About Don Gillum
We were on vacation in Pigeon Forge this summer and had a great time. We stayed at a motel on the strip and it was okay but would have liked to have a little more privacy. While we were there we got in contact with a realtor just to see what might be available in the area for purchase. She showed us some properties for sale and they were all nice but when we saw this one we knew we just had to put in a bid for it. By the grace of God we won the bid and were able to purchase this property.
Don Gillum purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Don Gillum chose Pigeon Forge
This cabin is such a great place to stay because it is so close to all the main attractions (only 1/2 mile off the main strip) yet just far enough out that you don't here anything but nature. It is only 5 minutes from Dollywood splashdown country and Margaritaville on the Island. It is 10 minutes from Tanger outlets and about 2 minutes from one of the best restaurants in town, The Old Mill Restaurant. This cabin will sleep 8. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a sleep sofa and a futon. The 2 king beds have brand new 14" thick memory foam mattresses. The sleep sofa has a 3" thick memory foam mattress and the futon is a comfortable 6" thick. The large master bath upstairs has a jetted tub and a separate shower while the large first floor bath has a soaker tub / Shower combo. Enjoy shooting pool in the loft or just sitting on the back deck on the second floor. The hot tub is on the main floor very secluded rear deck as well as the outdoor grill just off the kitchen. If you want to relax and feel like your miles from anywhere but just minutes from everything this is the the cabin for you.

Very clean, quite and easy!
Great After Christmas getaway.
Having owned a Gatlinburg Rental property for many years in the past, I respect owners that try to provide for the needs of their customers. That is the case with this cabin. It was a very nice stay. The memory foam beds were extremely comfortable and we liked the whole layout of the cabin. We plan to come back when we have two couples in the future.
Wonderful family getaway
The cabin was decorated beautifully for Christmas. It had plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 teens. Be aware that it is up a very steep hill. Don was very responsive to our needs and returned our calls quickly when we had a question. It was very well stocked and even included laundry pods. I would definitely recommend and would be interested in staying there again.
Fall color get away with family
As a Professional Organizer, my standards are pretty high and Bearadise did not disappoint. The place was immaculate, warm & cozy, and had the extra touches that even included perfectly tasteful fall decor. Loved the gas fireplace, which we used to take the chill off!
The cabin is in a development; the home across the street is still in the construction phase, however there were no workers when we were there (thank goodness!) Bearadise backs up to a nice stand of trees that were generously showing fall colors when we were there. The back patio has cushy outdoor furniture and sports a nice hot tub and a large BBQ grill for those like us who like to cook at home. The street to the cabin is steep in spots, but it was nothing that our little 4-cylinder rental car couldn't handle.
The cabin is conveniently stocked with ample dishes, serving pieces, pots, pans, etc. The towels and sheets were freshly laundered. If you need anything, there are two large grocery stores in town.
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are just down the hill. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is a short and very scenic drive away, too. We were pleasantly surprised that the damage from the huge fire in late 2016 is not readily evident except from a few vantage points in the mountains. We hiked some beautiful trails and enjoyed the fall colors along the river. We also went into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg although nature is where we prefer to explore.
One suggestion is to create some kind a sound barrier between floors. You can hear everything from blankets rustling at night to the feet hitting the floor in the morning. Other activities would be cause for privacy concerns. And if there were a crying baby or snorer in the group, I am pretty sure everyone in the house would hear it.
Don, the owner, was a delight to work with. I highly recommend "Bearadise" if you are looking for a rustic, well appointed cabin in Pigeon Forge.
Very clean and cozy.
We felt very comfortable. The home was well kept and had everything we needed and more. It was close to attractions and all were within an easy drive. It was so nice to have this homey cabin to come back to at the end of each busy day.
We are so glad you liked the accommodations and had a good time. You are welcome to come back anytime.
Thanks again for choosing Bearadise for your vacation!!!
We enjoyed our stay in pigeon forge in this nearly new cabin. Comfortable beds and convenient to clean everything.
