House was exactly as listed. The beds were comfortable, the view was beautiful, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. There were notes and easy to follow instructions regarding all necessary information (WiFi, lights, etc.)

Owners made it easy!

Beautiful views, accurate listing, easy check-in, responsive owner. This was a warm June stay, and the home has a lovely deck with room for all! Good experiences with kitchen, barbeque, outdoor furniture, wifi, and even air conditioning! Simple instructions to get to the property.

Great stay

The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The check in process was very easy and the property managers communicated well. The location and view from the back deck is amazing and the worth the stay by itself. We saw deer every morning. The neighbor is in a great spot and very quiet. We would stay there again.

Cabin in the pines with a great patio

We stayed for a long weekend over Easter and had a great time enjoying the view and playing games around the kitchen table. There was plenty of room to accommodate 6 adults and two teenagers. Home was clean and stocked fairly well.

Time with family

Loved the property! Location was great; nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Patio was the best part…great views! Nicer than I had anticipated. The owners/managers keep it up nicely! Only 1 concerning thing…2 black widow spiders were in the house. One on top of son’s bed and they have a 1-yr old. Other in the bathroom. May need an expert to locate how they are getting in.

Great Summer Getaway

We selected this property because of the view and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching for the deer. The interior is well kept and very comfortable. The area has a lot to offer. Our dog enjoyed walking Tall Timbers Park. We will absolutely be back.

A great get away.

The location of this nice little cabin is perfectly placed near the national forest. We took our side by side up with us for a day of exploring the national forest. Woke up on Saturday morning and had breakfast at Woodside Cafe and then headed out from there. Stopped on our way back to the cabin at Red Onion for a great burger and watched the Diamond Backs game 2 of the World Series. Woke up Sunday morning to see deer bedded down on the property.

Cute cabin, horrible beds

The cabin was lovely. But the beds were absolutely terrible. They felt like sleeping on concrete, except for one of the twons which felt like spring coils. We tried multiple beds over a couple of nights and didnt get any rest due to how uncomfortable they were. We ended up cutting thr trip short one night because we couldnt do another night of no sleep. Master bathroom has no light above the shower so it was a little dark. As well as the showers were a bit tight encolsed. There were some strands of hair left in the bathroom sink in the master bath. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, grill was great, and couches were comfortable in the living room. Back porch was wonderful for viewing the stars at night and sunset. Would have loved to stay the full time, but just couldnt do another night of those beds.

Beautiful location, comfortable and clean home with gorgeous views!

This was the perfect getaway from the Phoenix heat! The property was easy to get to, yet tucked away! Beautiful views from the deck, very comfortable, and incredibly clean home. The hosts quickly responded to our questions; the property description is spot-on. Hosts provided easy-to-follow directions to the property as well as arrival and departure instructions! We enjoyed our trips to Woods Canyon and Willow Springs lakes; the rain and the cooler temperatures were a welcome change from the Valley! We highly recommend; Liz and Gary are fantastic hosts!

Outstanding home w/AMAZING views!

As frequent travelers, we’ve stayed at many, many rentals over the years so trust me when I say that this home is one of THE best vacation rentals we’ve ever experienced. The location is amazing being situated on the high end of a hill beside the small air park which gives spectacular views of the hills/valley/town below. The very large deck and “wall of windows” on the south side of the house give you the incredible views whether you’re inside or out. Oh and did I mention the nighttime views?? Absolutely spectacular spot to stare out at the twinkling stars and relax like a pro! The house was impeccably clean upon arrival and was stocked with absolutely EVERYTHING you could possibly need in the kitchen. All the light switches were labeled so none of that guessing game you frequently encounter in a rental. The beds and bedding were very high quality and we slept like babies. The furniture in the living room was ample, also very high quality and very comfortable. I’m also a big fan of the “House Book” owners do to give you all the basic info about the house that you need. Don’t see those much anymore but they did not disappoint THIS traveler when I spotted the binder on the table when I walked in. Truly a fantastic property in every way and we would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone. Thank you, Gary & Liz….you definitely raise the bar!

Total Relaxation!!

House was wonderful! Comfortable couches and beds! Kitchen had everything you could need including crockpot and rice cooker. Deck was fabulous, spent most of our time there. Our 2 Bichons enjoyed the deck also (totally enclosed, so we didn't have to worry about them wondering off). Neighborhood was super quiet, didn't see anyone around and when you're on the deck you feel like you're miles from civilization. Bring your supplies with you, closest Walmart is an hour away. Dollar General is conveniently close for last minute items, even fresh fruit & vegetables. Couldn't be more pleased with our stay here and would love to return.

Nice View

The house is nice and the view from the back deck is beautiful. Some things in the home could use upgrades or repairs, some boards on the side of the deck are rotted and sink down an inch or more when stepped on. The ice maker in the fridge didn't work or wasn't hooked up but there were two ice trays to use. The screen on the microwave is so faded that it's hard to read what it says to be able to use it. One of the beds in the loft was very wobbly when sat or laid on, like all the screws needed to be tightened up. A few of the windows wouldn't open or were difficult to get open. The home itself is nice and the location is absolutely beautiful but for almost $400 a night I expected more. Just a few repairs and/or upgrades and this would be an excellent place to stay. There were little soaps, toothpastes and shampoos provided in the bathrooms which was nice and the communication with the owner was always quick and cordial.

Everything we needed

Our family and friends got together for Christmas and were excited for several days together and lounging. The views are amazing. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space. We were able to spread out when needed and stay cozy. Doing a walmart stop on the way up was ideal. And the market right up the street had odds and ends we needed last minute. Hosts were very responsive with the questions we had and accommodating when we had a last minute scheduling issue. Finally, the community is closed enough where we could go for a walk, with a 7 year old and a dog on a leash and not worry about car traffic. Would return.

Great location with great views, not too close to neighbors. Deer every evening and morning in the front of the house. House was clean upon arrival and very cozy, was great to be able to just arrive and relax. Would love to stay at this property again in the future.

My husband and I have been married for 29 years, and have called Glendale Az. our home for 28 years . We have been visiting Overgaard for 15 years, after searching all of Northern Az. for several years we decided Overgaard was the place for us and our family. We purchased our first cabin in Overgaard in 2004. We have always wanted a cabin with amazing views and when we saw this one we knew we had to have it. We plan to retire to Overgaard in the future, having grown to love the area over the years.

Beautiful views, nice neighborhood rear deck is very private since the chalet is situated on 2.5 acres. Front porch is below street level. Elk and deer regularly visit the chalet, we are always updating and keeping the chalet fresh and clean.

Rear deck with the view of mountains and ponderosa trees with cool breeze, is amazing. Our neighborhood has a HOA, all lots in the subdivision are taken care of regualarly.
