Week!

We have been coming to OBX for 10 years now and this was by far the best house we have ever stayed in. The extra amenities - beach gear, indoor/outdoor games, fire pit, hot tub/pool, new grills, and so much more made this stay fantastic. The house was the cleanest one we have ever stayed in and the extra personal touches made it even better. This was our first time staying on the 4x4 beach and we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere so much. We only left the house/beach one time to venture into Corolla to climb the lighthouse, do some shopping and eat out. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our favorite meals each night. Laura and Dave were so accommodating and quick to resolve any issue or answer any question we had. They even brought firewood over one night so we could have a s'mores night in the outdoor fire pit. We enjoyed talking with them when they stopped by to take care of something and realizing that they used to live near us in Maryland...such a small world!!We appreciate you sharing your beach house with us and look forward to visiting again soon!

All about the property managers

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had another great vacation. We have stayed at 3 properties from Carova Cottages over the last three years. Each house has been a different size and different features. But every year, as all vacations have, we have things that go wrong or are missing or broken,etc. certain things can ruin a vacation. For every vacation to the OBX we haven taken care of above and beyond with Laura at Carova Cottages. They truly care about whether u had a good time. She had a hot tub guy out as soon as the motor stopped. She answered every text we had about some high tech appliances and even spoke to the owner when we had an issue. Vacations will always have things go wrong but if the property managers are anything like Carova Cottages then you will be well taken care of. This specific house was newly updated and very beautiful. It has every thing you need except a keurig which Laura ended up bringing us one before check in. The pool table could be updated and they need new pool sticks. But other than that the house is beautiful, updated, and big. You don’t deal with any people around your house as you are two rows back from the ocean. We saw one herd of horses multiple times In our yard. 10/10 would stay at this house again.

family beach vacation

1st time i rent a whole house 2 grand parents 4 sibling with partners 5 grandchildren the house was perfect kitchen very well equipped nice pool and hot tub every body had great time there i own 10 horses we were in wild horses every day in the yard beach etc new experience 2 large black snakes on deck(interesting) we did not kill them best beach vacation with whole family ps only 1 thing to complain there was the cheapest toaster 2 slices only not good in am to provide toast for the bunch lol

Amazing family vacation

After almost three years of being apart, my family from all over met here to spend the week together and we had the best vacation. The Screamin’ Mimi was perfect for so many reasons - the first one being the quiet, peaceful location. Second, the pool and hot tub were awesome. Third, the house feels like a real home, not just a rental. There’s a great book walking you through the building of it and it was great to read. Finally, the grandkids call my mom Meme so it was the icing on the cake. Before we left, we were sure to book our return trip next year!

Private, Beautiful Beach House

This home is absolutely beautiful! It offers plenty of privacy as well as it is not close to any other houses. It is also close to the ocean and has an amazing view! We loved reading books on the hammock, as the wild horses grazed in the yard. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. We loved the pool table, and played for hours. There are lots of books and movies on hand for rainy beach days. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare meals. I love the location of this home. The beach is very wide and spacious! There are also plenty of beach chairs, which made packing for our trip a lot easier! My family had the best trip, and we will be staying at this house in the future!
