Fun for all ages
We were pleasantly impressed by this property. The functionality of the house was perfect. We hosted a family vacation, with multiple generations, seamlessly. 2 bedrooms on the main level were occupied by our eldest members of the family. The 4 bedrooms upstairs were spacious with plenty of room to host the rest of us. Late night shenanigans occurred in the basement with a competitive game of pool or even outside playing corn hole or ping pong. The open garage concept (the garage door opens to the backyard) was key! While sitting at the pool, you could quickly check on your laundry, use the bathroom or grab a drink from the second refrigerator. We had plenty of seating by the pool whether it was to lay in the sun or shade or to sit and eat a meal or read a newspaper. The pool was just the right size for the kids to jump around and have fun or to relax on a float and soak up the summer sun. The location of this house is on point. Everyday we walked a 1/2 mile to the private beach on Shinnecock Bay to feel the ocean breeze. Some of our guests went fishing or just relaxed in the sand. I spent my mornings at the local supermarkets which were close by so that I could get fresh food daily. Also, close by are bagel stores, liquor stores, a butcher, farm stand, beverage store, pizza, gas station and great restaurants. This is our 3rd summer renting in the Hamptons and we all agreed this was by far the best one. The house was equipped with Sonos speakers which was nice to be able to enjoy music outside by the pool, in the upstairs master when getting ready, in the kitchen/main level and in the basement. There were plenty of blankets, pillows, towels, and hangers. Some bedrooms even had luggage racks. There were pool floats, beach chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, games, tools and all kinds of accessories that you could need. There was a gas fire pit that was fun to make s’mores at night and a Weber BBQ for cooking meals. The landscaping was beautiful and at times you felt like you were surrounded by velvet trees. The pool was serviced several times so we never had to worry about it. The garbage was picked up 2x a week which helped a lot since we had a lot of garbage. The landscaper came regularly as well and was quick and efficient. The owners were easy to communicate with and responsive to text and/or email. This house is a sure thing and won’t disappoint. We hope to be back again one day.
