About Judy Owen or Carolyn Owen
Judy and I have owned and rented property in the Alexandria area for over 25 years. We want those of you who join us for vacation to have a house that resembles and is equipped as your own home. We provide linens, towels, pots and pans etc. so that if you want to cook you can. The joy we get when we hear children laughing and playing lifts our spirits and is a reminder of our own grandchildren. It makes our work worthwhile.
Why Judy Owen or Carolyn Owen chose Alexandria
Graystone Lodge is perfect for groups wanting to spend time together both inside and outside. We love the outside of this house because the yard is the perfect size for tossing a football or playing a bean bag toss game. It is also set up in a way that makes it easy to watch and play with kids on the Rainbow play system or have fun swimming in the lake. There are so many places to be outside and watch the changing weather and sunrises and sunsets. The inside has so much room to come together to eat, play games and share a good time. There is also great space to take in a can't miss game on TV. We are excited to share our home with guests.

Vacation for 12
The house is roomy, nice to have 2 kitchens, good seating areas
We did run into bad weather most days, too windy for pontoon rides or sitting outside as it was too cold
No way to predict weather
Fun filled abundant activities!
This house in Alexandria has so much fun to offer! It has enough bedrooms for our large family to stay together and the cousins were excited to be able to share a room. The house was clean and well kept. We appreciated the use of the pontoon, ping pong table, playground, yard activities, and sand toys for the beach. The location was ideal both for public access for putting in our jet ski and also close to downtown for shopping and taking in area attractions. We also appreciated all the amenities: kitchen gadgets (blender, toaster, coffee maker etc.) plenty of towels and washcloths in multiple bathrooms, and smart TV for movie night. Thank you for a fun filled vacation!
Great place for families.
Good location, roomy house, and a very nice lake
Lake Latoka 2019 Family Vacation
Graystone is a very spacious home for 7 adults and 3 young children. The kitchen is well stocked and roomy for cooking and dining. We found everything inside and outside to be as described on-line. A favorite of the grandchildren, ages 4, 5 and 6 was the playground equipment. We enjoyed boat rides, caught fish for a fish fry and had nightly bonfires. The owners were timely in their responsive to our requests and questions.
Perfect for our family
The house was just as in the pictures. It had the right number of bedrooms for all our family and the outdoor space was great for our toddlers and our older girls. We enjoyed using the pontoon and some of the kids swam in the lake. The house was clean and decorated nicely. We had space to be all together and to also have some alone time. We used the upstairs dining area for a celebration meal. We could have use a little more space for all of us but we made it work.
Great place to stay
My friends and I had a great time staying here. The cabin was updated and clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the lake view was beautiful. We especially liked the large pontoon boat. I would highly recommend, especially for a larger group.
Alexandria boasts an antique boat museum with a beautiful attached landscaped nature garden filled with perennial plants grown in a hardy winter zone. An abandoned railroad trestle provides miles of walking biking trails in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. Several golf courses can challenge those par and over par golfers. Winter is an opportunity for cross country skiing and down hill skiing at Andes Tower Hills. Winter also provides a great opportunity for ice fishing or sitting by a cozy fireside enjoying a wonderful snowfall.
