This home is a beautifully restored and updated historic farmhouse from 1902, located in the heart of downtown St. Helena and just steps away from local restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms and shopping. It boasts a tastefully furnished 700 square foot wrap around covered porch great for coffee and the morning paper and of course perfect for relaxing in the afternoon and evening with a glass of wine. It has two bedrooms complete with their own private bathrooms. The house has a fully equipped kitchen that includes a large pantry housing wine coolers and plenty of wine storage. There is a seperate dining area off the kitchen for more formal dining. The living room is a comfortable place to curl up and watch television or a movie, and when it's chilly there's a beautiful gas fireplace to enjoy. The farmhouse also has a fully equipped laundry room with a washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and plenty of storage.
The property also includes four brand new, classic beach cruisers for cruising around town and visiting the local restaurants, shops and tasting rooms.
The house is located in a quiet family oriented neighborhood. Loud noise and unruly behavior is not permitted on the property. Tenants are required to respect our neighbors and home.
We stayed here twice. 2 weeks in 2015, a whole month in 2016. Beautifully appointed Home, well cared for and charming. Walk to town. Fall leaves. Central location for touring Healdsburg, Guyserville, Alexander Valley as well as Napa region and all it has to offer. Cool off on the wrap around porch, light a candle. Enjoy the beautiful and interesting yard with feeder for Johnnie and Victorian birdhouse.
We have used VRBO for years and typically rent 3-4 properties a year. NEVER have I written a review because the properties were as expected. However, property 736417 was exemplary and DESERVES a raving review. From the moment we pulled up front we were impressed with the property and the work the owners had put in. No details were missed, from decorating to fit and finish the home is a great example of how to take an older house and make it into an attractive property where people want to be. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked with equipment. The sitting areas are comfortable. The porch is a dream place to be. The owner has provided nice bikes to ride. The ladies in our traveling group described the decorations as perfect well done. The owners were very responsive and have a property manager 50 feet away that can take care of any unforeseen issue. Don't hesitate to rent this property!
Spectacular home with all the amenities in the absolute perfect location. Walking distance to wonderful groceries (Sunshine Foods), Restaurants (TraVigne, Cook, Cindy's, Market, etc...) shopping and striking distance by car to all the wonderful Napa wineries.
My wife, mother and I loved our stay here. The property is beautifully decorated with a great outdoor terrace. It is a pleasure to be within walking distance to St. Helena. There is a great supermarket that could not be closer and the kitchen is well equipped although we mostly ate out for dinner. I would definitely recommend!
We stayed at this lovely home and from the moment we parked the car, we felt at home. The owners have clearly spent a large amount of time carefully designing and decorating this farmhouse-style downtown home. The wrap-around porch was a great place to chat, have a glass of wine, or enjoy an afternoon nap. Each room was comfortable and clean, and included luxurious details with linens, furnishings, etc. Several times we walked to town for St. Helena's amazing restaurants and felt like locals as we meandered back home afterwards. We will definitely be back for another stay!
This cute home was a real find. The owner was so easy to work with, answering our emails and questions within the same day. The house is beautiful and spotless both inside and out, and obviously a lot of thought was put into the decor and amenities provided. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen well stocked. Our favorite area was the huge porch with the awesome sectional sofa! We had coffee there each morning and wine in the evenings. Downtown was a quick 5-minute walk so we ate dinner at one of the many great restaurants there almost every night. We highly recommend this home. Everything about it was amazing!
The house is just a block off of Main Street where you will find great restaurants, tasting rooms and shopping. Everything is within walking distance.
