Great place to stay!

The house is HUGE, beautiful and very clean. Host was really nice, helpful and informative. Neighborhood is nice and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Memorial for my dad

My dad passed and we had to travel from Texas. We wanted to stay together so we could offer each other support. The home offered enough room for everyone.

Roomy House

We were very please with the house in Matteson. I reached out to the contact prior to our trip to discuss some questions I had, and Pam was very helpful, informative, and gracious. The house was stocked with everything we needed, including shampoo. It is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, but very close to major roads. We were extremely impressed with how clean the house was. With several bedrooms and 2 living rooms, we had plenty of space. We definitely recommend staying here.

Some disappointment in the south burbs

The good news was that the property manager was terrific and very accommodating. The bad news was that the property, while updated, had some issues. The squeaky floors alone were enough to drive you crazy. Add the fact that after one person showered (we had six) there was no hot water, very poor lighting in several rooms, heating issues and it was less than perfect. On the bright side there was plenty of room.

Misrepresentation

The house was large and clean but had a noticeable foul smell. The kitchen was stocked with dirty and old utensils; the microwave was dirty; had used mouthwash and other products in the bathrooms plus the shower curtain were were not clean. The smart tvs were small and even had tape on the remote control labeled for the master bedroom. Had window units air conditioners ( not central air conditioning). Had an ADT security panel but couldn’t use it because Pam said she didn’t want to give out the code. The bathrooms were not handicap accessible such as no grab bars. Be aware of no ergress for the basement if something happened plus, it would be difficult for EMR to get a person out of the basement plus the large tv in the basement didn’t work. Overall, the accommodations and amenities were quite poor without safety measures. My family only stayed one night and moved to a local Holiday Inn. I have requested a refund.

Girls Trip

I had reached out to the Host 3 days before to inquire about the check in process, no reply. When we arrived I attempted to call the host number didn’t work. I had to call VRBO Evolve and communicate with her through them. Then the 4 digit code to be put in the janky lock on the door to get the key was almost impossible after fiddling with it for a good 5 - 10 minutes we finally got in. The house did not have central air which was not a big deal except it was 90 degrees out and very stuffy in the house, once we went around to every room and turned the window air conditioners, floor and ceiling fans on the house cooled down. It would have been nice if this had been already on prior to our arrival. There was a covered patio outside with no patio set which was a disappointment we sat around a tiny resin table with folding chairs and plastic chairs. There has not been any yard work or maintenance done on the outside of the house all summer. It rained and the gutters were overflowing with water and debris. There was a car across the street from the house that had their headlights on all night and someone was sitting in the car all night. This was very creepy.this is not the first time my friends and I have rented a house and we were not impressed. We actually left a day early. We had gotten together for a concert and wanted to stay close to the Venue in Tinley Park and as far as location it was perfect. For what we paid to stay we expected more.

The host was very cordial and easy to talk to. The was a smell in the kitchen, but after running the dishwasher, it disappeared.

Good stay

We enjoyed out time at this property. It's got a few quirks but we loved the back sitting area. We did have an issue with some rain seeping into the basement while we were there but the owner was very responsive and obviously could do nothing about torrential rain :) We would stay here again, very conveniently located to shopping, highways and parks.

Bright & comfy

the propety was easy to get to from Belmoral Park, Pam was easy to contact for misc. incidents and needs. Would prefer better sheets and mattress coverings (plastic covering on beds made for sweaty nights), prefer central air for better air circulation and yard needs a good cleaning and pruning(. Dead plants at front door) Parking was adequate for dually truck . Quiet neighborhood.

Not as it appears in photos!

We recently stayed in this home in Matteson Illinois from July 26-July 29. We would rate this home as fair. This home is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a lot of comfortable living space and plenty of beds to accommodate everyone in our party. The host was nice and checked to make sure we had easy access to the home. This home was in a good location for us to attend a wedding nearby. There are some upgrades such as new flooring and some nice furniture, but there is a need for a lot more upgrades in the home. The dishwasher did not work and there wasn’t a toaster in the home. There were some electrical cords that were exposed and hanging across or down the walls which could be a danger for young children. The rooms were generally clean but a more thorough look showed the windows and curtains hadn’t been washed in a long time. The baseboards in the bathrooms had dried caulking smeared on them as though the tile was unprofessionally put in. One of the bedrooms had the air conditioning unit, the light, and the television all on the same switch. The taller queen bed has a step to gain access, and that should be revealed in the description of the home. There was a lot of miscellaneous stuff in the closets and cupboards that need to be cleaned out. Dish towels were not provided so drying dishes was a challenge. It would have been nice to have a couple more bath towels also. The television in the room with the king bed was too low to watch while lying in bed. The backyard is a good size with a covered deck and could be made usable with some chairs and maybe even a grill. Access to the backyard was a challenge as we had to move and tie off the window covering, figure out how to unlock the lock located at the bottom and get the sliding door open. This is an older home, in a nice neighborhood, but should really be upgraded before renting it out as a vacation rental. We would not stay in this home again and would not recommend it to anyone.
