Private Spacious Modern Potrero Garden Oasis Suite

Stay in a hotel-style full-floor guest suite located in sunny Potrero Hill, minutes away from Mission and SOMA, 15 minutes from the airport, close to the freeway, and well-connected to the rest of the city.

Relax in our backyard which has lovely lemon and magnolia trees - a rarity in SF and a true oasis

The suite has a plush memory foam mattress and a sofa that can be converted to a bed. Enjoy the premium snacks, teas, coffee, and drinks.
Watch unlimited Netflix and Amazon Prime Video on the TV!


The newly-renovated guest suite is spacious (630 sq ft) and is located on a separate floor from the rest of the home. There is a private entrance through the garage and a shared entrance through the main door.
You will self-check-in using a Schlage smart door lock, and we will provide you with a door code that will be valid during your stay. You can check-in anytime.
You will need to go up one flight of stairs to access the suite

Every care is taken to ensure that every single part of the guest suite is thoroughly disinfected between stays.

There's plenty of street parking available, so parking won't be a problem. This neighborhood is one of the safest in the city and our block hasn't experienced a car break-in in 15 years!

Our backyard is truly special. It has two levels and many beautiful flowering plants and vegetable/fruit plants including a huge lemon tree with hundreds of lemons (please pick some!). You can relax on the upper level which receives a ton of sunlight (most of the year).

The queen bed features an extremely comfortable memory foam mattress with four pillows

The couch can be converted into a bed that can comfortably sleep two adults. The TV has Chromecast, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and an HDMI cable for your convenience.

We provide a generous offering of premium snacks from Whole Foods including granola bars, nuts, and chips. You can also make coffee (using the Keurig coffee machine) as well as a selection of high-end Mighty Leaf teas. The fridge comes stocked with water, La Croix, iced teas/coffees, sodas, etc. We're more than happy to provide more snacks/drinks/etc if you want more!

The private ensuite bathroom was recently renovated and has a spacious bathtub, Dove soaps, shampoos, towels, etc.

The guest suite is professionally cleaned between guests. No need to clean dishes or anything else.

The bookshelf has many books on a wide variety of topics. We provide brochures and information about San Francisco attractions, but please feel free to reach out to us if you need additional help!

The WiFi router is located in the bedroom to ensure the highest internet speed and signal strength and is located on the bedstand in the bedroom.

Note that the guest suite *does not* come with access to a full kitchen.

You can leave luggage in our garage after/before your stay but please let us know beforehand.

No smoking of any kind (including vaping) is allowed in our home, backyard, or on the sidewalk directly outside. No exceptions.

The accommodation was very clean and the check in and access was very easy. It is essentially a basement ADU and you walk right by the primary living quarters of the family. The bed was only a double and you could hear the residents every move.

Well kept. Responsive host. Good neighborhood.

The hosts are very responsive and friendly. The apartment was comfortable and clean and in a safe charming location. The streets around the property are hilly and very steep. The kitchen has a microwave and fridge, no cooktop or oven. All the windows are on one wall in the living room/kitchenette area and they face an outside wall, so there is no view. But they did a great job with the lighting, so it is not at all dark. The bedroom is a separate area, but not fully enclosed. The apartment has charm.

Lovely garden area

We enjoyed the room and garden area! The garden was lovely, if a wee bit messy :) But the plants were well cared for and the furniture was comfy and relaxing!

Lovely San Francisco Neighborhood!

The place was perfect! We ate breakfast in the top patio on an outdoor sofa every morning with the beauty of the sky, and lemon and lime trees. We loved the views in walking through the neighborhood. Public transportation is nearby and the place has everything we needed to feel comfortable!

Top of Potrero Hill

Fantastic booking. Great communicator. Enter front door w code. First time might be slightly shy-feeling since your door is within sight of the private quarters of their upstairs… Next entry (once you go out the back/side door will lead you back through the garage to the front door again… You can use that the rest of the time. But if you feel weird when you know they know you’ll be doing that first entry… then it’s just in your head. These hosts never made us feel unwelcome. In fact quite the opposite. Even with the first entry, you never feel like you’re intruding. The host is wonderfully responsive and even let us check in early so we didn’t need to leave our bags in the car. (Beware - in SF if you leave your bags in the car you’ll probably get them stolen.) The host was only able to allow us to do this because the room was vacant the night before and the host was gracious. Please do not expect this of them. But it just goes to show how helpful and communicative they were when we reached out w questions. Unit was a private studio (maybe able to call a 1br apartment I think), tasetefully decorated. Lots of amenities for almost every guest including dishes and even some books on local tourism for newbies. Simple rules to follow (and very reasonable) listed in a binder, which also provided local eateries. Close to Chase Center for concerts, close to mission and Castro, and short Uber ride to SOMA & downtown. Will be booking again. Great place to stay.

Comfortable neighborhood guest suite with nice amenities

Ideal suite in a safe and walkable neighborhood was comfortable and well furnished. It was a great base while attending a conference and going to dinner. Very comfortable and clean. Host left tasty snacks and beverages and was available fur any questions.parking is easy to find andthr neighborhood has stunning views of the city. Highly recommend & would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and safe.

First of all, our host was amazing. He was so quick to reply to any questions I had. Cleanliness is really important to me, and we were pleased overall. He had several things available for us, like fresh water, creamer, coffee, snacks, etc. we were told to notify him if we needed anything else. The beds were comfortable, and the place is very cozy. We were also allowed to use the garage to store our luggage, until after my daughter’s wedding. This unit is located in a quiet and safe area of San Francisco, and Uber drivers picked us up right in front of his home. Eateries are fairly close. There are hills, but they are manageable and make for great exercise after a meal! We loved taking in the views on our way to get lunch. Book here if you’re looking for a great spot to stay while exploring San Francisco! You won’t be disappointed!

A Room On A Hill

Nice room, located on a hill, with lots of stairs. Walking around the neighborhood was an up and down hill challenge, so bring your hiking shoes to get a good view. We left a note in the owners book, after we resolved the dingy-gray towels issue but we couldn't resolve the gnats within. Unit needs a convection cooktop (single unit) for renters use and a real lock on the door leading downstairs into the rental. Otherwise, our short stay was okay.

Just what we needed in San Fran

A nice guest suite in the hills of San Francisco, clean, well supplied and larger than expected. High quality linens and comfy bed. Loved the clever Wi-Fi scan to connect. Hosts were extra gracious and let us secure our expensive bikes in their garage.

Potrero Hill Stay in San Fran

The place was clean and in a good neighborhood. The owner was very informative and easy to communicate with. As it stated in the description when I booked it, the suite is attached to the owners house. It is like a basement that is well furnished to include a bathroom, shower and tub. It could use a sink for washing dishes. Also, the TV was extremely slow and hard to pull up movies to watch. I’m not sure if it was a TV or the Comcast that was connected to the TV. However, overall I very much enjoyed my stay here and recommend it.

Convenient, and quiet neighborhood

this is a compact studio-ish apartment in the lower level of a single family home. it is amazingly clean. access to the freeways is easy. there are several neighborhood restaurants and markets nearby. we also found a nice bakery, Neighborhood bakehouse on 3rd street. the city speaks for itself. Early February is not a great time to visit, but it was fine, a little cold and rainy, as is usual in SF. The only potential negative is the parking. We did fine, but it is a bit tight. It just has a potential to be a bother. we were generally able to park right in front of our lodging. It just made my better half a bit nervous. I would recommend this property for any short-term stay. the lack of laundry and a little more full kitchen would have been helpful for a longer stay.

Authentic Experience

We enjoyed staying in this guest suite so much! The check in instructions were simple to follow. The owner was quick to respond to messages and went above and beyond in his responses. Staying in this spot gave us the experience of living in San Francisco. The location was perfect. The home was super clean and comfortable. The decorations were charming. If I were to return to San Francisco, I would definitely stay here!

Great quiet neighboorhodd from which to explore

This is certainly not the "tourist" SF. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood but has easy access to the rest of the city. Oracle Park and the Chase Center are both less than 2 miles away. We loved our stay. 10/10 would do it again. A kitchen would have been nice, though.
