The Serendipity beach house is Back and is Better than ever with a COMPLETE REMODEL finished April 2024. Located one hundred feet from the Gulf of Mexico, you will enjoy spectacular views throughout this multilevel luxury home. The view from the rooftop porch will take your breath away.
One of North Captiva Island’s Best vacation homes, the Serendipity beach house is a luxury four bedroom three and half bath home that will sleep up to ten guests. This amazing home has it all! From the moment you arrive you will be mesmerized by the wonderful appointments, furnishings, amenities and sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico. The home has 2800 square feet under a/c with more than 4000 square feet of living space including open and screen decks. Thoughtful planning and design have gone into the remodeling of this wonderful home. If you want comfort and luxury, Serendipity is your spot for your next vacation.
Serendipity features a private heated pool with two pool loungers on the sun shelf and pool bar. This home was built for island living and set up for large multi-generational families or couples’ retreat. No details have been missed. North Captiva is an amazing place to explore, and Serendipity is equipped with two brand new (April 2024) 4-seater golf carts to explore the island.
You will find there is plenty to do while staying at Serendipity. Along with the heated pool, games, books, beach towels and beach chairs are provided. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and lots of quartz counter space to work. The home has 5 Smart TV’s including one at the pool area. You will not want to leave this amazing place. There is plenty of room to stretch out with a game area, living room, many porches and a lovely pool area. Also, enjoy a fabulous roof top deck for sunrise and sunset views. This deck has cable railings for unobstructed viewing.
The sleeping arrangements are top notch with two master (king bedrooms) suites with private baths and access to the outside porches. Bedroom three features two twin beds which can be converted into a king. Bedroom four features a queen and set of bunk beds.
Membership to the Island Club is included with your stay. The amenities at the Island Club include two large pools as well as complimentary use of kayaks and bikes, which are first come first serve.
We do have cameras at the entry of our home.

Would love to keep this gem to myself. It's that good. Cannot beat the location and view - steps from the beach. The house itself was clean, well equipped with everything you need for cooking and the beach, has screened-in porches to protect from the bugs, the best WiFi we have had on the island, and lots of room to spread out for a group of 9-10. The pool was perfect and we loved the bar area and outdoor tv for March Madness. The property manager, realtor and owners were all kind, helpful and made sure that we had a wonderful visit. This was our favorite house and group to work with thus far on North Captiva and we can't wait to come back!

Well I love this house so much I don’t even want to share it but I can’t be that selfish. From the views to the accommodations this house is absolutely perfect for a family or a couple say celebrating their retirement?! We watched both the sunrise and the sunset from the fourth level balcony. Swam in the pool everyday and enjoyed the views from inside and out! The owners put a lot of thought and effort into making this the most perfect getaway and we’re so grateful to them for their efforts! Perfect beach house!

Our family has visited North Captiva four times and this is by far our favorite home of all! It’s a gorgeous retreat and so beautifully decorated. The property managers were very helpful and knowledgeable. The home is spacious with plenty of natural light. The views were spectacular from all levels. Everyone’s favorite spot was the loft area overlooking the beach where we could spot dolphins in the mornings and around sunset. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The upper deck was perfect for stargazing. The house is very well equipped with everything from kitchenware to beach gear. There is a bar area by the pool with a TV and an outdoor shower to keep the sand outside. The home includes two really great golf carts which were so much fun! We can’t wait to go back!

Great property

This was a perfect location and layout for our two families (4 adults, 4 kids). The house was really nice and clean, great kitchen space and several areas to relax or play. Great location and quick walk to the beach. The pool was one of the nicest we've stayed at and the house had everything we needed. Best house we've rented in our 4 visits.

Everything we Needed and Enjoyed!

The house had everything we needed for our week's stay. From bedrooms, baths, living spaces, pool and bar area, grill area and above all gorgeous ocean views from the entire second floor and the loveseats above and of course the top deck!

Our family of nine stayed in this incredible Captiva Island home, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The layout is so well thought out that we could spread out when we needed a little quiet time without ever feeling disconnected or anti-social. Fantastic Family Spring Break

We (two families w school aged kids) had such a great time on North Captiva! Serendipity is well located with great views and is clean and comfortable. The layout worked very well for our two families with plenty of room to spread out in smaller groups but also large, comfortable spaces for when we came together as a group. We only have good things to say!!

Vacation 2019

We have rented on North Captiva a few times when the kids were young. Now they are adults and we came back. The place was wonderful and it was nice on the hot days to come back and relax at the pool. The views are the best from on top and location was great. The staff was amazing checking on our every need.

It was Serendipitous that we found this house after VRBO double-booked our original house!

We enjoyed the comfort of watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from Serendipity. This house has spectacular views of the Gulf of America and the rest of North Captiva. Denise the owner was in constant contact with us accommodating our every need including the ones we had for our Grandchildren. (5 months and 3 years) This house is beautiful inside and out and has every comfort you want for a dream vacation. Kale and Sarah Dudding the property managers were very attentive and available 24/7 with any questions. We will return to relax and enjoy Serendipity with the whole family next year. This was one of our best trips to the Island.

Great remote island getaway!

This was an awesome spot. The island is beautiful and full of wildlife. It’s remote and adventurous. The house was excellent. Clean and nicely decorated. The pool is great! It’s one of the few screened in pools on the island, allowing us to swim when the mosquitos are out! Loved everything about this trip! Thank you!

Great location and beautiful house

This was our first time to North Captiva. We had a great experience. The house was very clean and in great condition. The property management service from Tortuga was excellent and responsive. The house is in a great location next to the beach with views of the sunset and sunrise at the top of the house daily. We have stayed at multiple houses in the Sanibel/Captiva area and this house is one of the best. We will definitely be going back.

2nd year staying on the Island but best experience ever!!!

This is by far the best house we have ever stayed in and we have been vacationing up and down the Florida coast for the last 10 years. The staff, Was welcoming, responsive and they even checked in on us several times just to ask if we needed anything. Tortuga is the best!!! The house was stocked just as if you were at your own home, we were impressed. Will definitely be staying here again next year. You can also tell the owner cares allot of their home , beautifully maintained and decorated.

Fantastic property on a beautiful island!

This was our first experience on North Captiva and it couldn't have been more memorable. The property is situated in an ideal part of the island: a few paces from the beach and only a few minutes from the island's center. Our family of 8 was able to comfortably enjoy ourselves and the conveniences Serendipity offered. Duncan & Laurie are a stellar team and were very responsive to all of our questions and requests. We will certainly be back!

Excellent getaway

If you are looking to unwind and relax, thus is a great place to do it. House was roomy, clean, beds were very comfortable. Super close to the beach and enjoyed the private pool. We had an amzing time disconnecting from our normally busy lives. Just an FYI, the few establishments on the island close early. If you're looking for night life, this is not the place. Our college aged kiddos had to adjust to this but it gave us fun game nights by the pool, watching sunsets, and reconnecting with our family.

Beautiful home on amazing North Captiva Island

North Captiva Island is an awesome vacation destination an Serendipity is the perfect house for your stay. My husband and I shared the house with two other couples. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed and anytime we did need something Duncan was right there to help. Serendipity is just a few steps from the beach and has great views from many levels. The heated pool and surrounding area are great with a bar and flat screen T.V. right there. We were able to watch football playoffs poolside! We also loved cruising around the island on golf carts and Serendipity has two. Relaxing in luxury

This beautifully decorated and fully stocked home was loaded with everything you could imagine needing. The mattresses are as comfortable as a Trump Hotel, which led to some very restful nights. The views from this home are the most beautiful I've seen. Being right next to the ocean, I could view both the sunrise and sunset as well as hear the tide rolling in and see dolphins swim by. The house was loaded with everything needed to prepare meals as well as a wine fridge. I enjoyed the design of the home which while allowing for hosting many people it provided private areas to retreat to. There were private decks off of two bedrooms, as well as one off the kitchen, one off the living room, another off of the loft and my favorite one on the roof. It does get a bit buggy there so it was nice to take cover in the many screened in areas, including the pool. It was also very easy exploring the island using the two provided golf carts. I would recommend this beautiful home for anyone wanting to enjoy the finer things and relax.

Beautiful Relaxing Getaway

We spent NYE at Serendipity and it was wonderful. North Captiva Island is one of the rare getaways in the domestic 48 states where you feel like like you're in another world. Each home is seriously with vegetation and the golf carts give it a paid back feel. Amazing shelling, nature preserve, long walks on the beach, and wildlife (lots of dolphins, manatees and birds). Access to the North Captiva Island Club gives you free bikes, kayaks, tennis rackets and access to courts and the pools. The house itself was great. Clean and spacious. Duncan and the management team are highly communicative and addressed the minor maintenance issues we encountered. From picking us up at the dock, to checking on us, to check out, all was smooth. The house is well stocked in the kitchen with Keurig, crock pot, blender, and everything you need for the week. The pool includes floats, some toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, etc. Everything you need. Perfect weather and trip away from the snow. Thank you!
