Another great girls weekend!

My cousin and I had an awesome girls weekend at the cottage! The lake is nice and quiet. We spent hours every day just floating in the lake. Thanks for another great stay!

Relaxing family time

Very nice lake house and clean and well stocked. Hope to return again next year. There was some confusion on using the rowboat so hopefully we will be able to explore the other connecting lakes next time. We really enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful

We had a great weekend stay. The place was quiet and comfortable, and a perfect and peaceful “home base” for our trip. Communication was easy. The view from the porch was serene. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful Weekend

My husband and I spent a relaxing weekend at this wonderful property. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We so enjoyed the big window in the kitchen with its view of the lake. Our host Angela was very responsive whenever we reached out. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

Peaceful and restful

Nice, simple property with all the basics. Appreciated being able to eat in/cook as we wanted. Lovely deck overlooking the water to enjoy your morning coffee. Relaxing place. Close to Culver and Plymouth. Enjoyed our time there.

Blueberry Festival

We were in the area as vendors for the 2021 blueberry festival. We chose this house because it looks like something to be great to come home to and relax and socialize with our fellow vendors e were correct greyhound great house clean kitchens well stocked bedrooms were comfortable.

Weekend visit

This property was great for our quick visit to Culver. We didn't get to spend as much time at the house as we would have liked so we will have to make plans to go back. The backyard and lake were very serene - but the weather wasn't cooperating to fully enjoy it. House was well supplied and had everything we needed.

Perfect Spot for a Quick Getaway!

What a perfect retreat! The house itself is quaint, cozy, clean, and comfortable. Don’t worry about the wifi - it wasn’t strong but who cares?! It did the job for a bit of FaceTime. The best part, though, is the dock and the lake. We loaded up a laundry basket and set up camp on the floating dock. We took a spin in the kayaks and floated around on the lake, but nothing compared to chilling on the floating dock. Perfect perfect perfect.

Quiet getaway

We enjoyed this quiet, peaceful property on Holem Lake. The owners provided large and small floats, kayaks, fishing poles, and a row boat. It was nice not to have to bring anything ourselves. The porch is quite roomy and offers a really nice view of the water from up high. The beds were all comfortable, the air conditioners were efficient, and everything we needed for cooking was there. When we had questions, Angela was very responsive, and she even followed up the next day to make sure things were still going well. Perfect getaway for us!

A perfect stay

We had the pleasure of staying in this charming little cottage, and it truly was a perfect experience. The property was clean and well-maintained, the beds were comfortable. While there was only one bathroom, it was perfectly adequate for the three of us. The location of the cottage was ideal for Culver families. It suited our needs perfectly and allowed us to easily attend school activities. One of the highlights of this property was the firepit and the picturesque lake in the backyard. Although we didn't have much time to enjoy these amenities due to our busy schedule, they added to the overall charm of the place. We hope to return for our next visit, and we'll have more time to relax and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. On top of it all, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the house. His hospitality and warmth made our stay even more enjoyable. We can't recommend this place enough and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Easy weekend on the lake

This house is a short drive to the Culver Academies campus and is perfect for a quick weekend on the lake. We brought our canoe and fishing gear and really enjoyed the water. However, the house has two kayaks with paddles and life jackets as well as fishing gear so there is no need to pack your own. The lake is lovely with lots of lily pads. It is small but connects to a larger lake so there is plenty of room to explore. Or you can just sit on the deck and enjoy the view. Also, there is a large oak tree just outside the kitchen window so you can watch the busy squirrels while sipping your morning coffee. We had a couple of small snags during our stay and Angela was super responsive about them. Even though one turned out to be a false alarm on our part. :) She is a great host and we'd stay here again.

Very quaint lake house

Our stay was perfect. The home provided all necessary amenities and we were pleasantly surprised by other useful resources. Clean and charming in a remote community. We hope to go back in the near future.

Great Lake view

The property had everything we needed for our stay. Our family had a great Memorial Day weekend! Thought we were going to need to cook food inside and the neighbor came over and replaced the propane tank so that was fantastic.

A Wonderful Retreat

The property was just as described. A quiet atmosphere with everything you could need, plus more. Everything was great except the weather. We started catching some nice redear and a few crappie and then the weather was typical Indiana .We will definitely be back. Thank you for a nice week.

Lovely home on the lake

My husband and I traveled to the area, and we rented this beautiful home on the lake with a friend of ours. It was perfect for the three of us. We enjoyed the canoe, and the fishing dock. The kitchen was well-stocked in the home was nicely decorated.

This was a much needed getaway

Very relaxing and peaceful being right on the lake. View from the deck was awesome fall scene. We loved kayaking and using the row boat. Enjoyed the fire pit long after we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows with the moon shimmering on the water! House was clean and well stocked with everything one would need, very impressed. Thank you very much and we appreciate your sharing and opening up your cozy lake house to us. We definitely will be back. All of us left feeling refreshed and had a lot of fun. The house was welcoming and the water crafts were fun .The area it self has a lot to offer and within an hours drive or less you can extend your activities. Would stay at this home again!

Super tranquil

The lake house has amazing views and very few people in the area. During the 3 days that we paddled around the lakes, we only saw 2 other boats on the lake. Later in the day there were a few more but not many. We used the kayaks and row boat and so grateful that the owner made it available to use. We spent a great deal of time just relaxing on the deck, living the view. We spotted an eagle and a few herons. We brought a speaker, our own chairs and a little table to hold our drinks for the deck. The internet service is bad, so I used my phone to play music from the speaker. We didn’t swim because we couldn’t figure out how to get past the sea weed and lily pads. This is a great place to escape from reality. I think it was the most peaceful vacations I’ve ever had. We loved it!
