Amazing Remodel with 2 Beds, 2 Full Baths & Loft. Can Sleep up to 8 adults.

Our Flying Dutchman condominium is an 1100 sq. ft. home with two bedrooms, 2 full baths and a 2nd floor loft that includes two more "full size" beds. Including the queen sized sofa sleeper, it will sleep 8 people depending on their size, child and/or adult. The main floor provides good living space. We completely, remodeled the place to give it that ”rustic mountain-contemporary” finish. The remodeling includes, new hand trowel drywall texturing, designer paint, wood floors, hickory cabinets, slab granite counter tops, SS appliances, heated tile flooring in the bathrooms and kitchen, flat screen TV's and one with an X-Box for the kids in the loft. There are a number of extra lighting fixtures in the condo including, lights under the long bar, under the kitchen cabinets, over the small bar and many of the primary room light switches have dimmers too. There is a cozy gas fireplace with a blower to warm up after skiing. The fireplace switch is located on the left side of the fireplace. Visitors will find some board games in the cabinet under the bar too.

Guests at the Flying Dutchman can use the year-round-heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, community BBQ and sand volleyball court. There are walking paths through the community and surrounding attractions are abundant. Take a walk to the Snake River, just a short walk down the hidden trail beyond the sand volleyball court and across the road. During the Spring, Summer and Fall, find the Summit County paved bicycle trail system to discover amazing miles of scenic bicycle trails throughout Summit County, easily accessible from the Flying Dutchman. Bring the mountain bikes too! Mountain bike trails are extensive and are also easily ride-able from the condo. Just ride up Keystone Gulch Road to find the "Aqua Duct Trail"l, try the down hill bicycle course or take a scenic gondola ride to the Summit house for happy hour from the base of River Run Village.

Of course, let's not forget about the "world-class" skiing, snowboarding, tubing and other Winter Sports, right here at Keystone! Skiers will find a very short walk across our West parking lot, to the shuttle stop for a 7 minute shuttle ride over to the Mountain House, base of the Peru Lift. The base area around the Peru lift is a great area for families, beginners, children's ski school with the "magic carpet". The terrain park is just up the hill, and located below the Peru Lift ! Ski to the back side of the mountain, The Outback or River Run from here too. Easy mountain access. Don't forget the "Fireworks Show" on Saturday nights at River Run Village!

About Eileen or Steve

Steve and Eileen Charlett live in the Aurora, Colorado and have 4 sons, who have attended the Cherry Creek School District and college too. Eileen is a native Coloradan. She is a registered nurse with a BSN from Regis University and practicing in hospice care. She has been in health care industry for years and loves her work.

Steve is from a small town near Bloomington, Illinois. After graduating from Southern Illinois University, SIU Carbondale, ILL Steve moved to Denver in 1985.. Steve is Realtor in the Denver Metro area as well as the Summit County area where he can help clients to purchase a resort property or vacation home around the Keystone, Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon/Silverthorne or Copper Mountain areas.

Steve & Eileen purchased this Flying Dutchman Condominium in the June of 2013 from the Fred Bjornson Family of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the original Owner. The Flying Dutchman Condominiums were constructed in 1973 and this condo has hosted many, many guests over the years. "The Keystone area has some great history and these mountains are beautiful".

Steve & Eileen completely remodeled this condo to a very high standard. With slab granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, interior stone work and other natural finishes, this is a rustic-mountain-contemporary home that embodies the mountain vacation experience. The condo provides all of the popular amenities vacationers seek, with a year round, heated out-door swimming pool and quick access to many activities.

"We wanted that special place in the mountains to make some very special family memories". Keystone is just a little more secluded and removed from the hubbub of busier areas around Summit County but yet close enough to get into the middle of all the action, restaurants and activities.

What makes this condo unique

The Flying Dutchman Community is located right on the shuttle line for a quick ride to the ski lift as well as the bicycle trail system for summer bicycling adventures. Our ground floor condo has one of the largest decks, a grassy lawn area in Summer and direct access to the swimming pool & hot tub area. There are double doors to the deck, from both the living room and the 2nd bedroom. Take a short walk down to the Snake River for an amazing stroll along the river or to drop a line in to do some trout fishing.

Airport shuttle services like Colorado Mtn. Express (970-754-7433) transports passengers from Denver International Airport, (DIA) to the Flying Dutchman in Keystone. Once you arrive in Keystone local Taxi Services such as Jake's Mtn. Shuttle (970-401-0988) or High Mtn. Taxi (970-513-1111) will pick up passengers at the Flying Dutchman for transportation to local restaurants, grocery store, etc.

Convenient, comfy and clean!

We stayed at Steve and Eileen’s condo two times this 2018 ski season. My favorite part was the heated floors! This condo was very comfortable, and the bus stop was a short walk through the parking lot. This was so convenient if skiers wanted to hit the slopes at different times. The hot tub was maybe 20 yards right outside the patio. Since we love to cook, the kitchen was well stocked, had lots of spices, sharp knives, baggies, trash bags, etc and a lot of those little things that everyone can share because you only need it for a few days! The water was always hot for showers, and Steve responded in a timely manner when we needed extra towels, a broom and the gas for the grill replaced. We would rent here again! It is perfect for couples or a family or two ;) The only thing that could make this any better would be a washer and dryer, but it is right down the hall.

A Dozen or more Thoughtful Touches + 2 Beds in the Loft made this home special and work smoothly!

We chose this condo for the extra space provided by the Loft - so glad we did! - Perfect for kids to play video games and teenagers to sleep - Quietly and undisturbed!

We found so many very thoughtful touches, we know we found a gem in Keystone. Eileen and Steve have obviously worked hard to provide everything visitors need. We slept 6 each night - but cooked dinner for 13 - 6 times and it was ok.

On 1st impression, the condo did not feel like 1100 SF, we think, because it was broken up into many smaller parts and the ceiling felt low, making the spaces feel smaller. But,we were grateful for each of the spaces.


* Spacious Entryway with storage for Coats/ Ski Gear and Seating - Not Pictured

* Plenty of Spices, Trash Bags, Paper Towels, Tin Foil, Saran Wrap, Dish Soap, etc. etc.

* Knife Sharpener! Thank You!

* Enough Pots and Pans and serving dishes for a large group!

* Heated Tile Floors in Bath's & Kitchen ! AWESOME ! ! !

* TV's & Gaming in each room, including the loft - Entertained kids away from the living room!

* Several nice, soft, fluffy and cuddly blankets - Oh . . . we loved those!

* Full sized Shampoo/Cond/Soap and Excellent Lotion everywhere!

* Lots of "hooks" to hang things on in several rooms (No closet in Master Bedroom)

* Beautifully Renovated with obviously a lot of thought and effort to look nice and work.

* Master Bedroom & 2nd Bedroom spaced far apart so noise is not an issue.

* Close to Entry Door to building, 1st Floor

* Close to Hot Tub and Pool - Yes, the pool is heated in the winter and wonderful to enjoy!

In all we enjoyed the condo and all the amenities it provided!

Roomy and nicely taken care of!

We had a wonderful time during our ski trip. It was our boys' first time skiing and they enjoyed everything Keystone had to offer. The upstairs loft is a nice space for the kids to sleep and hang out. The yellow route bus is only a 1 minute walk from the front door - very convenient to get around.

Lovely condo and pool

There were three adults and one 8-year old in the condo for five days. Thank goodness for the pool; our kiddo used it every single day! We also walked the trail along the Snake River several times. The location is fine, sort of between all the major ski areas. There is a shuttle but we preferred to jump in our car as we wanted to be on our own schedule. The condo is lovely, the beds comfy, and the kitchen beautifully equipped. Thanks for making it available!

Flying Dutchman is nestled in the pines and boarded by the Snake River in Keystone but yet close to everything. Our condo is an 1100 sq. ft. home with two bedrooms, 2 full baths, a queen sized sofa sleeper and a loft that includes two more full size beds. Including the queen sized sofa sleeper, the condo will sleep up to 6-people in queen sized beds & up to 4 small children in the loft or more 2 adults. We completely remodeled the condo in 2013 including, new hand trowel texturing, designer paint, new hickory cabinets, slab granite counter tops, SS appliances, heated slate tile flooring, flat screen TV's and much more. The television channel guide is available "on-screen" at Channel #2.! There are a number of extra lighting fixtures in the condo including, under the long bar, under the kitchen cabinets, over the small bar and many of the primary room light switches have dimmers too. “Look closely to find light switches over and under the bars”. You will find a board game cabinet under the bar too. There is a trash room located just down the hall, (1st door on your left) for excess trash to be removed from the condo.

There is a year round outdoor heated-swimming pool with an indoor hot tub and changing room with nice updated showers. The electronic room card key is required for access to the swimming pool (Look closely at the two ends of the card key for access). There is an outdoor picnic area with charcoal grills, adjacent to the pool and features a sand volleyball court. Flying Dutchman Condominiums are located on the Keystone shuttle line, shuttle stop right across the parking lot.

The condo is within short walking distance to the Snake River. Find the hidden trail down to the Snake River at West of sand volleyball court. There is a fantastic foot path along for an easy river walk to Keystone Lodge restaurants & bars. Find the Snake framed TP by walking to the West on the river trail. Bicyclers are within close riding distance to the paved bicycle trail system leading down to Lake Dillon, the trail system throughout Summit County and mountain bike trails too! In the summer months, the town of Dillon hosts free concerts on Saturday nights at the Lake Dillon Amphitheater. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or lawn chairs for concerts at the amphitheater.

The Keystone Lakeside Village and River Run Villages both lye to the East, off of Hwy 6 and provide a number of dinning, entertainment and shopping choices in the Keystone area. There is a small convenience store on Hwy 6 at the four corners of West Keystone Rd. and Hwy 6. The larger grocery store, City Market is located down in the town of Dillon.
